Wow!! Someone stole a semi truck full of 4000 Blackberry Tablets from a rest stop on the north side of Indy. I wonder how many people will buy them and not realize there is a GPS built into it until the cops show up.

I just mixed some Marie Callendars southwestern cornbread mix together and am going to try once more to cook it...I say once more because the first time I attempted the southwestern cornbread mix it was so crumbly I could not even pick up a a piece without it crumbling. I am not good at cooking cornbread so I thought the just add water and mix would be okay...but I don't know what else to do I added an egg,and don't know if that would make any difference or not so does anyone have any advice?...I am also grilling steak too...now that I am more comfortable with. It's a nice 70F now but we made it up to 77F again this afternoon. Slightly cooler air will come through this weekend,tomorrow night it will get down to 35F and highs tomorrow and sunday in the upper 60's before next week rolls around again and we hit the mid 70's for daytime highs! I hope everyone had a good TGIF and has a wonderful weekend...I am taking a break from Hallmark channel movies the past few days and am watching the ID channel...and my weekend mystery stories...I like true crime although sometimes I need a break from that too.lol have a good evening everyone!

It's been a fine day so far! Finally settled down around 1 p.m. and watched something I hadn't seen in a few years---"The Box of Delights," a 6-part BBC production based on the book by John Masefield. Had some lunch, a glass of chocolate milk, a couple mugs of tea with vanilla sugar and cinnamon ... listening to Sounds of the Season on cable as I surf the forums. Mr. will get home late tonight, so I think some Rankin-Bass will be next. Hoping we have time for some feature films this weekend.

On a sadder note. My sister's neighbor is bringing her son home from the hospital with hospice care. They just had a meeting with the doctors and they said he most likely wouldn't make it longer than a couple of days. His heart has stopped twice now and he can't breathe without oxygen. He told his parents that he saw heaven the last time his heart stopped and it was beautiful. So hopefully that will help comfort them a little.

So sad, but some comfort in that he seems to be at peace with going, having glimpsed Heaven. It's a blessing he was able to tell his parents about that.

Well the doctor in Portland agrees with my niece's doctor in Seattle and thinks they should go back to the steroid injections. the doctor in Seattle only wants to do them in the knees though and she thinks they need to do them in every joint that is affected. The doctor in Portland actually knows my niece's current doctor so she is going to call him and tell him her opinion. My sister already has the injections scheduled for Monday so she said they would probably stick with that for now.

After all she has been through, I hope they can find an answer to some permanent relief soon.

The directions did not say anything other than adding water and mix which was what I did last time and it was so crumbly. So I took the liberty about adding the egg...did not figure it would hurt I guess...It's about time to take it out now.Maybe it will be okay!!

I don't babysit or work today. What will I do today??? Well, I have presents to wrap. I guess I can get that done! That won't take all day though! What else shall I do? =)

Friday ... a "mental health day" for me. Time to kick back and de-stress, maybe with some gourmet chocolate milk (there's a brand here in New England that's made with Belgian chocolate and cane sugar) and Christmas movies, which I haven't had time to indulge in. The evenings next week will be short because of my office workload, and this weekend may be busy, so I want to do some holiday relaxing today.

One possible difficulty: I got an answering machine message the day before yesterday from someone who may make trouble. I don't intend to talk to this person (long, unpleasant story), and I'm concerned that she may start phoning constantly to try to force me to talk to her. There have been several hang-ups when the machine answers ... I hope the phone doesn't ring constantly all day with hang-ups. We don't have a "spy phone," so I can't check the number of who's calling. The hang-ups could be sales calls---but it could be her, so they jangle my nerves.

Enough of my bleating! Onward to a day of holiday entertainment for ME! I hope Christmas cheer is finding everyone and brightening your season.

Me Thinks this lady needs to have an offer she can't refuse !! xo...Ill talk to her !

Snicker’s Version Of a Night Before Christmas…​

Taws the night before Christmas and all through the house​

The kitties were purring and mewing about​

Our stockings were hung, on the door way bough​

In hopes that Santa Paws would soon be here​

Mom was asleep and Pop was too​

Dreaming of goodies and fun soon to be had​

Bella & Callie pacing the floor​

And I on my doggie bed resting my head​

When out on the lawn I heard a clatter​

My ears all alert I sprang from my bed the kitties right behind me​

We all raced to the window​

All of our noses pressed to the window​

The moon & the lights casting a soft glow​

So peaceful, so clam I almost began to wonder​

If we were just overacting​

But to our surprise right before our eyes​

Santa Paws & his reindeer​

He jumped from the sleigh​

And then caught sight of our wondering eyes​

With a twinkle he lifted his finger, shhhh, he said​

And right to our door he came​

For no chimney we had​

Before we knew it he was inside​

He smiled and laughed & scratched our chins​

He went right to work after that​

Filling the stocking with cat nip & bones​

On a sadder note. My sister's neighbor is bringing her son home from the hospital with hospice care. They just had a meeting with the doctors and they said he most likely wouldn't make it longer than a couple of days. His heart has stopped twice now and he can't breathe without oxygen. He told his parents that he saw heaven the last time his heart stopped and it was beautiful. So hopefully that will help comfort them a little.

Oh Made.......I can't help it.....I am still crying about this. I have no doubt he will be in the circle of the most wonderful love ever but it is just so sad.....praying for his family xo

Well I didn't make my whoopie pies today. I decided to wait until closer to Christmas to make them. I did make some more chocolate chip cookies and more peppermint bark. I also made some of the saltine cracker toffee and I just pulled a cake out of the oven to make cake balls with. I'm looking for volunteers to come dip them in chocolate tomorrow. I promise to have the TV on ABC Family all day for the Rankin Bass marathon and I'll even let you try a couple when we get done!!!!!!

I just pulled a cake out of the oven to make cake balls with. I'm looking for volunteers to come dip them in chocolate tomorrow. I promise to have the TV on ABC Family all day for the Rankin Bass marathon and I'll even let you try a couple when we get done!!!!!!

Oh come on! Am I your slave now? I don't want to! First the dishes, which now my hands are so dry that are bleeding. I wish you could have provided Palmolive!

Well, I changed my mind, that Rankin Bass marathon sounds tempting! I will be right over to help! How nice that you will even let us try a couple of them! =)

Speaking of cake balls, I made a bunch for Thanksgiving and the family gobbled them up then asked me to make more. They sure are a lot of work!
