Happy Pinesday everyone!
Busy today. I had lunch at the pines. Carl made me a turkey dinner, plenty left over for everyone! After work I have to take my van in again. Oil light stays on dinging. Driving what little sanity I have left out of my head. I had to stay home from work yesterday. Took William to to the doctor. He has a cold. Today he went to daycare. He seems ok now. But you know how little kids are! I think I will head to Walmart to get more pictures to spam the Christmas Blossoms with! hehe. I have been listening to MMCR 2 but its broken now. I saw others are having issues. Anyone know when it will be fixed? I'm itching to put my Christmas stuff up. 21 days till it all goes up! I cant wait! Well time to get back to work. Hope everyone has a great day!

I just checked out Hallmark channel shedule the first week of November they are playing thanksgiving and Christmas movies! I am getting excited about the season like never before, I am so glad to be home now and things are just now slowing down, this is the time of year I just wish time would freeze so I can savor every moment. I am off work today and I am going to cook mashed potato and teriyaki pork tenderloin for brandi when she gets home from school.
We have been going to birthing classes and it has put me in shock kind of! She wants to do it without any pain killers,we have about 3 months left,so we are getting down to the last trimester! wish us luck!

That's awesome about Hallmark channel...even if those movies are ultra cheesy, I still like watching them! Woo hoo!

I am with you on wanting time to freeze. It's already approaching SO FAST.

Making her dinner for when she gets home? I think you officially RULE. My boyfriend did that for me last night and ended up...he didn't even like what he made. He made it anyway though because he knew I'd like it. He's such a sweetie.

No 'Pines for me tonight---I got over my cold, but was in bed all day yesterday with food poisoning. We went out to eat Monday evening for our anniversary, and something at the restaurant must have been not quite right. Couldn't even keep water down yesterday. I'm up to saltines and Gatorade today and am going to try some broth for lunch. So tired and weak.

I'm not caught up with the posts, but congratulations to those with good news, prayers for those with bad news, and "get well soon" to those who aren't feeling well.

When does The Pines decorate for Christmas? and will there be a big party for all of us to help them decorate? I have always wanted to see a camel put a star or angel on top of a tree.

I imagined that the 'Pines always has some Christmas up, but adds to it during the season. I'd like to see Carl put the topper on the tree, too!

Good weds morning! I have been swamped at work and home since I have been home in the last 2 weeks! Just wanted to peek in here and tell my peeps hello! I have been working like 12 hour days and have been going to birthing classes at night, Brandi is 6 months along now and looking very very pregnant! I can't believe how fast this season is going thus far. I will try to get caught up here later on today! Have a great day everyone!

Been up all night with the youngest who has a bad sinus infection poor lil guy. Ihave found trying to keep a almost 3 year old propped up so he can breath better is NOT fun and I am working on my 2nd night of no sleep but oh welll they are only little for just a little while.....


and to the folks of MMC radio THANK YOU!!! it's been my saving grace for the past two nights!

other than that things are ok here! Hope everyone has a wonderful Wenesday!!!!

Good Pinesday morning, MMC!

I ended up having a most excellent day yesterday - the library didn't have any new Christmas cookbooks, but I did find the next books in several of the series I read. Spent the rest of the day with my cousin - we had a very enjoyable time. We went to the local thrift store and I found Mary, Joseph, Baby Jesus and two camels for my new nativity set. These pieces are made in Italy - very nice looking! There was a manger there, but I didn't have enough money to buy it, nor do I know where I will store it once I do - yep, I am planning on going back next week. Hopefully it will still be there, if not, I just might have to figure out how to make one.

Back to work today YAY....I mean booo! what is wrong with me? It's nice weather right now, but rain is supposed to move in and be here until Saturday. I put my inflatable Dracula in its final resting place since it will not inflate properly, the kids will be upset, but I tried to fix it yesterday to no avail. Nothing else going on here.

When does The Pines decorate for Christmas? and will there be a big party for all of us to help them decorate? I have always wanted to see a camel put a star or angel on top of a tree.

Just sitting here catching up on posts. It is a very rainy, very cool, very October day here in N.E. Ohio and I love it !!!! I am supposed to exercise today but I don't know if I will get it in. I know I should but we all know how that goes !!

Work has been going so much better than when I very first started with them back in February !! Thanks to a new account in radiology I get (usually) tons of lines and hardly any goobers ! A true blessing.

I don't know if I mentioned it but thankfully I have been able to taper down the oral steroid I have been on for 2 years...now If I can just keep it at the level it currenty is !! I already have osteoporosis and steroids are certainly no friend of bones. The one thing I don't get is that since I have tapered my appetite has gone into overdrive ! When you increase the dose that is what usually happens - not when you decrease it -Oh well.....Guess I am backward (as usual !!)

Thanks Merry!! I don' really believe it either. As a person who follows (TRIES) to follow Christ I know He himself said......."No man will know the day or the hour......." Good Wednesday morning, my Christmas friends!

It seems I eat every evening meal at my in-laws these days, not that I'm complaining, mind you. Yesterday we went to the local BBQ place and bought a few pounds of BBQ pork, then got some bread & BBQ sauce and made sandwiches at home. These days, we usually go to the drive-thru and pickup a couple sandwiches, but when I was a kid we used to buy BBQ from this same place and they'd wrap it in wax paper and tape it up. And they still do...who knew?! It was great!

That sounds delicious! It's nice to hear that some traditions stick around!

Glad to hear you're able to taper back on the steroids. They can be a wonderful help, but I know they are tough on the body as well.

Don't feel bad, my body reacts to everything backwards too. We can be discombobulated together!

Good afternoon! I have been looking through my journal today and I documented when my leaves changed last fall,and I can't believe with the warm weather we have had that my leaves are 3 weeks ahead of schedule this year...I am sitting here looking at my front yard and the maples are bright red and yellow and can't imagine in mid october they would already be changing. Last year i had leaves falling the week of Christmas! Oh the joys of living in the deep south! you know that stuff you can buy to inflate a flat tire and it seals it up? why not try that on your Dracula? Inflate part way , then add that stuff, inflate the rest of the way and shake well until the whole interior in coated...it might work.

Another beautiful day here in Ottawa. Wow. Today was my first day at my new job! That's right, I actually got that job I had an interview for about three weeks ago! I didn't say much about it afterward as I always feel that I jinx myself. Anyway, I started today with Natural Resources Canada. It was fairly enjoyable. I'm just being brought in, so it was fairly simple. Still, I am excited to be finally making money!

Glad to hear that, dealing with goobers can really be a drain on a person!

prayers and thoughts go out to you, glad to hear you were able to taper off the steroids, they can wreck havoc on the body over time.

been enjoying a quiet afternoon at the pines, the weather there is much better than here (raining) I cannot come tonight which is why I spent the afternoon there instead. Carl even made me a special batch of sweet tea and fired twinkies and then sat beside me as we enjoyed the view.
Anyway, Crown is right, decorations can be seen in the trees all year round,but they keep changing...possibly because Carl likes rearranging them!
Looking so froward to seeing how it gets really decorated this year!!! Any hints on the theme?
