Christmas Countdown - 2012

I guess I should turn on that instead of the News...I am such a News hound though,even if something drives me nuts and makes me upset I still watch the news...I guess I am one of those wierd people that 24 hours news cable shows are made for.!

I use to be the same way, but I got so sick of the bad news and political bickering I quit watching it cold turkey about a year ago or so. I am now addicted to sports highlights and the radio.

hey ya'll. been hanging w/ my man this weekend. got lots done around our home so i feel a little better about the next 2 weeks of work & w/ hubby being gone a few days.
finished all my food for tonight. pinwheel wraps, chicken fries, 7 layer dip, beef/cheese/salsa dip, & birthday cake for my oldest. his birthday was jan.31 but we are just now celebrating it because of work schedules. yaay!
hubby & i went grocery shopping & OMG......prices are crazy on everything. the total was, well i almost fainted.
it's been beautiful here today. news said rain & cold...they were wrong. not sure of the temp but sunshined all day & we had every window in the house up & it felt wonderful.

getting hyped up for the game. hubby likes Giants & oldest son is a pats fan (bless his heart) so it will be noisy in our house tonight. i'll try to check in later. love & hugs to all ya'll!

Wishbone is still doing well regarding his heart and Ivy and Clancy are well too. My two kitties, Smokey and Lily have finally gotten used to Hermione and now ignore her for the most part. Lily is getting fixed next week and though I dread how uncomfortable I know she will be I will be glad that she is fixed. We just went through her first and only heat cycle with her. Yoy !! it was awful !!

Sugar - Are you getting to rest these days ?? I admire you so much !! It takes a special something to be a nurse. I could NEVER do it !

On Jan 9th we finally moved into our first apartment. This will be the first year I am finally in control of decorations for the holidays. I am over joyed with this. I have been looking at photos, buying things on discount and planning the tree. I can't wait to decorate early like an insane (but happy) christmas fiend

I know what you mean...I never ever watched any news until 9/11..I happened to be at home that day of course you could not escape it no matter what channel you had it on,after that it was a matter of watching the news as a way to find out any info on if we were going to get hit again,,,it was like that for a year or so,but by that time I was addicted.lol and your right I remember stopping the news for a few months in the last 10 years due to the political bickering being so bad It was affecting my moods!!! if it gets that bad I will stop watching,I sometimes watch true crime stories on the ID channel but after watching too much of that you become jaded and think of everyone as a murderer or suspect! I need to read I guess...of course at Christmas time I watch hallmark 24/7..I wish they had a year around Christmas movie channel!

I just ate another chicken Fajita and I was already full so now I am plain misrable...One word and sin comes to my mind right now...gluttony!!! I think I will roll my way down the hall and go to bed because I have to get up early in the morning. I am taking them to an indoor playscape place, and then Burger King for dinner. I will be exhausted by them tonight.

My 86 year old grandpa is visiting at my house. He told us that when he left the grocery store today and walked to his car, someone was sitting in it!! Who does that?!?! Sheesh - we're lucky someone didn't mug him.

I gave all my students a letter to take home today that explained the cancer situation in my life. Three parents came by after school. One just outright cried. The other two had tears in their eyes when they said for me to call them for ANYTHING!!! For some reason, I am tired; and I need to rest up for wig "hunting" tomorrow, unless Bradmac will do that for me!!! Haha!!! Truthfully, though, I don't want any singed hair!!! TTYL.

You're such an amazing person! I hope the shopping was a success.

oh yeah hubby came home yesterday & said he doesn't think he's going to China. a few @ work discussed it & decided he's needed much more here.

Just got done eating pizza and chipotle chicken - so good! We decided we'd order before the big game so we'd actually get our food at a decent time. Now I am stuffed! My dad bought two kinds of ice cream for me today so I might have to go run around on commercials so I burn my pizza and get hungry for junk food lol!
