Not that I am aware. However, if TuneIn Radio is available as an app for Android, one may find and save a preset for MCR (the Live365 version).

You can also pull up WAAM 1600 out of Detroit on Saturday nights and listen to the Greasy Skillet on the TuneIn app!!!!

They say that there is going to be 6 more weeks of winter. I don't know about anywhere else, but we are still waiting for winter to start here.

Made, I hope the job situation is working out for your mom. Also, I want to buy that elephant. He can hang out inside our house with us! =)

Thanks!!! She has put in 5 applications so far but hasn't heard back from anyone yet.

It looks like they are going to give Tombi one more chance today. If he doesn't get it right today though he is out of here!!!!!

Our weatherman said the long range forecast shows winter finally arriving but they also said that 2 weeks ago and now it's going to be in the 40's this weekend.

Good Morning Everyone!!!!! It's going to be another beautiful day here in Central Indy with a high of 54 degrees. I like it. I'm trying to decide if I want to go downtown today or tomorrow. It probably won't be as crowded today but I'm kinda dragging this morning. So we will see how I feel later today. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!

good a.m. ya'll, my mc family.
last evening was a not so good one. my son came home from class saying there's still the issue w/ his tuition & the computer has booted him back out of the system. uurrgghh. we thought it was taken care of 3 weeks ago but....not.
the man over admissions called last night & talked to him & is giving him a 30 day extension & he can still go to class but has to get all his prof. to sign this paper again saying he's been in class.some of you may remember me telling ya'll he went through this a couple weeks ago. as soon as our taxes come in we will pay it.
we are an avg. family & do not have lots of extra $. our son needs another car to go to school next fall in a town over & his is terrible on gas. the $ we were getting was going to him another car & daughter a car w/ whatever he makes off selling his going on the other also. (no we're not getting a big return just cheap cars) anyhoo i felt so bad for him last night because he knows if we pay the tuition we can't get him the car. he's scrambling trying to figure out something, he's going back to financial aid this morning to see if there's anything. as a mom it breaks my heart, i wish we had the extra $. i keep thinking this will help him become more aware of how things work & how important it is to get things done on your own but as a mom....ya'll know what i mean right?
please say a prayer all works out today for him.

money is always the problem and the solution. My daughter is facing similar challenges at college.
Hope it all works out, and it usually does!

Has anyone ever seen a watermelon-sized eggplant? Well...that's what my right boob looks like!!! It is TOTALLY purple and swollen!!! Sorry, guys!!!

Ouch, sorry to hear that ... but how much worse it would be if it looked like an eggplant-sized watermelon! Hang in there. A cold pack may help.

I hope the troubles clear up soon. I'm thinking of you.

I don't know if this is nationwide news but yesterday evening I heard a loud boom which scared the crud out of me. I jumped up and looked out my window and didn't see anything going but thinking something blew up. Then 9:00 news came on and said the police department got a lot of calls about a bright light in the sky and a loud boom. I didn't see the light, I only heard the boom. They confirmed it was a meteor. Dang! It was loud!

It reminds me of the time the space shuttle blew up over Texas. That shook my apartment. I had no idea what it was until I heard the news later. That was sad.
sorry, we told him not to set it off, but he just had to do it!
wanted to see what would happen if he put dynamite in one of my cupcakes.

That sounds much more alarming than the little earthquake rumble we got a few months ago. One of the great things about technology is that you can usually find out quickly what happened---I was at the office during the earthquake and Googled soon after, and it was in the news already.

I have it preset on the Kindle Fire! Now I just need a Saturday evening when I'm free at 8 p.m. Maybe I should try an online recorder, unless there are links to past shows. I played around with TuneIn one evening---it's got lots of good stuff to explore.

I have to stay late at the office tonight---they're working on an important Friday-morning presentation for a client, and they need me to check any changes after their late-day meeting. Thank heaven for Wi-Fi. If I've got nothing better to do while I'm waiting for their meeting to break up, I can watch a movie or stream some free video. Or check in here! cheesy

sorry, we told him not to set it off, but he just had to do it!

Wonder if that also accounts for the East Coast earthquake last year-?

Nova Scotia's Shubenacadie Sam predicts early spring.
Pennsylvania's Punxsutawney Phil predicts 6 more weeks of winter.
Ontario's Wiarton Willie predicts an early spring.
2 out of 3 wins, early spring this year.
(not that we had much of a winter yet)

If you told me right now that it was March - based on the weather, I would have to believe you!

They say that there is going to be 6 more weeks of winter. I don't know about anywhere else, but we are still waiting for winter to start here.

We haven't had much of one here either, S-I-T. It has been quite the strange phenomena.

We are still waiting too. It has been a mild, wet "winter" here. We've only had 2 school snow days. A local paper had an article talking about how confused our local wildlife are. Bears, deer, & turkeys have been much more active than normal. A lot of folks keep bird feeders up in the winter for the birds that stay. This year, the bears are getting into them which is very usual for winter.

Seawaters - We are still praying for you. Cancer is a horrible disease. My mother has battled colon cancer, with multiple surgeries, for 10 years. A lady I work with has a 15 year daughter that was just diagnosed with bone cancer.

As I recall it was BINGER who hosted Carl once upon a time that taught him how to drive and JayIsh taught him how to play cards and dance while Crown taught him how to walk a dog. O'Malley the cat and Carl got along well when he visited here. This is the place where he discovered he was a poet.

Ode from a Camel (As told to Auntie Mistletoe from Carl the Camel by way of a Camel Whisperer)

The obvious plan
To frolic wherever I can.
To dream and to be
To dance ‘cause I’m free
To travel around
Where caffeine is found
To socialize with friends
Where the fun never ends
That is the obvious plan.

Auntie, I love your songs! They are great and I think I stand on the cusp of a tradition forming. I think for "shispering idol" wednesdays are a day for sharing poems and/or songs we make. What do ya think?

Great idea about the party in honor of Jennifer's mom. AND you were right!!! Today was definitely better than yesterday!!!

Glad your day was better, and I hope the vino helped the soreness;-)

Live radio show being recorded at the Pines tonight! Really, I'm editing together a Shispering Pines edition of the 'Mistletoe Mix' for MCR as we converge! Plenty of dance and get well/do well/cope tunes for all! Tribute tunes to Etta James & Johnny Otis as well!

I'll upload the show for the schedulers (JayIsh & Jeff) in a bit. I have no idea when/if it will air on MCR or MCR-2.

Stay tuned!

Great playlist Jon, can't wait to hear it!

I am exhausted so I think it is time for me to hit the hay. I have been awake since 6:00 AM which is super early for me considering I haven't been up that early since high school. My mom is home and she is in a lot of pain. They have her neck all bandaged up so the drainage tube doesn't show, it seriously looks like she has a neck brace on. She and I do not like anything touching our necks/throat at all, so I can only imagine how she is dealing with it. She said she just wants to rip it off. I am surprised because she said it is much harder to drink than it is to eat - I thought it would be the opposite! Aside from the discomfort/sore throat/soreness in general, she is doing alright!

I hope you all have a great night! Tomorrow I plan on lighting a Christmas tree scented candle when I watch TV for the night - I miss Christmas so much!

I couldn't help myself, I listened to a couple of carols this evening. Ever since my mom mentioned seeing Christmas lights this morning, it really made me miss the holidays.

I'm right there with you Jennifer on the missing of Christmas, but hey, thats why we have music, movies and more importantly MMC! Also glad your mom is doing well and I hope her soreness subsides.

Good evening,Christmas family

Iliam - I am so sorry about the loss your girlfriend suffered, I know this is late .....
CM3 it's never ever too late and I appreciate it. She along with the family are doing much much better with each passing day!

please say a prayer all works out today for him.

Mistletoe, I'll be praying for you and your son. I hope you get everything figured out.

Good Thursday morning MMC! I just got caught up as I had to leave the Pines early last night. Seems like it was a wonderful time had by all with good food, drink and company. Carl seems like he was up to his normal cheeky tricks.

I just want to say thank you for everyone here. Just reading and catching up this morning put me in the best mood for the day. I'm excited for the rest of the day because all of you. No real reason really with the exception of I love hearing what everyone has to say and I love the Christmas spirit infused in every word written here. So for this I am grateful! Hope your day turns out just as good as I expect mine to be. I'll check back soon!
