Good afternoon all just finished up lunch... I made THE BEST BARS last night Paul Dean's pumpkin bars with cream cheese frosting!!! HOLY TOMATOES!!! I was awesome!!!

What a game last night, I really think nothing will stop Packers... But, I can hope the G--MEN will!!!

I have to catch up over the last two days, but I am thinking about you all. I will catch up and hopefully see all good news!!!

I was due on Jan7th 1975 but I was born december 2nd 1974 5 weeks early and I still weighed 7 pounds,I would have been like 10 or 11 pounds if I was on time. Anyway I am looking forward to see what he looks like now.

That is my exact birthdate Jan. 7, 1975, and I was 3 weeks early.

I always loved seeing the sonograms for my boys, be sure to enjoy this time also, the little one will be here before you know it and you will have a new life and routine to get used to, I wouldn't have traded the learning the "new life" for anything. It is very tough, but very rewarding.

Good morning! Well, the season is well underway here, even though no decorations are up--my husband's fruitcake arrived by mail today. He really, really loves fruitcake!

Good afternoon,

Just back from my overly long trip to the Dr. office, all I had to do was drop off paperwork from my job, the traffic was "terrific" it took me over 2 hours round trip, I have done it in just over an hour most trips since it is not even 20 miles away. Then the receptionist I handed my paperwork to was just, well, lets just say "her heart was 2 sizes too small." She gave me so much attitude about it, I had to explain it to her yet, it didn't pertain to her.

On the way home I stopped off at the place where I can trade my old DVD's I don't want any more for new to me DVD's, I found the Christmas movie "It Happened on 5th Avenue" and picked it up, I have never seen it but I thought it would be worth getting.

Just have to eat lunch, laundry, and get more decorating done before the boys get home.

Enjoy the day!

I'm feeling very Christmas-y today. I saw yesterday that my Cookbook is on it's way, my Ornaments arrived from my exchange partner yesterday (Thanks, Solice!), and today I hurried out during lunch and bought the stamps for my Christmas cards. Now they can be on their merry way to all parts of the globe! Most of my Christmas decorations are up at home; I only need to put my big red bells in the windows. Wow, I might actually get to relax for a while tonight, and have a cup of tea while I stamp the envelopes for the cards.

I really am getting into it now,now that I have been to the classes, read book upon book, the funny thing is,I imagine fatherhood is like most any job,you learn as you go!! no amount of reading and classes can be better than the on the job training.

Good afternoon everyone...I just got dumped a ton of work for the last hour and a half before 3,so I best get busy. I have gym then Dr appt for baby..so have a good afternoon,I will check back in tonight1

I forgot to mention---My Christmas cactus apparently knows exactly when the season begins. I've been keeping an eye on it, and the first buds started to form on the 13th. There are three or four so far just starting to develop. It may be blooming by Thanksgiving, and I'm hoping it'll keep blooming well into December. I love that plant---it's the one and only house plant that has not died under my care. Not only is it still living, it's growing and thriving!

I haven't gotten a shipping notice for my cookbooks yet. [pout]

That was really funny! Thanks for sharing. =)

I love Simon's Cat! So funny, and the animation and audio are just perfect.

I must admit that I often pop in to read all of your posts (and they always manage to put a smile on my face) but do not often post myself...well here goes nothing

Welcome to the Countdown! It took me a couple years to jump in with both feet. Looking forward to seeing more of you.

Kimothy I hope your medical tests come back awesome today!!!

Gabulldawg So happy to hear good news on your Dad - that is so nice. I hope your Mom is holding up too and her injuries are getting better. What exciting news about the Baby, my GF said that you should automaticly add a pound to what they say (she's had 4) and everytime her last sano came up they would tell her a weight and the baby was 1 to 2 lbs more!!!! What an exciting time for you and Brandi, wishing you all the very best. ****sigh**** What a great time this is and now we have something to look forward to for right after Christmas LITTLE DAWG!!!!!

Kerstig WOW awesome for you - WAY TO GO!!!

Good late morning, Christmas family. I am still under the weather, but I know I am getting better. I have after-school intervention this afternoon, and then tomorrow, Thursday, and Friday we have minimum days so we can have parent-teacher conferences for the first trimester report cards. Then we will be off for one week for Thanksgiving. I am not going to be cooking Thanksgiving this year due to the shoulder surgery (try saying that five times fast). Hubby and I are going to the Elks Lodge on Thanksgiving Day for lunch which will be turkey and LOTS of trimmings. Every year, a group of citizens cook dinner for those with no families, no homes, those who want to join friends in a congenial setting, and just about anyone who wants to join the festivities. This will be our first time joining in, so it will be a new experience. We don't have anyone who is really homeless, just those who live in alternative settings. The cost of the meal is donations only, so those of us who can afford it can make a generous donation to help defray the costs for those who really cannot afford it. I am really excited about it since it will be really different for us. Is anyone else doing anything differently this year?

I sold 110# of pecans at lunch & got $2.10 per pound. You better get started picking up pecans, Dawg. The price is dropping!

I'm afraid you can't get it in UK supermarkets!! Sucks, doesn't it. You CAN, however, buy it off Amazon, believe it or not

Alternatively, there are heaps of recipes on here for eggnog and, if you are around for our World's Largest Christmas Party on December 11th, there will be a discussion all about eggnog with hopefully a live demonstration!!!!!

I have a question for all of the UK based posters...Which supermarket can I buy Eggnog from? As an Eggnog virgin I have sworn that this will be the year I try it for the first time – and any suggestions as to where I can buy some would be much appreciated

OHHH what a lovely time you will have!!!! :yahoo:

UGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Screw it! LabCorp will be done Thursday at 12:15. I just made the appointment. Unless by some miracle A) I can get it done while the MRI is being performed (doubt it) B) I am able to awake and get to LabCorp ASAP tomorrow morning (also doubt it).

::sighs:: :-(

Merry Tuesday everyone!
How is everyone doing? Tonight its a Daddy and William night. My Wife has a workshop at the day care. Should be fun! We are going to order a pizza! Woo-hoo! I still cant believe how close Christmas is. We were just withering away in the summer heat and BOOM. Well. Not much new. Friend was rushed to the hospital. I told him he had the same symptoms as cellulitus. I was right. Docs confirmed it. But its treatable. My Dad has it as well. But I better get back to work hehe. Have a great day all!

That is so cool about your Christmas Cactus, funny but for me all my other plants thrive, but my cactus, saddly this past August I had to lay him to rest, yes he was a he as he never gave me a flower... ***tapping my head*** do you think it was a her and mad at me for calling her Herman???

SW, glad to hear from you and even though you are not 100% at least you are on your way!!!

What a lovely idea for Thanksgiving, it gets me all worked up to know you are going to be helping put and you will be able to relax as well. I hope you and your hubby have an awesome time and truly enjoy the day.

I never heard of this movie I will have to google it...

In our newspaper there was an insert this week from AARP. An article related to home remedies and suggested that dishwashing soap is good for poison ivy and poison oak. It has something to do with removing oils from the skin in the same way it removes oil and grease from dishes.

Thank you for the tip SW!!!

I had a great first day at my job. Very excited for the rest of the week. Right now, My account at work has not yet been setup, as soon as it is, I'll be sure to pay my regular morning visits.
