Sugar, I hope you don't mind but I shared this with her. She is very excited and hasn't started clinicals yet. She is very nervous but also excited. She is get her BSN as well but luckily this isn't her first degree so it'll only take her 3 years to complete the entire thing because some credits have transferred. I'm sure it'll be over before she knows it!

You're more than welcome to share it with her! She can do anything she puts her mind to to! When I was getting my RN, I had gallbladder surgery over Thanksgiving break and to go back to school in 4 days. Then I was diagnosed with seizure disorder that same semester.

During my BSN, my last semester, I was 8 months pregnant with my first child when I graduated. She can do it!

Just read that Penn State's Joe Paterno is dying right now, he is said to be in extremely grave condition.

This makes me sad as I am a student there.

Makes me very sad too. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

Well just about to log off for the night, just wanted to tell everyone goodnight and I will talk to y'all tomorrow. I hope we don't loose power,it seems we do everytime it rains now a days,we are about an hour away from some strong storms. I need the rain though,me and the family are going to watch tv tonight and in the morning I take mom and sis to the airport,I have enjoyed the visit so much,I look forward to June when they come back hopefully this time with dad!! Have a good night everyone!

I pray for safe travels!

Good evening friends. Hope you all had a great day.

DH and I are just sitting here watching tv. I am going to read some from my Nook. I am sure we will be heading to bed soon because he works in the am. I will be up whenever DS gets up, which will probably be between 5:30 and 6:30, but I pray that it is later since I work tomorrow night.

Well, I will be here in the am with a cup of coffee. See you then!

Goodnight Everyone!!!!!!!!!

Dawg- I'll be praying that your family has a safe trip home.

Good evening, Christmas family !

Getting ready to call it an evening. The "new"schedule is NOT going to work. Since I have only been on it a week and since I told them I wasn't sure it was going to work, I don't think they should have a problem letting me go back to my other schedule, the one I am used to........Having one off then working the next and then another day off after that just does not feel like I am having a weekend. I need a good two days away from typing to be rested. I just hope they are going to understand.

Made - I read about your little niece this afternoon. My gosh. I am so sorry. That poor little lamb deserves pain relief and a normal childhood xo........I am continuing to pray for her xo

Dawg- Praying your loved ones get home safefly xo

I am glad so many of you liked the "Doggie commandments" as I call them that I posted........Yes, Dawg, number 10 is a hard one and one I have done many times........I would not, could not dream of letting my children go without my being there to hold them even though it completely rips my heart out........

I am having SO MUCH trouble right now with my food intake. I know it is because it is Winter and I know that what I am doing is using food for comfort but even though theoretically I know what is going on my emotions are a mess. Been bingingfor two days now. If I dont get things back under control soon, I will be heavy again all over.....aarrgh....

For thos of you who know me on Facebook, I posted a video of my sweet girl Clancy (Rhodesian Ridgeback) playing in the snow with my husband. It is not a great quality video but it just shows how joyful she is when she gets in the snow !! You would never figure that since Ridgebacks are originally from South Africa !!!

If any of you would like to friend me on FB just look for Louann Jeffries and let me know your MMC name !!

I really hope everyone is okay here......I have been extremely remiss today in checking in with my Christmas family ! Someone,I think it was Shellie, noted that I love classical music.....Yes, that is true, I do but I believe in 'Making a joyful noise unto the Lord" with everything from Beethoven, Mozart, Metallica, Pantera, Brad Paisley, Eminenm and of course my Beloved Third Day !! I believe God gives us all many differents tastes and loves and I want to celebrate all of them - whether it is banging my head or singing in praise !!

I am going to close for the night. Christmas family be safe and well xo (((HUGS)))) for furkids, Ella, Snickers, Harlowe, Snowball, Chico, Daisy, Hobbs, Palmer, Mouse, Bo, Scooby, Sasha, Gomez, and all furkids everywhere who need love xo

It's off to bed for me to sulk myself to sleep about my binging.......xo:-?

Had a group going on a trip....leaving at 5:30 am....when my phone started ringing at 6:15...I was a little nervous....bus stopped working...whew....

so spent the morning dealing with a bus situation, then work....then nap....the more work. Finally, wife and I watched a movie. Still haven't caught up from this week....but will tomorrow. Who is everyone wanting to win?

See y'all in the morning!

When the weather channel says...."You better watch out tomorrow night....it's gonna get ugly", kinda raises your eyebrows.

Good Morning, My Friends.

Immediately to the count:
Days to the Season: 296
Days to Christmas Day: 338

It's three-to-a-quarter.
<< What, Crown? >>
The ONE QUARTER Season mark is three weeks from today!
<< Ah! And so soon! >>

Chilly this morning, with our thermometer standing at 34 degrees here in the capital city.
Yesterday's rain has subsided and we should be in for a dry, albeit chilly, day.

Any plans for the remainder of the weekend?
I'll try to catch the NFL conference championship games, even though my Packers were eliminated last weekend.
Guess I'll pull for the Ravens in the AFC and the Forty-Niners in the NFC.

Have a Super Sunday, Everyone!

I wouldn't mind a lift back to visit San Francisco again! My dad was stationed at Presidio for a few years when I was a kid. I have been back there in 30 years!

I remember the movie.

Well I'm 2300 miles away but from talking to my niece on the phone and skype I know she's in constant pain. So I would believe that she is still inflamed. They got a second opinion before christmas and the doctor agreed with the treatment they were stating my niece on but now her doctor doesn't want to continue on that route and he is the only doctor in state that sees kids that young. My sister would have to drive 6 hours to go to the other doctor. Another part of the problem is that her current doctor doesn't talk to her physical therapist since she is not at the childrens hospital. My sister doesn't want to take her to the therpist there though because it's an hour an a half away. So my niece would have to miss one day of school a week to go there where her current therapist is 3 minutes from her house and gets her in after school. She was even recommened to my sister byt the therapist at the childrens hospital because she use to work there. They are going to take her down to the childrens hospital for a consulation with there therapist though in a couple of weeks. Her feet do point inwards and she has inserts for that in her shoes already. Part of that is because my niece is double jointed so normal for her is different than the rest of us. I think the whole problem is that her doctor only sees her once every couple of months so it's just hard for him to tell when she's swollen compared to someone who see's her every week. He kept saying she wasn't swollen back in novemeber until they did a MRI and discovered her knees were extremely inflamed.

Gosh, I only have mild arthritis in my knees likely from a few old injuries, I can't imagine what your niece is going through with her pain. Sure hope they get to the bottom of it and help ease her pain.

My doctor and I came to a conclusion about my health last June and my physio therapist said it wasn't what we were fearing. He said there's no way no matter how determined I am that I could do what I do five to six days at the gym and work five days a week on top of that if I had fibromyalgia. The problems I'm having are from a variety of reasons, more recently the discovery that my thoracic spine and nerves in that area are problematic. Whew! It doesn't sound like a relief, but it is better than a diagnosis of fibromyalgia. We're not sure if the nerves along my spinal cololum have been affected yet, but we're currently working on exercises and heat therapy. I'm still working out so it can't be that serious for me. Just sharing this to illustrate that the first diagnosis is not always the right one. Hope they find some answers for her soon so they can treat her properly.

came into the kitchen and found Penny staring out the window, tail lashing back and forth, so had to see what she was looking at...
picture.php

figured the bird would be long gone by the time I got may camera out, but it was still there! Those 2 sat for about 5 min staring at each other before Penny finally gave up and walked away.

The birds around here taunt O'Malley often by the window.

The version by Harry Humphrey is kinda creepy ... his Santa laugh sounds almost sinister! But the 1922 version (I think it's Ernie Hare) isn't so bad.
I'm guessing the version I'm recalling is that of Harry Humphrey.

Oh Auntie, that was just adorable. He has a new fort, who needs cat nip

He loves his fort. I thought he'd have it demolished by now, but he's going at it slow and I flipped it upside down and tossed his old towel on top and he made himself right at home.

EGAD! I had galbladder surgery back in '90 before the lazer option, I was in the hospital for two weeks over Halloween and off work for four weeks, the stones escaped and were found throughout my duodenum which isn't common. No wonder I was in so much pain before I finally went to the hospital. By that time I was jaundice and bent over. I returned to work two weeks early.

Oh.
Carl wants to make it clear, he's NOT related to this camel!
http://www.rr.com/video/2188623149

It says, video currently unavailable. Reading below it says a camel attacked a reported. Carl wouldn't do that unless the reporter stole his coffeeblend recipies and then he would only spit at the reporter.

Cm3 - I pray that you get good news about the job. I myself think that would be very hard for everyday in general. It wouldn't give much of a break to do anything, especially working the hours you do. Let us know what you find out. We're all behind you!

Good morning MMC pals. How are you all this am? I am well. I got to sleep a little longer than I thought. DH's alarm went off around 5:30, which I thought would be the time I would be getting up, which I guess I techinally I did, as that did wake me up. I wasn't really able to fall asleep until he left for work at 6:15. DS didn't wake me up though until 7:30! He kinda was fussing here and there in his crib, but didn't want up until then. It was nice.

I am just sitting here now with my coffee, EA is watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. I don't have much to do today. I do have to check to see if I need to wash any clothes, but other than that, it will be a relaxing day with the kids! I think I am going to throw a ItalianVegetable Soup in the crockpot around lunch time.

Well, I hope all of you have a great day! Off to read the rest of the boards! Hopefully later I will even be able to catch a nap, since I work tonight. Keep your fingers crossed for me!
