Good afternoon, everyone!

Lunch time. On the other side of lunch, we'll be heading toward the weekend. Happy 'Pines Day! It's always good to have a midweek celebration.

Not much happening here. Nothing serious, but my back seems to be really killing me as of late. My lower back. I injured it while squatting last week. I may need to stop in somewhere for a massage today. It is quite painful. Still, it will go away soon. I just need to tough it out.

Hope all is well with everyone else! We certainly are closing in on that 1/4 to the Season milestone! The weather here hasn't changed much. It's been quite mild for winter. Highs just below freezing and lows not even reaching -10c. A strange winter, indeed. Still, Kim and I need to have our annual skate on the Rideau Canal soon. Hopefully it is re-open this weekend.

My mom just sent me a text message and said she is out of recovery. Not sure of much else. I am going to go to my two classes and just wait until she comes home tonight!

"Ubiquity" , meaning "the state of being everywhere at once (or seeming to be everywhere at once)". A busy person who travels from place to place quickly and seems to be everywhere at once would be "ubiquitous" (You can thank Charles Dickens for that one. I picked it up in "The Chimes". As Mr. Dickens described the family servant; "Her ubiquity was amazing.).

My mom's surgery just finished up, all went well. The surgery went quicker than anticipated. She has to stay until the early evening so they can monitor her, but then she can come home!

I am so thankful for all of your good thoughts and prayers for her because they got answered. Now hopefully this is the last time I had to complain to you guys, because I am sure you're all sick of hearing it!!

I'll be bringing daiquiris for all to the Pines!

I am assuming that any word we come up with should have an original twist to it the way Carl does? The words he comes up with are "excellentio"!

His words so far have been: indeedio, coffeeo and a few others I don't remember at this moment. So far he has an "o" added to the end of his words. That can change at any moment! cheesy

Good Morning MMC!!!!!! It's not going to be quite as warm today but it's still going to be 54 degrees. Not bad for February 1st. I've been sitting here watching espn the last couple of days and all they are talking about is Peyton. You would think thats the only reason they are broadcasting from downtown. Just resting right now, I have got a few things to do around the house, my wife is having an Open House for her Mary Kay side business on Friday. Watching another 80's classic, the original Griswold flick National Lampoon's Vacation. I have started eating like normal again, and I am hungry now so I must find something to eat.

hey ya'll! about to head to the pines, just thought i'd check in quick 1st.
got off @ 1pm today. aunt came over looking for a weight lifting belt her hubby had given my son. couldn't find it anywhere, oh well. guess he wanted to take his gift back huh? that's not very nice!
it appears we have some celebrating to do @ the pines today. news like jennifer91's mom got are reason to celebrate!
brent take care of your back & don't try to push it cause (like i always say) if you don't take it easy & rest it...IT will put you down w/ no choice!
son went to pick up daughter @ school for me which was so nice of him. i just hope she doesn't come home w/ a load of homework like she's had the last 2 days. heck, she'll make me late to the pines!!!!lol.
