Good morning Christmas family

Another start to the work week for me but at least it is only four days. Don't know why but been feeling really down the past couple of days. I guess I am just like Charlie Brown. I love Christmas, I am so happy it is coming and that I get to put up the tree this week but something is missing. I don't know what it is....

thank you for sharing that, I have had the same problem. I know the source of mine, lack of work and income and wondering how I will afford to get the things I would like to get for Christmas. Thankfully I have been collecting all year long so already have a good chuck of the gifts. I want to do baking for the extended family. Here's hoping I win the gingerbread contest with a first prize of $200!

Well, I'm all packed. Taxi is coming at around 5 and I just need to take out ALL the garbage (emptied out the fridge on food that could go bad), brush my teeth and put on my make up, unplug everything.....that's it!


I'm bringing my list of passwords with me so HOPEFULLY I'll be able to sign on to MMC this week.

Good morning! Just waking up and getting going. It's cloudy outside and my leaves are still changing! I'm leaving out monday for a week for thanksgiving,Brandi is leaving then too to go to Boston to her folks,then we will both be back next sunday. I spoke with my mom and dad,I actually understood alot of what he was saying yestersay they told him that his estimated disharge date was decemeber 3rd which is great,I was terrified he would be in there at Christmas! He kind of mumbles when he talks but he is doing alot better than he was 2 weeks ago! Have a great day everyone!

That's great news, Dawg! I hope he continues to have forward progress and he's able to get home by Christmas. What an awesome gift that would be to you and your mom!

BTW---just talked with mom and it was 21F there this morning! Looks like I will have a cold thanksgiving after all! here it's still beautiful with the leaves still changing.. its going to be warm today and 83F tomorrow and monday.

I'm just enjoying my coffee before we head down to Monterey. The sister who's visiting us will be running a half marathon there tomorrow with her two daughters. I will be doing no such thing. ;-) But we are going to spend the day with them in Monterey today. Then home and getting ready for Thanksgiving. I thought I'd have to work Thursday, but it turns out that my company would rather not pay me double time for two days, so they gave me my choice of which day to take off, and since they have full coverage on Thanksgiving and just me on the Friday after, I chose Thanksgiving. So that's an unexpected good. It'll just be a quiet dinner at home, since William's family seems to be fighting with each other right now. Three of his sisters decided to have their own dinner and the rest of the family isn't invited. Which is fine--I don't think I could handle a big Thanksgiving celebration this year. I'm doing okay, but the slightest thing gets me crying.QUOTE]

Hi all! I'm just checking in for the day. I'm almost caught up on the countdown. I'm at the end of yesterdays posts, but I've got to go take a nap now because I work again tonight. At this time of the year, it's so hard to keep up with the countdown, which you all know. I do love it though!

Hey Coach! Exciting game today! Did you get to see it? I was at work but the last 15 minutes of that game not a soul walked into our store and we were able to sit and watch it. Then back to work as usual. Go Cowboys! =)

Hi All! Today has been great!

My uncle stopped by and blabbed a secret for Thanksgiving--HA!

Then I went to church with my parents (a parish I've been attending since I was five years old) and afterwards, went to one of my favoritest restaurants, Sweet Tomatoes (Souplantation is another name for it). After a yummy buffett meal, my folks and I went grocery shopping.

Since I never got a chance to recover from yesterday or this morning, I then took a much needed two hour nap.

Dinner was leftover pizza from yesterday (YUM!) and my first sister (turning 28 in a few hours) is now visiting and we're all just chatting away.


Tomorrow is the YMCA, a dentist appointment, visiting former co-workers and then celebrating my sister's birthday. Whew! :hello:

Just got back from a surprise 11th birthday party for our daughter. She and Nancy have been in Daytona Beach, FL this weekend at Dance Camp. I'm glad they're home (finally!) on her birthday.

It's also our anniversary. Seventeen looonnnnggg...I mean SHORT...years! No time for us, though. They're studying for another crazy Monday test. Oh, well.

Well it looks like QVC is pretty much done with the christmas decorating shows. There is only 1 scheduled for this week and it is on at 4am next saturday morning.

The problem wasn't that we couldn't do something just the two of us...to me, the problem was that they changed plans and didn't tell us. If they couldn't tell us when plans actually DID change, what would've stopped them from waiting until Wednesday and then saying, "Oh whoops, we're not doing Thanksgiving here after all, we're going out and we didn't reserve seats for you!!!" Now granted that didn't happen, but they still waited A WEEK to tell us anything at all. It also then just goes back to the fact that I don't really have a free day Thanksgiving because Kohl's HAS TO FREAKIN OPEN AT MIDNIGHT and we can't really do what we want. If you can't tell, I still have a lot of aggravation about our Black Friday hours, lol.

I am hoping my friend will be understanding. I haven't spoken to her or checked her facebook since I told her I wasn't coming on Thursday, so hopefully everything is okay.

As for the dress, my mom very well knows that even if she DOESN'T like it, I will still get it, haha. It would make it easier if she would, but I'm not holding my breath. It is very hard to please her and she likes what she likes, no real wiggle room. But a girl can hope, right?

Just thought I would share with all of you - the programming started on ABC Family today was well! :

We caught part of a movie on ABC Family today, in between football games! I can't remember the title, but it was the second movie in a series and had Jenny McCarthy in it. The guys made fun (ugh) but my girl friend and I loved it! <3

That is great that you subscribed...I always have to look when I'm in a store but I refrain from buying them (I bought a few back in August when we got engaged but that's it!). I figured I would be too tempted to look at dresses once I got one, and that's for the better (out of sight, out of mind!). Plus I look at websites every day rather than buy to try and save money.
