Greetings Christmas friends. I'm so excited because tomorrow morning I head up to Montreal to spend the next week enjoying Christmas with my son. It's such a pleasure coming on here to soak up the excitement. Thank you all for the wonderful things you do here throughout the year. Merry Christmas friends.
Hello all,
Can't believe it's 5 days and just a few hours from Xmas Eve!!
As expected, the last two months have just flown by.
My first Xmas celebration has come and gone this past weekend and it was a great one, minus the long distance driving friday morning and yesterday morning, but the weather was mostly on our side, so no complaints about the road trip.
In just a matter of days, I get to do it all over again but for the entire weekend this time, LoL!
First things first, baking tomorrow evening. We make our Toblerone Shortbread cookies for this weekend.
Then I start Xmas vacation as of days end on Thursday and I'm off until Jan, yeah!!
Have a good final week B4 Xmas all!!
Cheers!!
ML
P.S.
The only thing still missing around here is the snow!! We've received a light dusting over the past two days but not enough to really cover the grass completely.
yes, Christmas is almost here!Hi
Only two more work days before Xmas Vacation time then Xmas weekend!
Meceka,
I received the Bronner's ornament today! Gorgeous is the only way to describe it!!! I LOVE snowmen!!!
That is what DH got me for Christmas and I plan on getting on mine too. Is it easy to use with MMC or do you think I should just keep using my laptop?
We just watched the DVD of the 1956 "The Stingiest Man in Town" with Basil Rathbone. In a word ... WOW. Ignore the technical limitations of the kinescope, and admire the performances and the sheer ambition of a production of that scale with no editing, no retakes, going out LIVE for 90 minutes. A few little slip-ups, but mostly magnificent performances, good music, good lyrics, and a lively book that walks effectively between Dickens' dialogue and original dialogue. If you only know this musical through the album, you must see the DVD. It's even better seeing the songs performed in context. If you think you've seen all the versions of "A Christmas Carol" that you ever need to see, think again. This one is unique and shouldn't be missed.
