Goodnight Everyone!!!!!!

Good Morning MMC!!!!!!!!!! It is going to be a cool day here in central Indy with some scattered rain showers hanging around this morning. I once again couldn't sleep. This time it's because I couldn't stop coughing. I'm defintely coming down with a cold. So I'm getting ready to head into walgreens to get some cold medicine. Then maybe I can come back home and get some sleep. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown airs tonight--YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm guessing I slept a bit better b/c I didn't wake up feeling as groggy this morning so hopefully, that's a good sign for the rest of today. :hello:

Go to QVC for Bethlehem Lights, they brag about how long they last on batteries.

Good Morning, friends!!!

Happy Thursday!! One more day...the weekend is almost here!

Anyone have any big Halloween plans? What about costumes?

We have been watching a lot of Fearfest on AMC & cool little shows on the Travel Channel to get us in the Halloween mood.
I think we're going to see Paranormal Activity 3 this weekend, too. I hope it lives up th the hype!!

Hope you all have a fantastic day!! xo

Good rainy morning! I'm still getting ready for this potential "wet snow" on Saturday, yahoo!! I hope it comes! We have our first freeze watch tonight, too.

I saw my first tree IN A HOUSE the other day!!! In someone's front window, a big old Christmas tree, all lit up. AND my neighbors have some veryyyyy Christmasy lights in their backyard. I tried to get a good pic but it just comes out blurry. It makes me so happy every time I look out back!

Good Day-Before-Weekend Eve Morning, Christmas Fanatics!

Can we be that far along, already?
The count gives us a clue:
Days to Halloween: 4 (Scarcely over HALF a week!)
Days to the Season: 17 (UNDER 2 1/2 weeks off!)
Days to Christmas Day: 59 (BELOW 60!)
Time is just racng by, my Friends.

Sixty degrees for my morning walk.
Nice for late October, with mid 70's pending for one last day before we crash.
Oh, well. At least it will be seasonal!

You have a Thrilling Thursday, Everyone!

Good morning, everyone!

It's Thursday! One more day of work - following this one, of course. A sign that the Season is nearing in Ottawa is upon us today. It is our first day in below freezing temperatures. Currently, we are at -1C (29F) with a windchil of -5C (23F). It was a chilly walk to the bus stop today. I could not find my gloves, so my hands were a little cold... Luckily, I had my toque and sweater to keep me warm. I don't know why, but I never wear my winter coat until mid-November at the earliest. It's just something that I have always done... Temperatures are not going to get much warmer. It looks like highs are in the single digits (below 50F) 13 of the next 14 days. I will take it!

Kim and I went to our friends' house for dinner last night. There was supposed to be another couple, but one of them has a serious ear infection... Poor Scotty. Still, it was a great time. We had some delicious food and we brought over a raspberry mango pie for dessert - store bought from a local bakery. It was incredible!

Not a lot going on today yet... I have a few things to do, at least... As for tonight, I do believe I am going to the gym and then hanging in for the rest of the evening. I have a feeling that next weekend will be a prime time for Christmas decorations to be put out everywhere - so I'll leave that until then.

Only 17 more days until the Season begins! Two weeks from Sunday! I can't wait. It is difficult to keep fighting the urge of putting Christmas music on my iPod. Have a great Thursday, everyone!

You may get snow before Ottawa!

tree IN A HOUSE?! That is very impressive. I never would expect a Christmas Tree prior to Halloween, but I have no complaints! Beautiful! I can't wait to look out my balcony and see some Christmas lights. More great signs of the Season!

Congratulations! Great to hear that you have your priorities straight!

Good Morning MMC!

that was one of the wildest parties I ever attended at the Pines! Where did that haunted house come from? I do not recall ever seeing a house in that spot before.
Must have been what caused everyone to run into and throw stuff. Of course, Carl has never put that container on the steps before, but boy did it splash a lot when you knocked over the 5 gallon pot of his new pumpkin blend while riding the toboggan down the stairs. He is going to be cleaning all week!

Oh, oh - please tell me you didn't put a stealth camera at the Pines
I have some priceless stealth pix of Binger and a glass of sweet tea!!

On to Christmas decorations...Do any of you wrap garland around a railing/on a staircase? I do every year, but never do lights because of the cord issue. I usually do the pine boughs ( rustic ones with snow, pinecones, and berries) and weave in some festive ornaments. Every year, I look for a solution with the lights. Do any of you have any advice? Is there a way to hide the cord under the railing? The other issue I have is that there's no convenient plug-in, and I don't really want a long extension cord. Hmmm...

I found this in a catalog. It's a 6-foot-long battery-operated garland, but it may be too short to twine around a bannister. This merchant has other battery-operated greenery and decorations, so you may want to poke around their website.

Good morning everyone. My stomach is in knots today. I have alot of work to get done, but it's a dreary gloomy day here which was a surprise I thought it was going to be party sunny today, but I will take gloomy because it is so rare around here. The trees are still very pretty with all the contrasting colors of Autumn. Well wish me luck that I actually make it through today without flipping out everyone!! have a great day!
