This has always been one of my favorite poems. Thanks for sharing.

Just got the kids bathed. We're sitting watching a college basketball game (I don't really like basketball, but hubby does). It's North Carolina vs. Michigan State. It's called the Carrier Classic - they're playing on an aircraft carrier in part of Veterans Day. It's kind of neat to watch. EA wanted popcorn again for a snack tonight. It's becoming one of her favorites. I'n just doing some more Christmas shopping online - I'm over half way done! :???:

well guys we're home now. hubby & i did go on our date. SHELLIE girl convinced me!! thanks sweety.
we went to different shops & stuff, got some dinner, & i finally got the michael buble' Christmas cd. listened to it coming home & he sounds abso DIVINE. a voice like velvet!
the only thing i wanted to do that we didn't was to browse around for Christmas decor for my tree, but i may save that for tomorrow.
my mama is still in a cast & has been stuck inside since it happened so i told her tomorrow we are gonna go for a ride. can't get out of the car but a change will do her good. fresh air & all. maybe after that daughter & i can go look for some thing for the tree. i don't know, we'll see!!

Hey all.....

Great post today CAH! I really liked it....

Just think...in 24 hours, East Coast has been in the season an hour...and this time tomorrow night...Central will be minutes away....all year longed we have patiently waited for this post....now we are down to hours.....just hours......

Any Vets on the board? My great uncle was shot down in the Pacific in WWII and my Granddaddy was a navigator on a bomber....I never knew my great uncle, but I always find that I think of him a lot on Vets day. Daddy J always told us stories about him. I have his purple heart hanging in my house...God Bless those who sacrificed so I didn't have to.

Had a great night and can't wait for tomorrow....see y'all then!

I bought the CD after I saw Jeff Westover post about it. I love it!!! And that's saying something because I had never listened to his music before. :???:

there see you can do it.. now when you gonna do it again?? dont leave it to long....enjoy your time with your mum today as you said a while out of the house will help. even a drive take your new cd with you lol

Hoera! The most wonderful time of the year is starting :D

And today Saint Nicholas and his Petes are arriving in Holland :) happy children everywhere, and oh how wonderful it is, i feel so cheerful and merry!

God Bless your great uncle and granddaddy!

My grandfather fought in WWII but he was a German and was onboard the Graf Spee. He met Hilter and shook his hand *shudders*. He was not happy with that man or the war and jumped ship to come to America to marry my grandma. He became an American citizen a few years after the war was over. I never had the pleasure to meet him, he died of cancer when my dad was 16 years old. I have relatives in Germany but don't know any of them and don't have enough info on how to find them. :-(
