The gym took a lot out of me, so much that I spent plenty of hours laying down and watching TV... Not a regular occurence for me!
That has been happening to me lately. I am just wiped out after the gym. I hope you feel rested soon!
The rain is continuing to come down but it is supposed to switch to snow later this afternoon. It looks like we will get 1-2 inches overnight tonight.
Enjoy the snow!!!!

Everyone in the family are sick or has been sick except for my son and I. Wayne, my mom, dad and my 3 grandkids have all been sick in the past several weeks. Now my son-in-law and daughter are real sick. I am usually the one that catches everything so I hope they don't give it to me!

Wayne and my mom and dad came off the cruise ship sick (when we went in late October). I guess they gave it to everyone else. It is VERY unusual for my mom to get sick so I was very surprised when she caught what was going around.

Last night at work I loaded a truck and when I drove my fork lift in I was overwhelmed with the smell of Christmas trees. I don't know exactly what he hauled, but it did smell like pine. I love this time of year at work when that happens. I took my time loading it so I could enjoy it longer. Don't tell my boss.

:wiggy:

Rain, rain, rain....coming down fast and hard all morning so far. Flood warning out for some areas. Flood warnings in November are so weird, we should be having snow fall warnings!
This is the view out my front window, note a big and growing bigger puddle taking over the sidewalk...

Well crap....Somebody has an appendicitis. Gonna be out for a day or so..they won't let me have coffee and I am not real happy about it.

See u guys later. See ya at the pines.
Appendicitis AND no coffee?!? That's, like, a Greek tragedy! Feel better soon, my friend!

So far, I've been lucky. I usually come down with the flu some time after Thanksgiving. I hope your family gets better quickly!

Good Tuesday morning, my Christmas friends!

It's good to back in my routine. I was off work Thursday through yesterday, and I lose all track of time when I have that much time off. I haven't checked in here as often as I should have to stay up with all the posts! I even got kicked off earlier this morning; the server was too busy! Nice!

My Thanksgiving weekend was spent working at the store, helping Bernie get all the turkeys and hams smoked for customers, hunting with my son, and selling pecans. Busy, busy, busy! I had to come to work just to get some rest!

I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy

Tuesday ... and hoping there are no late-day client demands today! Fingers crossed! Counting down to my day off Friday.

Good morning my christmas friends! this beautiful little kitten above is the biggest reason I've not been here much the past few days. my 14 year old daughter found her when she was walking the Neighbours dog friday. all we did was took her inside the house. my 6 ft 4 200 pound husband took one look at her put the kitten on his chest, and now Hope Noel (yes folks, its even on the paper work from the vet) the kitten is apart of the family! All 1 pound 3 ozs of her. she has a very bad broke leg in witch she is having surgery this morning to fix. the reason they waited is because we had to give her antibiotics for an infection in her eye and dr.sullivan wanted to make sure they was in her system good then do the surgery(he said that would help her recover quicker too!). she also had abit of damage to her pelvis but she is pottying fine so the dr said we dont have too much worry about that from the x ray he took. and she is such a sweet little thing!!! I know who her owner was (who is 73 years young) and went to her, asking if we could keep her and with 3 other cats she said that was fine and she was blessed that we got her! we have also helped her find homes already for the brother and sister of hope, and me and another neighbour has gotton permission to go halfs have momma cat fixed.and mrs. betty is so happy for the help and dr sullivan is going to to that for half the cost because he knows we are trying to help mrs.betty out! so this has been a win-win deal for us all, and we are all blessed! so now I sit here waiting on word from the vet, on pins and needles! I know Hope is in wonderful hands but she is still a baby, our family's baby! everyone please keep little hope in your prayers! other than that Thanksgiving was fun and everyone is fine, well, and happy! as soon as i know anything I'll let yall know! take care and have a happy tuesday!!!!

Good Morning everyone! Wow oh wow everyone has been busy posting. I am having a hard time keeping up but I'm still here with the ho ho ho spirit! Rain today. BUT. Turning to snow tomorrow! Yippie! Ill have to post that on facebook for everyone to groan about. hehe. Spent the weekend at my Moms place. I had dinner at my Grandmothers place Saturday evening. She is going to be 93 and she is awesome. I put the lights up on her house, as my Dad called me Griswold HAH! Then I put up her tree. William liked playing on the electric organ at her place. We had pizza for dinner there. Dad, his girlfriend and my Sister were there too. Mom bought William some dinosaurs. Man does he love those! Well. back to work I go. Carl said he is getting a lot of cards from the exchange! He is pasting them up at the Pines for us to see.

Good morning everyone! We got back from Pennsylvania late last night, and I'm drinking much coffee trying to get through my work day so I can go back home and get some sleep. Pennsylvania was great this year; weather was much warmer than usual. We left our coats in the car, and spent much time in outdoor activities such as hunting Covered Bridges. We saw Christmas Village, Roadside America, the Putz at the Moravian Church, Christkindlemarkt in Bethlehem, The Christmas Museum, Choo Choo Barn, and lots of decorated houses. We had to miss the Railroad Museum this year; they were doing construction. All in all, it was a great trip! (Need some sleep, though-and time to do a mountain of laundry!)

Onward to Christmas! Our Chorus Concerts start this weekend, and I for one am looking forward to them. I like to see the audience smile. On the home front, I need to take down the (few) Thanksgiving decorations, and put the Nativity scenes up. Then we can finish decorating the tree, and we'll be all set.

Looks like it's going to be a busy week. Have a good day, everyone!

I can't believe it either. I just wish time would slow down a little now.

Have you ever been to New York, especially at Christmas time? It's beautiful there this time of year. My DH has never been there before and I told him we need to go sometime when it's decorated for Christmas. He would love it.

Never been but heard such wonderful things about it, I plan to go for a week either the end of nov or beg of dec. There's so much stuff I want to do there too :)

Stay safe my christmas friends

Hello everyone! It has been a while!

Yes, I survived the craziness that was Black Friday at Kohl's and Hallmark! Still recovering from the serious lack of sleep, but it gets less by the day!

DF and I ended up having a Thanksgiving after all...his sister and her husband had actually reserved us seats at the Viking Club dinner, so we were able to enjoy it. It was one of the biggest feasts I've ever eaten at - they had turkey, ham, roast beef, crab cakes, and all the sides you could possibly imagine! It was delicious! I was able to get to sleep around 4pm, but Sangria decided she wanted to play trampoline with my face around 8, so I only had 4 hours of sleep before heading into 15 straight hours of Black Friday work - ugh!!

Glad you had such a nice Thanksgiving!!

Kohl's had a line 15 minutes long (that's how long it took for everyone to get into the store walking in a single file line going at a pretty good speed, holy cow)!!! My manager actually did not have me doing credit greeting (THANK GOD!!!) - I got to be a line monitor which was awesome because I basically got to stand there and talk to people, which I love doing! =D Most of the people were very friendly and talked back, but I did get a few people who were angry at me because we ran out of limited quantity items before they had a chance to get them, or mad because we didn't have more registers or carts (because yeah, I *totally* control that, grrr). Worst part of the day was having to break up a fight between customers, which at the time was awful but now I can just laugh at because I can't believe people are SO RIDICULOUS to let stuff like that happen. These people were at least twice my age, and I felt like a kindergarten teacher having to stand there and separate them. I kinda let my temper get the best of me though when they wouldn't stop screaming at each other and as I was walking away, I turned to another associate who had helped me diffuse the situation and said (what I thought was under my breath), "JFC (yes that's an abbreviation...) I didn't know they let five years olds shop without their parents..." and the one guy heard me and called me a [b-word]. I was just livid with the whole situation. Maybe that's not very polite or of good customer service, but the fact that I had to break up a fight between perfectly able-bodied-and-minded people when I wasn't even an hour into my Black Friday shift...maybe it was too much. The rest of the shift went without incident though.

Wow, some people need to chill! And grow up. Sorry you had to deal with that. I bet you're so glad it's over!!!

Hallmark was sooo tiring though. I had started to hit a wall and really had to push through it, but luckily it was semi-not busy so I was able to relax. Once I got home though, it was so hard to not just fall asleep right away, so DF and I watched Zookeeper with Kevin James, which was okay I guess...I wasn't really into it but DF seemed to like it!

Saturday was another early Kohl's shift but I was out by 8. Then my FSIL, another bridesmaid and her husband (one of DF's groomsmen) and I went last minute dress shopping. I know I'd said that I already found my dress, but my mom had been convinced that that wasn't my dress, so I decided to just go to one more salon and see if maybe there were something else. Well, long story short, I found another one and I pretty much fell in love with it. I was very confused and didn't know what to do, and the manager there all of a sudden started pushing the pressure on to buy it right that minute, so my one bridesmaid pretty much told her to back off, and we left. We all went to eat lunch and I couldn't stop talking or thinking about it, or looking at the pictures they had all taken. I wasn't ready to say yes yet, but I made an appointment for the next day and called my parents to see if they would come out with me. (The consultant had taken me aside away from the manager and said she'd give me the sale price the next day, even though the sale was SUPPOSED to end Saturday. She was FABULOUS.) Well, my parents, the same bridesmaid and groomsman and I went back yesterday...

And I said yes to the dress!!!! (LOL - I even made my consultant ask me if I was saying yes to that dress!!) =)

I am still in complete shock that I decided on a dress and that it's MINE...it's so surreal! If anyone's interested in what it looks like, the link is here: http://www.alfredangelo.com/collect...tegoryId=a495dcb2-c9a9-4654-b490-3ddfef4377f9 Once I get a platinum membership again, I will upload some pics of myself in the dress, as I think it looks completely different on me than it does the model. I'M SO EXCITED!!!!

That's about all the excitement going on here - I hope everyone's having a great week and is having a great time putting up decorations! Hopefully DF and I will be putting ours up (finally!) this week.

What a gorgeous dress! So elegant! Love it!!!

Going to bed shortly, watching Scrooged on AMC.

Love that movie! Hubby & I watch that dvd every Christmas! :)
Hope you're feeling better, xmas!

Have a good night.

Good evening, Christmas family

I am getting ready to watch A Season For Miracles on the Hallmark channel. They just had on one of my very favorite commercials. It is for Traveler's Insurance and the music is "Happy Together" by the Turtles. It stars two dogs who are in love .....It is so cute !!

That's a great commercial! My Dad & I also love the one where he buries his bone, then takes it to a safety deposit box, and can't stop thinking about it..."Trouble, trouble, trouble...worry, worry, worry" Do you know which one I mean?! So cute!!!!

I keep hearing it is supposed to be colder here in NE OH.....I sure hope so.....that would make it feel so much more Christmassy !

Dawg - I am so glad Brandi made it back safely. I hope you can get some sleep !! I swear as far as sleeping goes, you are my twin ! xo

Made - Still thinking of your niece xo Hope she is doing okay !

Good Morning, Christmas Family!!

*Hope everyone is having a nice Tuesday so far*

It's supoosed to get up to 70 degrees here today- talk about crazy weather! :o)
But, by Thursday, highs near 50. That's more like it!!

Thank you to everyone that is participating in the card exchange for the beautiful cards! They are so fun to receive. And it's wonderful to get them from all over the world, see different greetings, and hear about other traditions, etc. Simply a fabulous experience!

Well, I made a small dent in stocking stuffers yesterday, so I guess that's something. I really need to spend the day out shopping, and not come home until it's finished! Maybe that should be the plan for this weekend.

I went to Hallmark yesterday to buy the Jingle cartoon /movie. Did anyone see that over the holiday weekend? I just loved it! And I also found a keepsake ornament that I had been looking for- a family of snowmen that plays "We Need A Little Christmas". Couldn't resist!

Better get back to work, my break is almost up. I hope you all have a jolly day! :sparkle:
