Wow! It is really windy out all of a sudden. Earlier today I was outside and didn't need a coat and now I need more than a light jacket. The forecast for tomorrow is snow showers - finally! - so I made a big pot of cheezy potato soup. The kitchen smells good!
mmm that sounds good meceka, mmm, mmm, good!
Hubby, my MIL, and I are sitting here watching the CMA's. I should be taking a nap, but I love the CMA's and can't seem to fall asleep. Maybe I will attempt it here again in 15 or 20 minutes. DH isn't really feeling any better. He ate some soup for dinner and he said that was a huge mistake. I hope he feels better soon - he has that test in the am for his fire instructor!
poor thing i hate he's so sick & having to take that test. i'm praying right now!
Hope everyone is having a great evening! I am headed to work at 11. Talk to you all tomorrow! :-D

Good morning, MMC!

I hope this finds everyone well!!!!

The wind has died down quite a bit, but it is a chilly one out this morning. I am working from home today - a mountain of paperwork for the store, still a tote or two of Christmas items to price and then data processing this afternoon. Tonight at one of the libraries in the area is a meet and greet with local authors. I am hoping to get everything done so I can go and network. Free coffee, there, too cheesy

Have a MERRY day!!!!!!

Good morning everyone!
WOW what a windy night at the Pines! Not much new with us. William wanted to watch "Year without a Santa Claus" again. Love the music in that. Too bad he isn't old enough to enjoy the "Santa Clause" movies. He just likes animation. Oh...whats that??? I can see Friday from here! YAY! I saw a few more houses with Christmas lights on. They must have caught my Christmas fever! William was (screaming) singing Jingle Bells yesterday. A mumbled up version that was funny. Well back to work I go! Hope everyone has a great day!

Hello everybody!

The cake? Well.. Disco cake I dont know. But it looks good! :D
(and I have taken som pictures of it..hehe)

Well, I have to run! Lots of love to you all!
You really can TALK! I love it!

Here you go, Undrtakr! You said you love the music in the Year Without a Santa Claus? This guy is a meany but I get a kick out of the song!

What amazes me is we have some guys between the ages of 16-20 at my job and they were very clueless about this song and the show. What? They never seen this show?!?!? It's a classic!

Re-Gifting a new meaning a new beginning...

Special Post 3...

I want you all to re-gift this year. Yes, I want you to take this gift you were given, wrap it up in the prettiest ribbons, paper and bows, and then re-gift it… Who are you giving this gift too, what is this gift you are re-gifting? Your childhood… Once you have wrapped it up beautifully, I then want you to enjoy the anticipation of opening it up… Rip off those bows and ribbons; tear that paper off in shear excitement… Then embrace that childhood, for all too often in the hustle and bustle of a more, more, more world, I find we can lose sight of what sheer joy was / is. Here is your opportunity to enjoy Christmas once again, not through the eyes of your children, but though your child-like heart and eyes. I feel Christmas is a time when the world is renewed in the joy & hope of the season, that peace really can be achieved if we strive for it. The best of everyone comes forth, the Angels are living among us, and we all wish we could give more then we receive. You see I think Christmas gives everyone the opportunity to be a child. This Christmas I invite you all, once again or maybe for you for the first time experience Christmas with the heart of a child.
Christmas, not New Years Day, is a time when we can start anew, fresh, begin again, be reborn, however you may want to look at it. You see it really is the perfect time, for this is when we are all feeling our best and most giving, we may even forgive those who have trespassed against us. So this Christmas, do not live Christmas though your Children, Grand Children, Nieces, or Nephews, (for some of us do not have any in our lives) live it as though you were a child, leave all your mistakes, regret, hurtful words (either said to you or maybe by you), and insecurities behind you, this Christmas start with a clean slate, see ourselves as the child we once were, or maybe wish we could have been; remember innocence, trust, sharing, and most of all kindness. The gift, so many meanings pour forth, how many stories and legends come from this, his gift was so precious, so now I want you to give it back to yourself, his gift, his spirit, start your life as you always wanted or maybe you are happy as it is, then cradle it, rejoice in it. Remember it is a gift, given to each and every one of us. Know that forever more you are a very special person who is an adored child on Earth, take this new you or rejuvenated you into the future, show this to all you meet.
I received a card with this saying on it… May Peace be your priority, Hope your foundation, Joy your expression, and Love your gift!!!

To all my friends on MMC, I wish this all for you... Peace, hope, joy, and most of all Love...

Let's all have a most wonderful, happy Christmas!!!

Good Morning all! Well, two weeks from today I will be consuming a month's worth of calories! Sitting here waiting for the repairman to fix our oven which could not have broke down at a worse time. Hopefully it can be fixed without costing us too much! The day after Thanksgiving they will be lighting up the town! There will be a parade and all. I'm getting more and more excited! Have a great day everyone! :celebrate:

No news from the weather front here, it is still very foggy but the temperatures are still very mild.

On tuesday I had a meeting in my church, because I am part of the sunschool teachers and we are planning on a christmas theater for the kids on the fourth advent. Which means I have to learn text because I will play the Maria! It is so exciting but I will be soooooo nervious!

Hi Meceka.. I hope you get there tonight that sounds soooo cool!!! Have a cup for me?!?!?! Tee Hee!!!!

@Lauriebear: That was such a great post! You are sooooo good with words! Well I only started to decorate my room. I still live at home and the rest of the decoration is my mothers job. She is very good at it, but won't start before the first advent.

My co worker just put a star with lighting bulbs up on our window!

We were out shopping for a few things, so I stopped by Michael's. They were having a sale on pre-lighted trees and decorations, but none of them were lit ... so I flipped on all the power strips. Got a little four-footer for the TV room. Such cheery cashiers. I asked how long the sale would be going on for the pre-lit trees. "Uh ... until Saturday. But they'll probably keep selling 'em for that price 'cause they wanta get rid of 'em."

Got a couple more gifts, some new gloves, and some badly neded socks.
sounds fun! I am always fipping on the lights and pressing the buttons when I go places
