Good Monday morning, my Christmas friends!

It's a short week for me...here at my day-job, anyway. We're closed Thursday & Friday, but I'll be working at the store Wednesday evening, helping Bernie smoke all the hams & turkeys on order. Then Saturday is my regular day to run the store.

The kids are out of school after lunch tomorrow and they don't go back till Tuesday of next week. I think I might take off work Monday so I can spend some extra time with them. Who knows; maybe we'll go to the mall!

Well anyway, no Thanksgiving for me this week, but the first advent sunday will be soon.

we had our Thanksgiving back in October.
I am looking forward to watching the Macy's parade, always good!

Hey Holiday, the brand is TrekStor. Its not a fancy E-reader like the kindle or the nook. But I can't buy a kindle or nook were I live. I think mine will work just as fine.

We were actually looking at cornish game hens when we were at the store earlier tonight.

Not that I follow NASCAR closely, but who won? And where did Matt Kenseth end up points-wise? He's the only one I even remotely followed, as an old friend LOVED him!

You could also do a turkey breast if you still want turkey or You can always join my family if you want to drive 500 miles.


Tony Stewart won the championship and Kenseth ended up 4th in points.

Started out Christmas decorating yesterday for a few hours. Can't beleive I got my girls to help some but they did. I rewarded them by putting on the Garfield Thanksgiving & Christmas and Peanuts Thanksgiving & Christmas specials (yes, we have them all on DVD).

Heading out to the day care in a few hours for my 2 year old's thanksgiving party. Can't wait to see her in a little presentation they made for the parents.

All I see this week is a couple of shows about the Keurig. I'm sure the food shows will be back in full force soon though. They have to get everyone ready for those Christmas parties and Christmas dinners.

Good Morning MMC!!!!!!! It is a rainy day here in central Indy. I can't let that get me down though. There is to much to do. I have to run to the grocery store and then it will be back home to start prepping things for thanksgiving. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bought myself a Ebook reader last saturday! Finally I can buy as many books I want, without worrying were to put them!

Great idea. I think purchasing an ebook reader would definitely encourage me to read more often. Not having to find storage is a much welcomed bonus!

Good morning, everyone!

I have returned from a weekend long hiatus. As mentioned on Friday, Kim and I visited her family in Cornwall for the weekend. It was her nephews' 5th birthday celebration. They had a fantastic time! The highlight, for me, was attending the Cornwall Santa Claus Parade with Kim's brother-in-law and newphews (there are three of them). The parade was only about 50 minutes but it was enjoyable. Of course, the excitement came to a culmination with Santa Claus' float at the very end. Dressed in his patent red suit, St. Nicholas stood atop the float and waved to all of the onlookers. Hard to believe that he will be visiting all the kids in only 34 more days!


We are currently sitting at a seasonably chilly -5c in Ottawa. Highs of -1c today, too! Unfortunately, the weather will not be that cooperative throughout the week. We are forecasted to reach 10c this weekend. 10c on the final weekend of November is much too warm. I blame the southern wind! Anyway, I enjoyed walking in the chilly weather of this morning and look forward to it for the rest of the Season.

I hope everyone else had a wonderful weekend. I know that we're all back at work today, but, again, this new work week brings us one week closer to Christmas! Of course, those of you in the U.S. also get to celebrate your final holiday before Christmas, too. How exciting!! I am sure that all your Thanksgiving will be joyful and delicious!

Welcome back Brent. Sounds like you had a great weekend! :grin:

I just sat down to figure out how many people will be coming for Thanksgiving. If everyone who is supposed to come makes it & if all of their boyfriends/girlfriends come along, we will have 44 people including my hubby & I. We will be missing my brother & his wife & another sil. Our next door neighbor is letting us a borrow a big piece of carpet they have to throw down in our garage along with 2 8' tables & my friend let me borrow her Thanksgiving tree (since she has her CHRISTMAS up now) so we will be opening up our garage for some extra space. I bought some decorations & with the carpet & the tree, hopefully our garage will seem a little cozier!!! We will hook the wii up to our projector in the garage so the kids can go out & play Wii if they want. I'm really looking forward to it. Lots to do before then!!! I don't have time to work this week (at my job) Ha ha ha...

Well good morning! I woke up with headache,stuffy head,sore throat..it has to be be allergies,,, if not that...it's been in the mid 80's during the day and I have been running the A/c all night!! just unreal weather we are having. My plane was suppose to leave out of 545am but it had mechanical problems,so I had to wait for the next one which is at 1140am...so I had time to go back home and get a few hours sleep. now I just worry about getting in before the last plane to PDX for the night!! I may be spending the night at a hotel in Denver! I have alot to catch up on here i will try during the layovers to catch up on this thread...I hope everyone has a safe,happy thanksigving!

I got my MMC Cookbook on Saturday, and finally had time to sit down and look at it last night. It's got a lot of recipes I want to try; I'll be busy with them till next November, I'm sure. By the way, I love the cover. Not only is it a pretty cover, but it's one of those really nice "Wipe-Clean" covers. What every cookbook should have!

And I'm glad it came when it did, because Sunday is the last free day I'm going to have for this week. I'm packing today, and baking and cooking tomorrow and Wednesday. This is along with a full-time job, of course. But even that is fun this time of year; all the patients are wishing us "Happy Thanksgiving", and "Merry Christmas", "Happy Hanukkah", etc, etc. They're already bringing us treats too, which is one of the big perks of working in a Doctor's office.

Uh, oh, Boss is calling me. Have a great day, everyone!

It is going to be a very good day for me! I WILL NOT BE TIRED, I WILL NOT BE TIRED, I WILL NOT BE TIRED! Ha ha! I got a lot to do today no time for being TIRED!

Anyway, I am off work from my job and babysitting. My son-in-law is off work today so he will be home with my grandchildren. I plan to get a lot done to prepare for Thanksgiving.

Wayne got some cleaning done while I was at work yesterday. He is such a sweetie. He has seen how tired I have been lately. He gave me a hug yesterday and told me to take it easy that he will help with whatever I need. I am not one to give a "honey do" list. I know he works hard throughout the week and like for him to rest when he can. He has always helped out with chores but I just don't like to ask too much more from him. He never expects me to work my rear end off either and reminds me that he is there to help out so I just need to ASK! He is such a blessing in my life!

You are very lucky to have a man like that. thank god so do i. he does more than i do. there is so many out there that have men that wood not lift a finger.

Good afternoon Christmas Family !!

Only three more days this week then I am off for three in a row !! Believe me, I need it !! I can't wait to decorate the tree.....It is a new one this year and so pretty ......It is flocked..I know some folks don't like flocked trees but I have always loved them..!

I am getting very annoyed with this WARM weather !! Made.....you guys have just about the same weather we do here in NE OH .....shouldn't it be COLD by now ?? Or is this "Normal" ?? I can't remember from year to year......xo

I bought two new angels for my nativity scene.......I think they are beautiful and just what all the animals need to watch over them as they visit the baby Jesus.......I probably shouldn't have self indulged like that but I have been wanting them forever !! I can't wait til they get here !

We still don't have our outside decorations up..Very unusual for us...I hope we can get time to set them up.
