Does anybody want to go see Dierks Bentley perform at the Super Bowl Village tonight? We can stand under one of the big heaters hanging above the street.

Did you go to this concert? I've seen him perform in concert now twice. He is AMAZING. I loved every minute of it!

Hey there! I feel the same way!! after Christmas things got so hectic at home and work,I feel like I will never catch up here...I was just thinking how much I miss being around here so much. Hopefully things will slow down for us!! It is times like this I really really miss Christmas and get the blues:(!!

Hey! I am so behind too, but I will get caught up eventually. I have been so busy this back week with work, but I keep telling myself, it will slow down (or at least I hope!) It's nice when the pay check comes!

Hope things slow down for you soon, Dawg!

The friend I am going wig huntin' with just sent me this email. It really had me laughing!!!

Of all the blonde jokes, this one has to be the best -- because it makes football make sense!

A guy took his blonde girlfriend to her first football game. They had great seats right behind their team's bench. After the game, he asked her how she liked it.

"Oh, I really liked it," she replied, "especially the tight pants and all the big muscles, but I just couldn't understand why they were killing each other over 25 cents."

Dumbfounded, her boyfriend asked, "What do you mean?"

"Well, they flipped a coin, one team got it and then for the rest of the game, all they kept screaming was 'Get the quarterback! Get the quarterback!' I'm like...Helloooooo? It's only 25 cents!"

Ooops!!! No offense to the blonds on this forum. I'm one too, at least for now!!!

I just saw something on the News that was so funny, they were talking about the "occupy' movement and in DC it looks like some protesters can't bring a tent because there is no camping in parks..anwhow during the press conference this dude was behind the police officer and making this gobble gobble sound just like a turkey...im telling yall he gave some of yall a run for your money for those here who participated in the "turkey" calling contest we did at thanksgiving...sometimes you have to find humor in the news or it will drive you crazy..
Oh and @MerryCarey-I totally agree with you about the failing grade things...Here in town everyone is outraged because it was not discussed with students or teachers,or parents..it just came home in last weeks mail pack with the students. Brandi said it would be a nightmare for one reason teachers are streched to the limit as it is now they have to find time to give every single student who gets a failing grade as many chances as he/she gets until they finally pass. I really look for this new rule to be reversed because the cummunity is so outraged about it...I think of all the things we are teaching our kids why cant accountablity be one of them!!!I know some students do have a hard time and need special assistance but this is different I thinki it is encouraging some students to be lazy and unnacountable...anyways when I saw the turkey guy on tv I thought about posting about it here since it reminded me of our contest...have a great afternoon everyone!

cah don't get me wrong, i love football. let me tell you why i tend to get a little tired of it by now (except for the super bowl)my son is 19 now but @ 10 yrs. old he began playing. i've been to every game & most practices, participated as team mom, hubby as coach, then in middle school he begins playing for the school. we were @ every game & practice, my daughter cheered, i was @ every practice & game, coached the cheerleaders too. my son was a 4 year starter in high school. we were @ every game. we met our oldest (22 on Tuesday) during this time. later we unofficially adopted him. they both were offensive linemen & were very close. my oldest was being recruited & played in the Shrine bowl. went to s.c.state after graduating on a football scholarship. went to as many games as we could.then 19 yr. old was being recruited, went to all the colleges & universities. my entire family is football crazed. so see i had no choice but to fall in love w/ football.

Sounds like my family! My grandfather, father, and brother were very good at football. My dad actually went to college to play and recieved a scholarship. My dad didn't stick it out too long because he got homesick and came home.

I am hoping my son can follow in their footsteps. My DH didn't play football, but he play basketball and baseball and was awesome.

I blogged Good Riddance 2011 last month, I am beginning to think 2012 is going to be a lousy year if it has started off this way.

Don't think that way! Keep your head up! It will get better.

How are you feeling?

SNOWFLAKE IS HAING MMC TROUBLE AGAIN SO THIS IS FROM HER

Thanks, sugar!! xo

Good morning,

A nice looking day here, just wish there was a coating of snow on the ground though. LC woke up before 5am this morning to run to the bathroom and has been awake since, once he wakes up he doesn't go back to sleep and the rest of us pay for it. I have a great hockey game to watch today, my 2 favorite teams the Bruins and the Penguins play each other. My foot is feeling good this morning, I will be off of it most of the day.

I am missing Christmas today though.......i miss the christmas season everyday there is not a day goes by that i dont think about it in some way...you wood think i loved it lol

Which ones did you like the best?! I always enjoy the Bud Light ones, especially if they have the Clydesdales.

snowflake how do you know it was you i was talking about when i said a lovely lady lol lol think i have to agree with you they are good
its on espn here at 10.30 pm so am gonna watch it if only to see the commerials as i dont understand the game

Lol, I didn't!! But I did know you watched them because you said so! Enjoy the commercials, Doritos has some great ones, too. Any ones with animals are the best!!

I JUST got woke up by Jordan...I had one hour of sleep now I AM wide awake! I am bothered by something that happened today...and the thing is..I never knew and I hate when people have an issue with you and they don't bring it up but take it to another person!!! guys are just as bad as girls when It comes to gossip and stuff like that, they just go about it different, but anyways this guy at work got offended I guess by something I said months ago and he always is nice to me,but another friend of mine told me he came to him and said he was upset, but it's not big deal...well to me it's a big deal because I never meant to offence any one and anyone who knows me knows I would not do it on purpose...but it super miffes me off that he involved another person for no reason...such petty crap to deal with right now,;..so I am just going to ingnore it and think about what I am going to tell this dude...so..I guess that is why I can't sleep..lol have a good night everyone!!!

Hope you got everything figured out. DH says the same thing about gossip with guys at work. He thinks it is worse than girls. He says all the time that he works with a bunch of "girls!"

QUOTE=Seawaters;421531]Have a great night, Snowflake!!! I love the mac and cheese from Hard Rock. When Hubby and I go to any major city, we always go get a T-shirt from HR.
I am at work...got here early and had a good old talk with the dude that "took offense" to something I said....lets just say it is resolved now!:) and it IS going to be a great day indeed!(insert evil laugh)!

Good to hear this! :???:

Oh, how I miss you all! I have had some computer issues (aka my little guy SNAPPED THE HINGES ON MY LAPTOP!!! Now I have to prop it up with a pillow, lol! And our wifi stopped working for awhile, but we're good now!) and I've missed you all!! I can't believe Christmas was over a month ago...and I STILL have my fake tree up in my bedroom! (And my year-round tiny tree is staying up!) When we were driving home from my grandmom's last night, we saw about 10 houses with lights on still! And one house still had a large tree inside, all lit up! It made me sooo happy! :)

I take this time of the year until about July (when we celebrate Christmas in July and I enter FULL Christmas mode!) to scope out deals and go "Christmas hunting" in the mall with my fam... we go to stores and look for anythign Christmasy we can find.. I've gotten some serious deals doing that! :)

I hope everyone is doing well!! There's no way I can catch up all on the posts I've missed but know I think of you all often!

Nice to hear from you! Glad to hear you got your problems worked out!

((((((((SEAWATERS))))))))

jennifer: I'm glad you and your mom are both doing better!

Stacey: enjoy the Crue show!

MerryCarey: no big bowl plans here, just going to make chili

Good afternoon, MMC!

I am enjoying a lazy weekend, mostly because I have not much energy for anything other than doing paperwork for the store. Dinner is in the crock pot - I hunted through my recipes and am making a potato and chicken sausage casserole - totally different then the ingredients the recipe called for, but it was what I had on hand. Smells good!

A Christmas movie sounds lovely - maybe I will put one on after I get the paperwork done. I will back on the computer at 8 for RJD's radio show, The Greasy Skillet.

Have a MERRY day!!!

Thanks, Meceka!! We will, it sounds like it's going to be extra crazy! Hubby surprised me for my 30th birthday by flying my sister & best friend out to Vegas for a Crue show, and I felt old then- ha!! This one is going to make me feel even older, I think, supposed to be quite "theatrical" =)

Enjoy your relaxing evening- dinner sounds delicious! And the Christmas movie & RJD's show too :) Hugs to you, Palmer, and Mouse. xo

Shellie,

Thanks again for your help!! I am up & running again for the time being! xo

:???:

How in the world have I past 17k posts? if everyone here knew how quiet I am in real life no one would ever guess I would have 17,000 posts on a website!! I guess being a christmas nut like I am meeting others like me has brought out the talkative Neal:)I just noticed I past 17k,I always do not notice it until after I pass it though!

Great to hear! Hope things continue to go well!

Well everyone, I am still slowly getting caught up. I've really missed reading the post over the past week, but I will get there.

I'm off to shower now, then it's church at 5 and out to eat with my family (my parents as well) and spend some time with them this evening.

I will be back tonight after getting the kids to bed. Hope you all have a great day/evening! Ttyl! cheesy
