Good Morning MMC!

Today is my favorite sons birthday...hard to believe my "baby" is 24 now!

Got a cake decorating class to teach this afternoon (grade 4 & 5 kids, 7 of them) It is fun, and as much a lesson for me as for them since this is the first class I have ever taught.

Table is slowly filling with baked pieces of gingerbread that will hopefully all fit together to make a house when done.

Hope you all have a fantastic day!!!

Wow, they grow up fast..my oldest is 17. Have a fun day with the kids today!

Good morning everyone! Its PINESDAY! I'm reporting live from the pines. Carl is putting up more Christmas trees. "no Carl...a little more to the left". That's better! Carl is wearing his "Christmas Vacation" shirt today. Its a little small though hehe. Probably too much Christmas chocolate haha. Yesterday we put the tree up, not decorated yet. This weekend Mom, Sister and Niece are coming down to help! Today after work I'm going to put the lights on the house and turn them on. Ill post pictures. Last night I stayed up a little later then I should have. Oh well. Live and learn! Have a great day all and see you at the pines!

Hi everyone, Happy belated Halloween and Happy November 1st! Sorry I have been MIA again UGH! Been so busy at work and tomorrow is my surgery. I woke up with a cold this morning, not feeling too bad mainly just a stuffy nose.. already spoke to my doctor but now even more nervous about my surgery and getting put to sleep while I have a cold..just looking forward to watching the Christmas music on music choice "sounds of the season" when I get home. 23 days until US Thanksgiving =0). Going to try to catch up on some posts!
I have been gone awhile. I didn't know you were having surgery. Is it day surgery or will you have to be admitted? I pray all goes well!
Oh, well, that just means I have to go to Frankenmuth again this week - Bronners, here I come!

How nice to get to go there AGAIN! Have fun!
Hello Christmas Pals,

Seems like everyone is really into the spirit now that Halloween is over. One of my co-workers told me today she decided to put up her tree before Thanksgiving weekend. That way her long thanksgiving holiday/weekend can be more relaxing and she will enjoy the Christmas season more.
I love having all my Christmas decorations up before Thanksgiving. It does make the weekend after Thanksgiving more relaxing to be surrounded by the beauty of Christmas lights! =)
Hi All!

I'm seriously debating if I want to put up my tree this weekend or next. Hmmm......

Put it up now! cheesy
He got elected into eldership at the church.
Congratulations to your hubby!

I might be adopting another furchild. My sister called tonight and it seems there is a little Chihuahua who needs a home.....someone in her current home is allergic.......so....I am thinking about it. I know..some of you think I am crazy.....Maybe I am. I have just always felt that my "calling" is to care for the furry kids on this earth the best that I can and give them love and all the things they need...
I don't think you are crazy! Adopt the baby and add to your already awesome fur family! Let us know how it goes.

I feel I have a calling too but don't have all the resources to take care of them all but wish I could. I just do the best I can. =)

Happy Birthday to him!!!!

I just have a couple of table top trees up but ready to set up the big tree! Can't wait to see your pictures!

I slept 11 hours last night!!! Wow, I am still trying to rest up from our "vacation" ha ha! Why is it we are suppose to relax on our vacation but end up coming home exhausted?! It didn't help much that I got a little stressed over what happened to my cousin with her heart. I am relieved now that she has a pacemaker and can lead a normal life.

Coach, what is going on with our Cowboys??? I hope they can win the next game and especially on Thanksgiving Day!

Xmas365, I hope you are ok! You and your family have had a rough year of bad weather.

Can y'all believe this thread has over 400,000 views? Insane.
Do you think 500,000 is possible by the end of the year when this thread closes?
(HALF A MILLION views. WOW!!)

Good Morning!!

Hey! It's mid-week Pines Day open house.
Carl is ready with fall-themed decor (and the beginings of Christmas as Undrtakr pointed out).
And Carl is promising one free Christmas ornament with the purchase of the 2nd Fired Twinkie. (The first one is always free on Wednesdays, of course.)

To the count:
Days to the Season: 11
Days To Thanksgiving Day: 22
Days to Christmas Day: 53
SINGLE DIGITS to the Season the day after tomorrow!!

Again cold (upper 30's ) for my morning walk.
Sunny and calm, though.
(I could use a little Indian Summer!)

You all, each and every one, have a Wonderful Wednesday and a Perfect Pines Day.
Holiday(?) and I will see you there with (Christmas) bells on!

Good Morning Everyone!!!!!!!! It's going to be a nice day here in central Indy with a high in the mid to upper 60's. I have to go babysit my youngest niece for awhile and then it will be back home to start getting my Christmas decorations down out of the attic. I usually put my countdown to Christmas sign out on November 1st but I never got to it yesterday. So it definitely has to go up today. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Looks like a busy day later today---I've been told to expect a copy deck for a revised website. I've seen the unrevised website ... yeah, I'm gonna be busy when that hits my desk! I hope I can get to the 'Pines tonight.

So Monday, both my parents and me received a 'save the date' for my cousin's wedding. It'll be next May (Memorial Day weekend) and I've been looking foward to this....until last night. Dad and I had a bit of a talk. He then suggested that I go online and check out airline flights (from Tallahassee to Boston). Roundtrip is just over $400!! Dad then asked if going there to say "hi" for a few minutes would be worth it.

In other words, he basically shot down any chances of me attending my cousin's wedding. Lets just say I've not been a happy Kimmy during the night (woke up crying at one point :-( ).

::sighs::

Don't give up just yet---keep an eye on the airfares for that weekend---maybe they'll go down. Also, the fare sometimes goes down if you fly at non-peak times (weekdays, red-eyes, stops instead of non-stop) ... check out some different times and dates and different airlines. Also check airfares to nearby non-Boston airports (Hanscomb or Manchester)---you could drive to Boston from there, or take a bus. There might be a way to work it out yet.

Whoa! I have to get me my 2nd fired twinkie!!!

Woahh I just read through like 30 pages of this thread. My head is smoking now!

We do not celebrate Halloween here (well not really anyway) and I am happy about it. When do you have Thanksgiving in the States? I thought it was supposed to be at the end of October.

Anyway I just figured out which two christmas markets I will be visiting this year.

I also bought all the big christmas gifts already (maybe I'll buy a couple little ones later), which is good because I need to save a lot of money for my summer holidays next year! I will be traveling to the States for the first time! It will also be my first long journey and my first plane flight!

I am like sooo happy that it is November already, because now it will only be seven and a half week until my holidays and christmas (if I counted right).

I think Thanskgiving is always either the last thursday of NOV. or the 3rd thursday of November. sometimes it's like on the 28th then sometimes it's early like the 23rd! In Canada thiers is in October although Im not sure how they come about a date. Maybe a fellow Canadian can help us out!
Hope you have fun on your summer holidays to the states... For a first time flyer you sure will have a long flight! But it will be exciting I'm sure!:whisper:

Canada celebrates Thanksgiving in October. U.S.A. at the end of November. It's like a kickoff to the Christmas season in the U.S.A. because of all the Christmas festivities that go on at that time. I can't wait!

Good morning everyone! It's going to be a good day at work ...(ie)not busy, first of month tends to be kind of stress free. Not much else to report here...has anyone heard from Xmas? My good friend who lives kinda sorta around his parts had his power restored thie night before last at 1 am...I think by tomorrow they are going to have a large portion of the state back up!

Thank you and gabulldawg as well! It is really interesting how you seem to have a official date for Thanksgiving.

Here thankgiving is only celebrated in church and as far as I know (only know it form my own church) we celebrate it sometime around october.

@Gabulldawg: Yes I know it will be a long flight. But at least I will be used to it at the end of it.^^ I will see a lot of things, since I will start at New York and my journey will end in San Francisco.

At my work the end of one month and the beginning of another is always a very stressful time. Today we all want to work but have to wait until our computer tools are up and running. Somehow I doubt it will happen until the end of my work day. Anyway at least my bosses are great they let us surf the internet (without saying anything), as long as we do the best we can in our job and are punctual.
