Just picked the kids up, my second book came in today, "Life-Christmas Around the World," I am looking forward to siting down and reading it, Saturday "Christmas Memories 1900-1999" came in I read it cover to cover already, it wasn't long but I learned a lot from it. It was more of a quick fact book with cool pictures in it. JP has swimming tonight, and then Cub Scouts after that, he seems fine right now after school, hopefully it stays that way. My wife will be taking him tonight, as I am still recovering.

How in the world have I past 17k posts? if everyone here knew how quiet I am in real life no one would ever guess I would have 17,000 posts on a website!! Goooood Morning! I am still exhausted and just not feeling to well. I slept terrible last night and woke up around 5:30 am. Even though I don't physically feel well I am mentally well! I just put on a Happy Smile!

I had a little trouble sleeping last night but should make up for that tonight! I always hear winter can make you tired but it's the opposite for me. Summer drains me!!! It's just because where I live. Our summers are brutal and the winters are mild. We sometimes get some bitter cold weather but not often. I always feel better during the winter months versus summer.

summer drains me too, I have always had trouble with the heat. That is why spring and fall are my favorite seasons, both are neither to hot or to cold, just nice and comfortable.

Good afternoon, everybody! It's been a busy day here at the doctor's office. Everyone is coming in with this horrible cold with a cough that sounds like their lungs are going to come out any second. Hope all of you are being careful to wash hands, etc. when you've been around other people. You don't want to catch this! One unfortunate patient has had it for nearly three weeks now. It's just nasty. The best thing to soothe this nasty cough (besides meds from your doctor) seems to be hot tea with plenty of lemon and honey. And if you decide to put anything else in it, I won't tell! :wink:

Hopefully your not get it. yes always wash my hands and if i cant i use a spray. ( guess it comes from hand rearing the baby parrots. they can catch anything and if they do its usually fatal so am a firm beleiver in better safe that sorry )
There is a terrable bug going roind here at the moment. sore tummy and throwing up seems to only last 24 hours . touch wood i have not had it !!

yes, I too make sure I wash my hands often. Never know what you can pick up from anywhere.

Where can I get some of that chocolate chai tea?? That sounds yummy (and relaxing)! Is it something you can buy, or is it a recipe? I needed some comfort food after last week, so I got a bottle of Cocoa Metro ... mmmmmmm. It's packed with calories, so I don't buy it regularly. It makes wonderful hot chocolate if you warm it up.

I love chocolate chai tea! I can tell you where to get it here, but that will not do you much good there.

Which reminds me, Carl, this is for you, do not ever , never , not even a little bit mix coffee with tea again!!! Nothing more disgusting tasting.
If you do I will bring Larry the lama to visit you.....

Just getting home and eating a brownie...I never knew brownie's could give a person heartburn but I have had heartburn nonstop since sat...I guess it's the oil in them.?

I JUST got woke up by Jordan...I had one hour of sleep now I AM wide awake! I am bothered by something that happened today...and the thing is..I never knew and I hate when people have an issue with you and they don't bring it up but take it to another person!!! guys are just as bad as girls when It comes to gossip and stuff like that,they just go about it different,but anyways this guy at work got offended I guess by something I said months ago and he always is nice to me,but another friend of mine told me he came to him and said he was upset,but it's not big deal...well to me it's a big deal because I never meant to offence any one and anyone who knows me knows I would not do it on purpose...but it super miffes me off that he involved another person for no reason...such petty crap to deal with right now,;..so I am just going to ingnore it and think about what I am going to tell this dude...so..I guess that is why I can't sleep..lol have a good night everyone!!!

I used to have nights like that now and then when I'd rehearse what I was going to say. Trust yourself to find the words. Worrying about tomorrow doesn't help you enjoy today.

Thanks Cm3!!..It is resolved I suppose...I just told him if he has issues with me I would like for him to bring them to me instead of everyone else...he looked shocked and like he did not know what I was talking about..basically he denied taking offense to anything I said..So I got my poiint across..I still don't like it when people don't like me...I think everyone should like me and I know that is not how life is..there will always be someone who may not like you I need to learn to not let it bother me so much I guess!!!

It seems like it happens in every work place. It's such a shame and usualIy the result of a misunderstanding. I don't mind if someone asks me how to approach a person if I know them better than they do, but I don't stand for gossip.

I had a couple of people approach me over the years about another staff saying something about me and one of them was quite agitated about it because she knew it wasn't true and it was spreading like a rumour. I said, "I can't control what others say about me, I can only control what I say about others." However, if I heard the person saying it, I would have dealt with it. Truthfully it bothered me, but I considered the source and figured she was jealous or didn't know me well enough to realize I am legit. Some people think I "kiss up" to Senior Management, actually I don't fear them and I know my work ethic is what most people respect about me.

You just be yourself and hopefully the folks you work with will like you and get along with you.

Awwwwwwwww Frankenmuth - I have merry dreams of venturing that way one of these days to visit Bronners and the Silent Night Museum. Guess I could grab some tea while I'm there.
