anyone here like putting together puzzles? A friend dropped off about 10 boxes of them here today. We have done one already and working on another. We just set it up on a table and everyone works together on it whenever they feel like it. Sometimes it is quick, other times they can be up of a couple of weeks before it gets done.
i do like puzzles but our cat, Holly, loses all the pieces on us if we don't keep it covered or hidden from her! lol
Had a group going on a trip....leaving at 5:30 am....when my phone started ringing at 6:15...I was a little nervous....bus stopped working...whew....

so spent the morning dealing with a bus situation, then work....then nap....the more work. Finally, wife and I watched a movie. Still haven't caught up from this week....but will tomorrow. Who is everyone wanting to win?

See y'all in the morning!
coach i think i want ravens to win. gotta soft spot for michael orr as i have a blindside son also! as far as the 49'ers & n.y, i think maybe n.y.
Here are a few pics of O'Malley and his birthday pad!

Here's a view of the birthday and Christmas cards the kids pasted onto his fort.

They also attached patches of fabric because I told them before that he likes to rub his whiskers on the edges of cardboard or textured fabric.

They also added a few beads attached to string and the best idea of all came from a boy who had recently turned five and had two cats of his own. He made O'Malley a bottle rattle while the teacher cut a small hole for the bottle to go through the box and once the boy stuck a few beads inside, she secured it with a cap from the inside of the box. They also added a yarn pom-pom ball to it. The finishing touch were the two holes they cut so he could climb in one and look out the other like a window. He managed to crawl through the round window hole this morning, but I missed snapping that one as I was recharging my battery.

oh auntie that's so cool, maybe we should do one of these for our Holly. i just wonder if our dogs would chew it up.

Joe Paterno dies at age 85, just shortly after 10 today. May the lord be with him, and his family. Prayers for his family and friends.

well i got up a little early this a.m. & found "The Notebook" just coming on. i got to watch the whole thing. oh how i love that movie. it has been so long since i last seen it i had forgotten some of it!
today is pretty chilly here & already went through 1 pot of coffee...think i'm gonna put on another now. hold on.........
ok, i'm back. hubby is getting all our tax stuff together. yuck! since i'm off tomorrow i'll take it to our accountant. any $ returned to us this year is already spent. daughter will be 16 & wants a car as her brother got 1 when he turned 16. she does understand that she will NOT be driving to school. her school is too far away & must travel on some big highways. nope, nope, nope! i'm sure she'll try us but it ain't happening!
my 19 yr. old son has a car, actually a lemon. we bought it from friends & it's just awful. there's been something going on w/ it since we got it & the gas mileage is not good. he will be going to school in a nearby town next year & really needs something a bit better/more dependable. so guess what? now we will be looking for 2 cars. don't get me wrong, i'm not talking fancy, just as basic as possible. definitely not new!
my aunt is coming over after church. she's having some issues w/ her cable company & had called hubby this morning about satellite costs. he's gonna show her on line what they have to offer.
coffee's ready, i'll be back in a while.:tree:

good Morning everyone! Applying for a teaching job, so crossing my fingers it works out. Hope you all have a great day :)

Just checking in before I go to answer some long-overdue letters, both from folks who don't use computers. One is my aunt, the other is a lady who lived next door to me when I was a child. Not much goes on around here, but I should reply and let them know what little goes on! Because of the snow, we had a nice day indoors yesterday (except for the snow shoveling, which the neighbors cat thoroughly enjoyed supervising) and I made some spaghetti with Spatini sauce for lunch. Then we watched DVDs until bedtime, and I did some browsing with my Kindle Fire and added a couple things to my Wish List. Today we'll probably go out for some lunch and grocery shopping.

Auntie, I enjoyed those photos of O'Malley in his new domain, and am happy to hear about the music boxes.

CM3, I hope you get your schedule switched back without any fuss. And if you enjoy classical music, try to get Clementi's piano sonatinas. I'm playing them this morning and they're so nice as background music.

I'm not forgetting the rest of you! I read your posts every day and keep you in my thoughts.

Good luck! Praying that everything works out for you!

Watching the coverage on ESPN about JoePa's passing. It truly is amazing to see what one person can leave on this world. May you rest in peace JoePa.

Good morning!

I hope this finds everyone well! For those of you in the line of severe weather -stay safe!

I actually have a day off today and I don't know what to do with myself - lol. I guess I will go see what kind of mischief I can get up to today in the housecleaning and organizing department - I lead such an exciting life  Should be fun now that it is a bit warmer out and I don't have to stay so close to the heater!
Later on I will work on my Christmas journal and will find the blue yarn that went missing that I need for the afghan I am working on for my cousin.

Have a most MERRY day!!!!!!!!!!

It is so nice to get letters in the mail - I need to get back to my letter writing, too!
What is Spatini sauce?

Yesterday, when I was visiting my folks, my dad gave me the Christmas music box I had given my God-Mother for Christmas five years ago. She almost didn't get it because I liked it so much. I had bought a second one, but that one went to my granddaughter who also loved it. My God-Mother died two year's ago this coming Mother's Day and her daughters gave me several Christmas items I had given to her over the years, but one of them kept that one because they didn't know who it came from. They were visiting my folks last weekend (up for a funeral) so she dropped it off to surprise me. I didn't bug her about it because I knew she liked it too. It plays Santa Claus is Coming to Town and has an multi-coloured LED snowfall with a Christmas train in front of it and a lovely winter scene. I love it.

I already received the Jingle Bells music box book with Santa's toy shop inside (given to her back in '93). The workshop is animated. I tried them both out last night and again just now. I'm feeling festive!

Am sure your so happy to have it , it was mean to come back to you

Good morning! Talk about taking a while to catch up.....I've been at it for two hours. But that's what happens when you don't really read since Tuesday. I'm afraid this week is going to be as busy as last. We will soon find out.

As for today, I'm going to go to the office, grab some work, and sit in my chair and watch football all dang day! Do some work, read the boards, check Facebook, then read the boards some more....sounds like my kinda day.

Hope you all have a great Sunday!

I am off to reheat some pizza from dinner yesterday (that is our lunch), then I am going to stick the soup in the crockpot!
