Hello!
One day closer to Christmas!

My 3 year old son is sick today (fever) so he is "helping" me baking cakes and muffins :D

As we enter into the darkest months, there shines bright a community here. Community: the gathering of souls who believe in a common cause and celebrate it routinely. However, our little community is hardly routine. We hail from global corners. We have never spoken nor seen each other in person. We are as diverse as the universe, yet we speak a common language. We love a period of the year where the world stops for one moment and celebrates as one. Truly, there are those wonderful stories of the holidays- where strangers reach out and celebrate with charity that all too often is lacking the rest of the year. Look at the dysfunction that exists in our world and the pending darkness. Yet, all year long, here, our community is brilliant in love, and support, and friendship, and charity. In my darkest of days, I remembered: there is something bigger than this despair. It is friendship and love and the commonality of something that we celebrate, even if the rest of the world, only catches on for a few brief weeks. And it is fitting, that ever so close to Christmas, after the 21st of December and the longest night of the year, the world again joins us and goes into the light.
And so it has come to this, four days until the season

Well Said Friend!!!!!

I just heard from Gabulldawg.

His father had a stroke while driving and will recover but he is not sure how well he will do during recovery. His mother was in the car and injured but she should be fine too.

He wanted me to pass this along and said he is thankful for everyone's concern. He will try to post later today and update all of you on the situation. He said he will also try to respond to everyone's messages as soon as he is able to.

Thanks for passing this along CAH. I'll continue to keep all of them in my prayers.

Thank you so much for passing that on CAH. Still hoping for the best for GA and his family. Here's hoping that can both make a quick and early Christmas miracle recovery.

Marvelous, Binger, marvelous! I could not help but smile with each word I read in your special post. Truly breathtaking.

Hi every one, today is my boyfriends birthday, and tomorrow is my exam, so i'm glad and stressed at the same time

Happy Birthday to Boyfriend and Good Luck on your Exam!!!!!!!!!

Good rainy morning! What a yucky looking day outside! Glad to be inside with a hot cup of joe! Looking forward to my trip to the Pines later today!!!

Binger - LOVELY post! Well said!

I'm thinking about ordering a Keurig coffee maker today. Do any of you have a Keurig? I'm debating between the Elite & the Platinum...leaning towards the platinum! I will probably keep it at work - then I won't have to run to the break room to warm my coffee several times a day!!! (can not drink luke warm coffee...)

Make it a great day my friends!!

Good Morning Everyone!!!!!! It is going to be another rainy day here in central Indy. I need to run to the grocery store and I might stop and get my haircut while I'm out. I also need to find my aunt a birthday gift. She hasn't given us any ideas so it's been kind of hard this year. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We had to do a grocery run last night and low and behold!!
The eggnog has hit the shelves!!
Another sign that we are really closing in on the season!!

Of course, we had to pick one up and toast our first one of the 2011 season last night.

Cheers!!

ML

I have still yet to see egg nog at my local grocery store. However, I am nearly 100 percent positive that I will see some upon my next visit. They are usually on top of stuff like that. Good find and an even better occassion to toast to!

Gabulldawg. We all miss and love you! Prayers are bursting out of the message board to you. Glad we got an update too. God is watching out for you!

Well my van needs new break pads and drums (I think that's what its called). That will get fixed on Sunday. We have a big music box with bells called MR Christmas. It shows people skating on the inside and plays a million Christmas tunes. William always wants it on. He likes to spot the dog that rotates around inside too. He got really excited when he saw the Christmas lights on the house too! I wish I could put up more lights but I can't reach the top of my house. Where is Clarke Grizwold when you need him! Speaking of Clarke. I think I will watch Christmas Vacation tonight. Oh how I love that movie. Cant wait to bring William to see Santa! Should be interesting on how he will react. Well back to work I go. Hope everyone has a good day.
PS - Carl is handing out free candy canes today at the pines!!! *crunch crunch!*

Good Mid-Week Morning, Everybody Everywhere!

Day 2 of our special post series has opened with another winner from our very own BINGER!
Will the literary masterpieces never cease?
(We certainly hope not!)

Tick, tick, tick.
Time slips away toward the start of Christmas Season 2011:
Days to the Season: 4 (Barely over HALF a week away!)
Days To Thanksgiving Day: 15 (Two weeks from tomorrow!)
Days to Christmas Day: 46 (A month and a half from tomorrow!)
We are so closing in, Guys!

The thermometer stands just under 50 here in the capital city at this hour.
It is calm, sunny, rainless and headed for 70 by this afternoon.
Great!

What else is Great?
Well, there is the fact that it's 'Pines Day once again -- the last open house before the Season begins!
Carl has announced the first TWO fired twinkies are free today, along with the first 2 glasses of Sweet Southern Iced Tea or the first 2 cups of one of his coffee blends.
(Oh, Bing gets all they want to drink today in honor of their special post that really touched Carl!)

Have a Wonderful Wednesday / Happy Hump Day, Friends!
See you at the S.P.

:( that is awful news! I am praying for both his family to be fine, and for him to get the power for faith! As some one else said: let's hope for a christmas-miracle-recovery! Gabulldawg, i wish you lots of strength and wisdom!!

Well it looks like I'll have to drink Tea today. I'm not sure Carl has enough coffee on hand if Binger can drink whatever they want for free.

Good morning, everyone!

Happy Wednesday! Happy hump day! Happy mid-week! Happy final 'Pines Day before we enter the Christmas Season!! Boy, that just sounds too good, doesn't it?!

Once again, it looks like anything but Christmas outside. Those beautifully tinged orange/yellow leaves are hanging onto the trees and refusing to fall. As I said yesterday, the weather is certainly not helping. 7c (45F) with brighty, sunny skies. Temperatures are to reach 16c (61F). I do not recall such warm temperatures on November 9th.

Kim and I were discussing Christmas decorations yesterday evening - mainly the Christmas tree and musical lights. I managed to convince her to allow me to decorate on November 13th! Yes, I will be able to ring in the Christmas Season by listening to music and making the Season come alive in my apartment. Now, I just have to think of how I would like to decorate. There are a few options! Thankfully, it is a Sunday and football will be on, so I can have some trial and error.

Not much going on today. I have some work to do and then I will be going to the gym afterwards. I went to the gym on Monday, but missed my usual Tuesday routine last night. Looks like I will be there on Wednesday, Thursday and then Saturday this week. It should be fun!

Carl seems to be mighty generous with two free fired twinkies and Sweet Southern Iced Teas. I need to run and make sure that I get a seat! Have a great Wednesday, everyone!!

And I dont know what to eat today..
I have been in the kitchen all day and haven't eaven been
thinking about dinner.. hehe..

Looking forward to pick up my DH at the airport in a few hours.
Haven't seen him since Sunday.
So much to do this weeks, and six kids in the house.
Three Birthday Parties this week - so Im a bit exhausted.

But I wont complain.. I love Birthdays! Hehe..

Well, I have to go and find some delicious dinner!

[I find it a bit hard to just jump into this tread, but are giving it a try:-D]

ok, I am confused, if the stitches are coming out of your eye tomorrow, why is your shoulder hurting?

Ok, I know this might sound bad, but after I read this I laughed so hard, I had a flash of a woman with stitches in her eye, now that is not funny at all I know, but the way it reads, Oh I feel a little bad... I am glad Sugar cleared it up...

This is weird. I forgot my password and so I haven't been able to log in here for like over a year; managed to get it back through some trial and error with old email accounts. Not sure if anyone remembers me as I wasn't very active, but it is good to be back nonetheless.

I did the same thing, never did get my old log in I created a new one... Welcome back it is great to see you again.

Isn't it great... We waited so long for it and now it is all around us another home has their Christmas lights up and I was listening to Let It Snow (Michael B's older CD) and I was like YAY!!!!!!

Hello!
One day closer to Christmas!

My 3 year old son is sick today (fever) so he is "helping" me baking cakes and muffins

Sorry about your little one being under the weather, but isn't that the best kind of "help"!!!! Enjoy, it really does go by all too fast....

Ok, I have to admit here at work we have a Keurig, I HATE it... the worst coffee ever... I brought in my like 30 year old Mr. Coffee pot... But, that being said I know a ton of people who love it, I just think it is weak it is missing flavor but that's me!!!

Well it looks like I'll have to drink Tea today. I'm not sure Carl has enough coffee on hand if Binger can drink whatever they want for free.

HA, HA, HA - LOL!!!!!!
