I have a busy day ahead of me again, just wanted to pop on quick and catch up on the Countdown.

Hey all,

Feeling pretty bad today, sore thorat, ear hurting and it's not making me feel very merry right now:-(
The kids are getting excited about Halloween now as we will more than likly have a Halloween party then sleep over the weekend of. There's not much trick or treating here on Halloween so I normly buy candy for the kids make some chili and we sit and watch movies together. They like that and with it being a school night this year, it will be easyer on me.

Been looking around for idea's for the gift exchange here. My daughter came up with a wonderful idea that I think I just may have to run with.......

Soon I can bring out my Christmas stuff and then the real fun will begin for me. The kids are already asking if we can go ahead and being it out Makes me so proud....:!!

P.S. Undrtakr I would be the one in the corner with the bright orange shirt in that reads "This IS my halloween mask" J/K lol but I do own that shirt. and it's never to early for Christmas I think most folks are just hiding their inner Child lol.

Hahaha not to laugh a out your asthma, but the whole incident in general is pretty funny!! Well sounds funny haha does it happen every year?

Well my Niece just got done with her second infusion and it's not looking good. As soon as they stopped the IV she started getting really dizzy and having chills really bad. Of course the childrens hospital just wheeled her out to the car in a wheelchair and told my sister to follow up with her regualr doctor if she's not better in a couple of hours.

That is terrible she has to go through that. I hope she gets well soon!

I have spent the last two nights working at Hallmark and prepping for this weekend. All of the Christmas cards are out (individual ones, not quite done with the boxed ones) and I have been in the Christmas spirit the whole time! Of course, I have had nearly every customer complaining about us having Christmas stuff out "when it isn't even Halloween yet!

If someone doesn't care much for Christmas that is up to them and I won't judge them on how they feel but leave the rest of us Christmas nuts alone! :lol:

It seems like they would have more serious issues in their life to worry about than to complain about merchandise being sold in a store. I say, "get a life"! oint:

Good a.m to all on this wonderful site!! about to get myself & daughter out to work & school. my daughter goes for an MRI this afternoon due to her migraine headaches. I've had to put it off trying to get insurance & all that mess straightened out. Finally she's getting it. I do hope it's just hereditary; meaning there's nothing else going on. me, my mom, & my grandmother all have them. please say a prayer for her if you would. @ work we're decorating the "big" tree. we've done several others but this one will take the longest. the lights are brutal to put on. not even sure i have enough right now. i keep saying i'm gonna post some pics...but i really am once my kids show me how,LOL! hope ya'll have a great Thursday!!

I put up my halloween stuff. Then November 1st it goes right back to Christmas stuff.

Well I'm getting ready for my Halloween party at the end of the month. Too bad all of you didn't live closer. That would be a BIG bash! Last saturday of this month Im having people over. Costumes are optional, but better if they wear one. Some are party poopers and never wear one. I always do.

Oh, costumes! I though you meant clothes are optional! I wondered what kind of party you were thowing! :lol:

I know the History, but how do you get there from here??? I am not 100% PC savvy, so please don't everyone laugh... I am already blushing!!!!

Well the Pines is kind of like the North Pole. There's no map to get there. You just have to close your eye's and believe.

......and your imagination can run wild with all the cool things The Pines have to offer. It's a really neat place to visit! :!!

I believe you on that! I had asthma as a child and I seem to always get asthma attacks on my birthday and yes, on Christmas day! It was horrible. We didn't have the treatments they have today to relieve the symptoms. I had to just lay up in bed to get over it. Awful feeling!

Wonderful, that's just what I need! Carl's Wakey-Wakey Tea! I've been stuffy-nosed and tired all week, and nothing I've taken for allergies has helped, so it must be another cold. It would be, with lots to do at home and a busy weekend ahead ... [groan] At least we get Monday off---that might help.

I can't find the post but who said that you can't call it Christmas baking without the Christmas music?

I had done baking the other day making pumpkin and banana nut muffins to Christmas music and they came out wonderful! Yesterday I made some more pumpkin muffins without playing Christmas music and I messed them all up.

It's true! You need the Christmas music while you bake!!! :transform:

Just relaxing, now that the kids are at school, they just wear me down, they are so high energy and never stop fighting with each other. I may run out to the mall to see what Christmas stuff awaits me. Not much planned besides that.

I saw fresh cranberries at the store this morning, another sign the best holidays are almost here!

Good Thursday morning, my Christmas friends!

Forgive me any typos this morning. I have a band-aid on my finger, and it's disrupting my typing speed and accuracy. Actually, it might improve the accuracy since I have to slow down.

I tried to jump-start my enthusiasm for working on my deck yesterday. That's right; it's still not completely finished. I was so focused on getting the floor down and the handrails up that I sorta dropped the ball on the final touches, like cutting all of the posts off to the same height above the handrails and putting the lattice around the bottom. I'm also planning electrical receptacles at each corner, and water faucets at each corner.

Sounds like I better get back to work, eh?
