Today is my favorite sons birthday...hard to believe my "baby" is 24 now!
Got a cake decorating class to teach this afternoon (grade 4 & 5 kids, 7 of them) It is fun, and as much a lesson for me as for them since this is the first class I have ever taught.
Table is slowly filling with baked pieces of gingerbread that will hopefully all fit together to make a house when done.
Hope you all have a fantastic day!!!
I have been gone awhile. I didn't know you were having surgery. Is it day surgery or will you have to be admitted? I pray all goes well!Hi everyone, Happy belated Halloween and Happy November 1st! Sorry I have been MIA again UGH! Been so busy at work and tomorrow is my surgery. I woke up with a cold this morning, not feeling too bad mainly just a stuffy nose.. already spoke to my doctor but now even more nervous about my surgery and getting put to sleep while I have a cold..just looking forward to watching the Christmas music on music choice "sounds of the season" when I get home. 23 days until US Thanksgiving =0). Going to try to catch up on some posts!
How nice to get to go there AGAIN! Have fun!Oh, well, that just means I have to go to Frankenmuth again this week - Bronners, here I come!
I love having all my Christmas decorations up before Thanksgiving. It does make the weekend after Thanksgiving more relaxing to be surrounded by the beauty of Christmas lights! =)Hello Christmas Pals,
Seems like everyone is really into the spirit now that Halloween is over. One of my co-workers told me today she decided to put up her tree before Thanksgiving weekend. That way her long thanksgiving holiday/weekend can be more relaxing and she will enjoy the Christmas season more.
Put it up now! cheesyHi All!
I'm seriously debating if I want to put up my tree this weekend or next. Hmmm......![]()
Congratulations to your hubby! He got elected into eldership at the church.
I don't think you are crazy! Adopt the baby and add to your already awesome fur family! Let us know how it goes.I might be adopting another furchild. My sister called tonight and it seems there is a little Chihuahua who needs a home.....someone in her current home is allergic.......so....I am thinking about it. I know..some of you think I am crazy.....Maybe I am. I have just always felt that my "calling" is to care for the furry kids on this earth the best that I can and give them love and all the things they need...
Happy Birthday to him!!!!Today is my favorite sons birthday...hard to believe my "baby" is 24 now!
I just have a couple of table top trees up but ready to set up the big tree! Can't wait to see your pictures!Good morning everyone! Its PINESDAY! I'm reporting live from the pines. Carl is putting up more Christmas trees. "no Carl...a little more to the left". That's better! Carl is wearing his "Christmas Vacation" shirt today. Its a little small though hehe. Probably too much Christmas chocolate haha. Yesterday we put the tree up, not decorated yet. This weekend Mom, Sister and Niece are coming down to help! Today after work I'm going to put the lights on the house and turn them on. Ill post pictures. Last night I stayed up a little later then I should have. Oh well. Live and learn! Have a great day all and see you at the pines!
Take care, MsChristmas! Recover quickly!Hi everyone, Happy belated Halloween and Happy November 1st! Sorry I have been MIA again UGH! Been so busy at work and tomorrow is my surgery. Do you think 500,000 is possible by the end of the year when this thread closes? Can y'all believe this thread has over 400,000 views? Insane.
So Monday, both my parents and me received a 'save the date' for my cousin's wedding. It'll be next May (Memorial Day weekend) and I've been looking foward to this....until last night. Dad and I had a bit of a talk. He then suggested that I go online and check out airline flights (from Tallahassee to Boston). Roundtrip is just over $400!! Dad then asked if going there to say "hi" for a few minutes would be worth it.
In other words, he basically shot down any chances of me attending my cousin's wedding. Lets just say I've not been a happy Kimmy during the night (woke up crying at one point :-( ).
::sighs::
Carl is ready with fall-themed decor (and the beginings of Christmas as Undrtakr pointed out).
And Carl is promising one free Christmas ornament with the purchase of the 2nd Fired Twinkie. (The first one is always free on Wednesdays, of course.)
Woahh I just read through like 30 pages of this thread. My head is smoking now!
We do not celebrate Halloween here (well not really anyway) and I am happy about it. When do you have Thanksgiving in the States? I thought it was supposed to be at the end of October.
Anyway I just figured out which two christmas markets I will be visiting this year.
I also bought all the big christmas gifts already (maybe I'll buy a couple little ones later), which is good because I need to save a lot of money for my summer holidays next year! I will be traveling to the States for the first time! It will also be my first long journey and my first plane flight!
I am like sooo happy that it is November already, because now it will only be seven and a half week until my holidays and christmas (if I counted right).
Canada celebrates Thanksgiving in October. U.S.A. at the end of November. It's like a kickoff to the Christmas season in the U.S.A. because of all the Christmas festivities that go on at that time.
