Christmas Countdown - 2012

Good Morning MMC!!!!!!! It's gong to be a cold cloudy day here in central Indy with a chance of some rain and snow later this afternoon. Not exactly what the city was hoping for on the first day of the NFL experience being open. Well my mom has a lead on a new job but she would have to drive almost 40 miles one way. Her car is starting to fall apart though and I don't know if I would trust it that far everyday. So she is trying to decide what to do. I told her that she just needs to apply for it since her friend is pretty sure he can get her on. Then if she gets hired I'll take some money out of my savings and buy her a cheap used car. So we will see what she decides. She has just gotten spoiled living only 5 miles away from her job the last 14 years. Well I'm off to do something constructive. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
 
You are SO LUCKY!!! I went to bed with the sound of nothing and woke up with the sound of WIND!!! Ugh. Not good for the disposition of kiddos on the playground!!!

I know when I go to the pound or animal shelter I will get one,,,but the problem I run into there is that I want to take all of them home..I wish I could...if I had the space I would run an animal shelter..I think I better wait and discuss it more with brandi though,although she always says it's up to me...clearly it's NOT(sometimeslol) Hope everyone has a great friday...I will try to catch up in here in a few minutes...I hope everyone who has been sick is getting better...still everyone at work is sick!!!

Good luck to your mom on her job search! I've been here for 24 years and I live 2.3 miles away. Lucky, eh? On nice days, I sometimes drive our golfcart to work. It's nice, but it cuts into my lunch hour...LOL!

I've been at my job for 21 years, and I live a little less than a mile from work. I've even walked to work before--only when I don't have to carry any books!!!

Happy Friday, MMC!!

I am so in need of a relaxing weekend, so I am trying to get all of my work for school done, and my actual work for my job. I have two classes today, and then I have to come home and do some assignments: two quizzes and then homework questions.

The weather here has been so crummy lately. I feel like every time I go to my Monday/Wednesday/Friday classes that it is either pouring down rain, massive wind gusts, snowing, or bitter cold. I have to park so far away on those days and I always stroll into class either frozen or drenched. Today, of course - we have 40 mph wind gusts and rain/snow together - what a lovely combo!

I think I am going to bake cupcakes tonight or tomorrow, I have been really feeling for them! My mom and I are making stuffed cabbage together tomorrow, one of my favorites!

Good morning,

We had a heck of night last night, my wife and I were up almost all night with my older boy JP, he was (if you have a weak stomach turn away) throwing up all night. He is home with me today, I am trying to get him take a nap now, it's been hours since his last issue. I am sooooooooo tired, and I have to drive to downtown Springfield for my Dr. appt this afternoon, in the rain on a Friday. My foot is hurting, so I will hopefully find out when I will be able to go back to work today. I can't hide my limp, so I can't lie about it, I wouldn't want to anyway though. cheesy I will probably try to take a nap at some point.

Aww! Throwing up is the absolute worst - I will keep him in my prayers that he feels better as quickly as possible. Sips of Gatorade really helps! Hopefully that was his last time getting sick, he's probably exhuasted.

Good luck with your doctor appointment, I will say a prayer for you that all goes well and keep you in my prayers! I feel so bad that your foot is continually hurting, I really hope you're able to get some relief soon.

So glad that January is almost over and we are one month closer to the Christmas season! Been a hectic couple weeks for me, looking forward to the weekend to just chill out and relax. Hope everyone is doing well and in good spirits!
