Also, we found out our very close friends B&P are expecting! We are over the moon, as we have been pegged as aunt and uncle to the new baby/babies. Also because they have been trying for over 6 years, gone through every test and taken every medication possible and to have them tell us they were finally pregnant...well it was probably the best news we could've ever gotten! But they do think they could have twins or even triplets because they had put P on fertility meds to increase the chance of her getting pregnant. They are ecstatic though and so are we!

Tomorrow (oct 3) is gunna be a sort of rough day for Joe, his mom is going in again for more cancer mass removal from her lungs. The docs are not sure if they are gunna have to remove part of a lobe or a whole lobe as if yet. Please send prayers and warm thoughts her way.

I am staving off this cold as well as I can but it is beating me. I have done the soups and the cold meds and NOTHING is touching it. I guess my immune system is still reeling from my surgery and subsequent hospital stays since last month. I can not afford to be sick but if it comes it will come.

Said a prayer for your MIL. Glad to have seen the surgery went well. I will continue to pray that you start to feel better as well!

Am I stressed tonight after work !! It was going okay until I got this goober who had an accent AND slurred his words AND didn't speak up ! I wound up leaving LOTS of blanks which the company does not like......so I am sitting here obssessing over it.

Try not to let it bother you! A lot of times I get that way at work too, so I shouldn't talk, but I am getting better by not letting it! Stress eats away at us and it's not worth it!

we might go to a zoo today...not sure yet....if so it will be the one in Heidelberg....it is a nice zoo with all the wild animals and the ones we got over here in germany, too.....Kandice inherited my love for all kinds of animals....so she always luuuuuuuuuves this

Hey everyone & good morning! Last Thurs. after school @ my daughters school some of the JV football player & varsity were waiting on JV game to start & went across the road to a convenience store. This is typical as they are @ a smaller school & this store is almost like an extension of the school. Everyone knows everyone.This 14 year old boy on JV team was crossing back to the school & was hit by a car. Unfortunately there were some other team members just behind him & witnessed the whole thing. Some say they saw him get hit & etc.This poor little boy was airlifted I think, & passed away shortly after. This child was only 14!!!! This is a horrible tragedy & I can't imagine how his family & friends are coping with this. His funeral is this afternoon & I know lots of students will be attending. My daughter didn't know him personally but alot of her friends did. Nonetheless all the kids are mourning the loss of this little boy. The school had a game FRi. night & did a beautiful tribute to this young man. My daughter said it was very somber @ school on Fri. I would like to ask everyone to lift this young mans family, friends, & school up in your prayers today. Grab your child today & hug them just a little tighter.....that's exactly what I did.

What temps right!!! On Sat by me it was 72 and on Subnday 68, today 63... But by next Sat we will be back up to 70. This weather is very warm for us... Did you like the festival?

Well my niece's just left. I was coughed and sneezed on for the last 3 hours so I'll probably be sick tomorrow morning.

Oh! Forgot to mention an interesting sighting! A friend of mine informed me last night that spotted some Egg Nog in a grocery store. Egg nog, already!

I wish I liked egg nog. :-( I tried it again last year, and still don't like it.

Hi all!!! Sorry been MIA for a few days but have been busy busy busy.
We went to the Scotland County Highland Games yesterday and I got wore out major. Came home and fell asleep on the love seat, all 5 ft 8 1/2 inches of me curled up in some seriously contorted postions. Woke up with a nasty crick in my neck and my back screaming for tylenol.

Well, today was a day where anything that could go wrong went wrong. I now have to work tomorrow, some bigwigs are touring and I am not ready for the tour, I am so far behind. I will be leaving the house at 5:30am. I must head to bed.

My SIL introduced me to Lactaid last night so I could have some spumoni. I couldn't believe the difference!! Now on to some Chunky Monkey which I haven't had since 1995!!!!!!

Good evening, Christmas friends. Hubby and I have returned from visiting SIL and her family. I have LOTS of prizes to award, and I hope to have them all sorted by tomorrow. I went to see the Workman's Comp "guy" on Friday to tell him that I forgot to ask my surgeon how long I would be off work. I told him that I did get a sub for the day of surgery and the day after since I wasn't sure how I would feel. He laughed and said the surgeon determines that. (My surgeon was out of town at that time.) Well, today I called the doctor's office and the surgeon's nurse checked my chart and said I would be off work for eight weeks!!!!! I almost fainted. Here I was expecting to go back to work right away. That would mean that I might not return to work until January 2012!!! I have had some major surgeries and have never been off more than five days. Of course I did push myself just a little! Hubby said WC is definitely taking precautions.

Seems like I have difficulty finding time on the least busiest days. I haven't done a whole lot today - just hang around the house. But, I was always doing something, so I guess I was somewhat busy. Otherwise, we had practice tonight in the rain. It hasn't stopped raining since last Friday, so everything is real wet.

Now, Kim and I are just watching some TV for the evening. I think I'll do some catching up on the boards. Oh! Kim and I are heading to the Rideau Centre tomorrow... I will have my trusty blackberry ready for Christmas sightings! I love October!

That is one of the nice things about living in the Midwest - we get all four seasons and I look forward to all of them to a certain degree but I'm unusual in that Fall/Winter are my favorite seasons of the year.

My girlfriend prefers Fall/Spring due to to the mid-range temperatures. Personally, I prefer the extremes. I love Summer and Winter! While there are sports that I love to play during the summer, the winter provides me with nearly endless hockey and football. Oh, and some day/season called Christmas?! :-x
