Good morning! I have not been outside yet this morning but the computer says it's 54F outside, going to get all the way up toe a jaw dropping 84F today.THen maybe possibly a passing shower tonight. Anyhow I hope today goes as smoothly and fast as yesterday did,I heard from my mom last night and my dad got out of ICU and is in a regular room. I hope he gets into the Rehab floor before thanksigiving, but either way I just hope he makes as much of a recovery so that he can have some independence. Thanks everyone for the prayers! I hope everyone has a good morning!
That's great, Neal! I hope he continues to improve this quickly!

Yes, I have one of those!
My cats are older now and ignore the tree. They do love to lay under it but they don't mess with it.

When they were younger it was a hoot to watch them play with the tree. I kept the breakables off because there was no use fighting them. I would wake up in the morning to find the ornaments scattered and one of my cats would actually be sleeping inside the top branches of the tree!!!!

It was a battle to keep my tree straight but wouldn't trade my cats for anything! I actually found it funny to watch them go at it!

******* CHRISTMAS SEASON DAY 3 *******

Good Morning, Advancing Season Friends.

Yes, we are moving right along through Christmas Season 2011.
Day three already!

And yet the count goes on:
Days To Thanksgiving Day: 9 (SINGLE DIGITS!!)
Days to Christmas Day: 40 (Down into the THIRTIES tomorrow!)

Downright balmy here this morning where it is already 67 degrees under the stillest of skies.
Possible rain tonight through Thursday.
(We hit a high of 76 yesterday!)

Okie Dokie!
You have a Terrific Tuesday, my fellow Season Appreciators!
Don't forget to listen to at least one Christmas song today.
(Or better yet, one album!)

Good Morning MMC!

working on the gingerbread house. Set the pillars, and put down the "sand".(ground up gingerbread pieces) Once that is all dry I can start with some of the decorations that go between the pillars before I can set the house base on top of them. (to small a space to do it after to needs to be done first.

Off to Goderich with my client this afternoon, I have not been there since the tornado destroyed a good part of down town this past summer.

Good Tuesday morning, my Christmas friends!

Last night, my sister-in-law, my son and I plugged in & tested all of the Christmas lights that will go on the light poles this weekend. We replaced all of the blown-out bulbs, and now Bellville is ready for Christmas! Our contractor will come with his bucket truck Saturday to hand the lights and the banners. I can't wait!

I have to run to a neighboring town at lunch to sell the pecans that we've gathered so far. I think we've picked up about 150 pounds. At about $2.25 per pound, that not too shabby! I have a guy coming to shake the trees this weekend. That'll bring down many more pecans. Gotta git it while the gittin's good!

I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy

My Keurig is supposed to be delivered tomorrow!

Nice! Keurig is a great machine! I have a Krups, but it is almost 5 years old and I'm probably going to have to invest in a new one soon, been looking at Keurig, Cuisinart, but I will probably get another Krups since they seem very durable.

Hi everyone

Hope you are all doing well... I haven't posted really too much today... DON'T laugh I have a HORRIBLE case of poison ivy... Can you believe it - I tell you it is a pain!!! I made a DR appt so hopefully it get better soon. But, it is kind of a funny story, I saw it and touched it but didn't know it was poison ivy until I started getting these red bumps.

So, I am laughing at myself and my pink lotion all over my arms and legs I look like quite a sight!!!!

Oh No! Poison Ivy is nothing to laugh at, I got into it earlier this year when I was clearing out under my back porch did not realize what I was into until it was too late. As someone else suggested dish detergent can help, but if it is a really bad case best to go to the Doctor.

I heard from my mom last night and my dad got out of ICU and is in a regular room. I hope he gets into the Rehab floor before thanksigiving, but either way I just hope he makes as much of a recovery so that he can have some independence. Thanks everyone for the prayers! I hope everyone has a good morning!

That is good news! Prayers for his continued improvement and recovery!

I have a Cuisinart at home, and I love it! The grinder works like a charm!

Everyone around here is picking up pecans too...I even see people pull over on public land on the side of the roads picking up pecans..Heck I may even do it myself if it's bringing in that kind of money!!! any extra cash is good this time of year!:-P

Good Morning everyone! Hope everyone is in good spirits today!
I watched "The Christmas Card" on Hallmark last night, seen it before but was worth watching again.

I am at home today waiting for a electrician to come find out what is wrong with the wiring in my house, weird problem started over the weekend. Every time the fridge, furnace or washing machine turn on, the lights flicker and when I was doing laundry on Sunday, I got a mild shock when I went to turn on the dryer.... My house is an older one, it is over 100 years old, love the charm of the house but stuff like this seems to happen a lot lol.

Anyway hope everyone has a great day today! :tree:

Wow,A mild shock is not a good thing when you turn on any appliance! I would love to live in an old house, they seem to be better insulated than the houses they just put up in 5 days now! Hope they can find the problem though!

Hi every one!
Remember that exam i had to do? I got an 8,8 (out of 10 ) :D so i'm very very glad, and proud. In my bachelors degree (which i graduated this summer) i always worked really hard as well, but i never got any grades this good, because it was so hard! (very frustrating of course) i am hoping to do my masters degree a little bit better, since i believe it is a bit fairer, so i work equally hard but get better grades :) that feels amazing!

Tuesday ... the week is just crawling along. Mr. got socked with OT again last night. They told him something was coming in at 6 p.m., and it didn't hit his desk until 10:30 p.m. He got to bed around one in the morning. And it's back at his desk at 9 a.m. this morning. I did some more work on a podcast segment, and watched another Christmas documentary.

CM3, did you get my PM?

Kimothy, I hope your medical tests today come back with the right answers!

gabulldawg, I'm glad to hear your Dad is improving, and I hope you get some cold weather and snow sometime soon!

kerstig, congratulations on the exam results!

Everyone Else, I'm thinking of you today and every day!

For those of you with young kitties know this problem all too well!

This makes me think of a Simon's Cat cartoon.

They can be, I had to have it reinsulated last winter, had new windows put on this summer , so hopefully my heating costs will be a little less this winter. I also had to have the basement/foundation reinforced and waterproofed over the summer. Older house can be a money pit sometimes though too lol.

After work today I go with brandi to Dr to have the last sonogram until the due date which is just 6 weeks away. the dr says right now he weighs about 4pounds which is big for that early...my mom always laughed about me because I was due on Jan7th 1975 but I was born december 2nd 1974 5 weeks early and I still weighed 7 pounds,I would have been like 10 or 11 pounds if I was on time. Anyway I am looking forward to see what he looks like now.

Most of the houses in my town, including ours, are "historic". Like you say, that just means there's something all the time. Good luck with the wiring problem. It sounds like a grounding problem.

Good Morning once again Christmas friends. You guys are posting away. I cant keep up! Cant believe we are offically into the "Season". I have asked nicely that Hubby will have my one tree up and shaped by tomorrow night. I am off of work Thursday and Friday this week and next week (for Thanksgiving) and I hope to decorate the tree with the boys this Thursday and Friday. I cannot believe how close we are until Thanksgiving..only a little over a week away. I hope everyone is well.
