Christmas Countdown - 2012

We just got back from church. It was still fully decorated, we sang all Christmas songs and had a Christmas sermon. AWESOME!!!

It won't feel like the Countdown until Made does his countdown to the important dates besides Christmas, like Christmas in July, Halloween, Thanksgiving, etc...

You know, I was thinking that too! Also all the updates on QVC Christmas goodies!!!

Crown is the master at the Countdown for the most important day of the whole year!

Made is the helper for the other stuff. =)

I was just thinking I will probably go out to the Goodwill shop and the DVD trade in store next week to see the "new" Christmas stuff they got in after everyone takes everything down, and gets rid of what they don't want. We have to work on Thank you cards today, but I still have 2 more days off after today.

I LOVE all those special days and countdowns! It really makes the time to Christmas seem shorter.

I have tomorrow off, too. Then it's back to school for me on Tuesday. I am already looking forward to the weekend. Too much time off this past year.

Not doing much today. I am usually working at this time but today since I was not required to I decided to take the day off even though I don't get paid for it. I don't have anything planned for today at all......I am going to watch some of the final Christmas movies on Hallmark channel and try and be ready for work tomorrow. I have a doctor appointment on Friday for a problem I have been having and thinking I may need to move it up a little........xo

I realized he hasn't done it since before Thanksgiving, I appreciate when he does it. It really does make time go by quicker.

Can you believe it is 50*F here in New England, the boys are outside in sweatshirts, and still no sign of snow. Yesterday was the first NYE we didn't get any snow accumulation in 4 years. I hope the weather of 2012 will be better and more normal than 2011. :snowball

This is the prettiest New Year's Day I can ever remember. It is 62 outside. I was out in jogging pants and a short sleeve shirt and it was a little hot.

Hello MMC friends! How is everyone doing on this fine New Years Day? Hope this finds you all well.

Just got done eating lunch here a little bit ago and got a few hours of sleep when I got here to my mom and dads. I plan on spending time here until 6 and watching some of the Steeler game here as well.

The wind outside is nuts! It always scares me when we get severe winds because there are tons of trees behind my bedroom, and a few of the larger ones are very old and shaky. My parents offered to have them cut down because if they fall they'll hit my room - but no one will have it done. It's so windy that my grandpa won't even come over for New Years dinner now!

I agree with the cooler summer comment. I love summer just as much as everyone else, but I seriously roasted my butt off. I went to my cousin's graduation party near the 4th of July and I thought I was going to die. It was in the 90's here in Pittsburgh and the humidity was up extremely high. There was no breeze and extreme sun, I remember just wanting to leave ASAP! You can't even eat when it's that hot because you feel sick. We had some very hot months and I just don't like it. I like a day when it's in the mid 70's and I can relax with the windows open and no AC.

But for now - winter is starting! We're supposed to get some snow in the next couple of days and the strong winds are supposed to continue. We have been having constant gusts since about noon that are over 50 mph!
