Good Tuesday afternoon! Holy COW. Under a week until Halloween? I'm like a little kid on that day. We are able to wear costumes to work. So that will be fun. Found out that my Mom, Sister and Niece are coming down the first weekend in November. They are going to help decorate and put up the tree! That will be nice. Plus I get a chance to see my niece. Party is creeping closer. Already starting to plan my Christmas party. I am in FULL swing! But I want Halloween too. LOL. Oh well. Everyone will probably agree that this time of year goes by very fast. Well back to work I go. Have a great day all!

Good Monday morning, Christmas family!

Tomorrow I am helping my cousin and will be out most of the day, so I have a lot to get done this morning. I'm going to listen to some Alice Cooper as I clean house and then when I work, I will put on the Christmas tunes

Have a HOLLY, JOLLY day!!!

Love that a little pump to get going and a little Merry to stay on course!!!

Good Morning, friends!

Happy Monday!! Although as I type, I hear "Manic Monday" playing on the radio =) It defintely is!! Ahh!
Once I got to work, I realized I left my work laptop at home. Had to turn around and start over! Sheesh

I hope you all had a lovely weekend!

We had a nice evening with friends, got some yardwork done, carved a few pumpkins, and watched football yesterday. It was really nice!

And we heard back from Harlowe's vet, and her post liver function test results came back really good. She's a little confused, though, because the pre-test was higher than normal. She's consulting an internist to ask what would cause that.. Anyways, I'm happy with these results!! Thanks again to all who have been thinking of her.

I went to Marshall's recently and bought a butter/spritz cookie set, and can't wait to try it out over Christmas time! I've always loved those cookies. My Aunt used to make them with red & green food coloring, and they looked so festive. YUM!

I know I had more to write, but I'm drawing a blank. I'll oce again just blame it on Monday morning! Ha!

I hope you all have a lovely day!! Take care!

I saw a set like that in the Marshall's by me, it does look fun. I wanted to try my hand at those Itailian honey ones, I just have been pondering the right recipe... I do so "Love" those kind of mornings, but it is now already Tuesday, YAY!!!!

Couldn't wait to post this.

When I was out grocery shopping this morning at our local strip mall, the outdoor loudspeaker was playing Rudolph, The Red-Nosed Reindeer!
(Couldn't believe it, as there was not a single Christmas decoration in sight.)

OMG LOVE IT!!!!!!

lauriebear it sounds like you had a great weekend!! that"s great!

Thank you we did :)

Just Impulse bought Michael Bubles new Christmas CD.........

And it is absolutely the best 14$ I have ever spent without second guessing it!
wow, his Christmas Renditions are Beautiful!

I wondered if it would be as good as his first now I have to get a copy!!!!

Also......8 days till Our Christmas Tree Goes up!

YAY!!! I am so happy for you!!!! Soon for ours... soon, just not soon enough!!!!

Yes that would be fun! I wish we could dress up for halloween, but no we have to wear our regular uniforms on halloween! but I am like a kid too on that day,I think I am like that because as kids we never were able to celebrate and we didn't so as an adult I am making up for lost time!lol I usually take vacation the last week of October so this is the first year I am working on that day. But still I can't wait,it's such a fun day!

Good afternoon, everybody! I'm catching up after hooking work to go to the Eastern Shore yesterday. Hubby and I went to every produce stand on Rt. 50, buying pumpkins and enjoying a nice fall day. We rode to St. Michael's, just to say we did it. Afterward we ate at Cracker Barrel and went home. Then came the best part of the day; carving the Jack-O-Lanterns.

Yes indeed! Jack-O-Lanterns on the porch; a sure sign that the Christmas Season is almost here!

When do you start using your favourite Christmas mug, Brad!?
Actually, I use it everytime I make a pot of coffee at home.

Good afternoon! Today is dragging,it should be time to go home already. Just another hour and a half and my work day will be done. Its such a nice day out, warm days and cool nights! just noticed on our 10 day forcast we are getting down into the 30's next week! Looking forward to our first frost!

Hard to believe we are only 19 days away from the Christmas Season. But, it is even harder believe that we are only two months away from Christmas Day. Yes, only two months until Christmas!!

So, I don't mean to sound dumb BUT...why do you say that it's 19 days until the "season"? I keep hearing people talk about the season starting in mid November but I have no idea what they're talking about. You're not talking about Thanksgiving...that's 30 days away. You're not talking about Nov1...that's, unbelievably, 7 days away. So what gives?

Oh- here's the second pumpkin my husband carved over the weekend: Dawn Of The Dead. Creepy!
I see that you guys have a ZombiePumpkins.com membership too! I love that site for amazing patterns. Good job!

Thanks! Yes, it's a great site with so many patterns!! Some of my favorites that he did last year were the Headless Horseman, Pinhead & Michael Myers!! We love the original Halloween. GingerMel, my husband actually bought a special dremel kit for pumpkins! He's obsessed! Tehehe!

The season starts on November 13th. Here is Crown's explantion from the first post of the countdown.

Why November 13? No reason, really. It just seems about the right time to regard the season as arriving. That date is exactly 6 weeks before Christmas Day and is about the time the country at large is beginning to really get into the holiday spirit. Most of the stores have decorated. And starting the season then gives us exactly 50 days (Nov 13 through Jan 1) to enjoy being "within" the season.

Good afternoon everyone ... Well I am a little heart broken... actually a lot heart broken ... the other night our 10 yr old daughter questioned us about Santa. Now this has been the 2nd time in the past few months and we felt we had to explain everything to her. At first she was upset and cried. We explained that there is more to Santa then just the jolly red suited man himself. We went over what the season is about and what it embodies ... The bright side is that we have a 5 yr old that still believes and our daughter will help him keep that belief. She will also help in make elf mischief a couple nights a week by deciding what mischief the magical elves will get into. We also told her that what Santa embodes is very real and that is something that we believe in.

On a better note.... we bought ou first ornament of the season last night! Saw a few more that I wanted so I am going to try to pick up at least one new ornament or something christmassy every pay day....

Hope everyone has a great day!

I don't know how it did it but the air conditioner in my bedroom got 10 times heavier since I put it in. Talk about being wore out.

Thanks everyone for being concerned! Everyone is pretty much feeling better. EA (my daughter), now has a swollen eye. Last time she got a cold, her eye got all swollen that time too. The doctor has said last time it was just a viral thing and it would go away. She woke up yesterday with it and she still has it today. I guess we will see how this part goes now. As for Ella, she's doing good, thanks! She's acting totally normal!

Good Morning Everyone!!!!!!!!!!! It is a dreary morning here in central Indy. I don't know what I'm going to do today. I have a lot of stuff I want to get done before the season starts but I'm feeling pretty lazy today. I do need to call Compaq about my laptop. It's not even a year old and the screen is starting to go out. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!

Good luck with getting your issue figured out with your laptop!

Hello everyone, I need to get caught up, but what a weekend here in New York!!! It was PERFECT. Spent the day hiking the trails in Montauk, had a beautiful dinner at my favorite restaurant, which was having their Octoberfest!!! Can you say YUMMY!!! Had a bonfire on the beach, Snicker's played with her ball and dug some huge holes!!! We all enjoyed ourselves!!! Came home Sunday, late mass, putter around didn't do much of anything a little football, some snacking, a little laundry and now back to work.

With Direct TV it is called the Holiday & Happenings Channel but it is only offered on the Choice Ultimate & Premier Packages - it is channel 815.

Sounds like you had a wonderful weekend! Do you know when the programming will start?

Hello Everyone!!

I haven't been around much this year, but I do think of MMC and all my Christmas Pals everyday!! Today I just had to stop in. I ordered my Black Friday Shopping Tshirt this year, and it really hit me how close we are. In about 2 weeks, my Christmas Tree goes up (11/12). I can hardly believe how close it is. I know here at MMC we keep Christmas in our hearts all year long, but it amazes me how quickly the time approaches as the rest of the world catches up with all of us. This year I became part of an online travel agency and it has kept me busy but I am not complaining. The Lord knows how thankful I am for all my blessings he has given me.

So I hope everyone is doing well. I look forward to reading and catching up on the posts. I will get back into stopping by everyday to share in the Christmas Spirit. Take care everyone, have a WONDERFUL day!!!!

Welcome back!

You're friend is very luck to have a friend like you!

This is wonderful news! I will be continuing to pray for you and Harlowe!

Soooo.......the fact that I've been posting a lot this morning should give you all a hint: I wasn't able to go to work this morning. Why? My butt started being a pain this morning and I mean that quite literally! :(

Hope you're feeling better today!

My wrist is a bit swollen now, though.

Hope your wrist is feeling better today!

Also, my dad phoned on Friday and informed me that he was coming to visit this upcoming weekend.

Hope you have a great visit with your dad! Praying for safe travels!

Why did I get up at 3:55am? Especially when I went to bed at 1am. It's going to be a long day.

Hope you're having an okay day, Made! I had real issues with insomnia when I was pregnant both times, especially because of working nights. I hope you're able to catch a nap at some point, then able to sleep tonight!

I think that's always hard when kids start questioning and sad when you have to explain to them about Santa, but it's great that you guys still all believe together.

Happy Rudolph Day Christmas friends! Just think in one month it will be Black Friday and Thanksgiving will be over =0/.... time is starting to go by too fast now. I hope November and December go by super slow but you all know they always fly by!

Im having some minor surgery done next Wednesday (and Im looking forward to listening to Christmas music on music choice tv channel all day while I recoop).. nothing major but it has had me a little worried, getting myself all worked up and have been throwing up , upset stomach a lot because of it! Been busy at work but hoping to be able to get back on here a few times a week again! I miss you guys and I hope you all are doing well!

Hello Christmas family! It's sooo great to be caught up on the countdown! The household is pretty much back to normal again and the kiddos are almost 100%. EA now has a swollen eye, which the last time she had a viral infection, the same thing happened. At that time, the doctor had no idea why it happened, but said with some allergy medicine, with time, it would go away. It took a few days, but it did go away. This time, the same thing has happened, but she has already had it for 2 days and it hasn't improved at all. I guess I will just keep an eye on it. Otherwise, both kids are better.

In other aspects, I am off tonight. Thank goodness. I worked 5 days straight and work was super busy. I need a day off. Trick-or-treating is Thursday here and we're taking the kids out. EA is excited, even though she doesn't fully understand. It will be a fun time.

Well, I hope you're all having a great day. Talk to you all on here later!

Actually, I use it everytime I make a pot of coffee at home.

Oh! I figured that you reserved your favourite for the Christmas Season - or perhaps a special day! Can't go wrong with using it every day, however!

I'll keep you in my prayers and we miss you too.

EA (my daughter), now has a swollen eye.

I hope EA feels better soon. My face tends to swell when I get sinus infections too.

I have to send my laptop in to get fixed. CS said it was the cable to the monitor coming lose and not the screen itself because it only does it at certain angles. So I have to find a box and get some bubble wrap and then email them to schedule a pick up with fed ex.

Good Afternoon MMC!

Long day here, got lots done. Entering a gingerbread house contest. I have one month to design and build it with a tropical theme.
Picked up some nice Christmas items at the thrift store.
Got a kit to make a tree skirt, now have to find time to do it. Got it for only $4, brand new, originally $55 from Michaels.

Going to be fun trying to get it done!
Have a great rest of the day everyone!

Very nervous about the interview and road test tomorrow, not at all sure I am doing the right thing even going, knowing how much I disliked being on the road last time I tried trucking. But not working much is a pain to, especially when trying to pay bills!
