Good morning all. Congrats to the Giants and all their fans!!!!

I saw an article that someone flipped the bird during the Halftime show, it wasn't Madonna. NBC tried to stop it by blurring the screen for a second but they were too late. I didn't see the finger but I remember the picture getting messed up for a second. I did see Madonna almost fall at one time though, and I agree with some of you that said she was lip syncing.

Well I have jury duty today :x, I have to get ready for that. Hope everyone has a great day!

Good luck at Jury Duty, SIT. Is this your first day?
I have to go in a couple of months

Good Morning, Folks.

A new week begins.
Another leg in the journey to our wonderful destination, Christmas Season 2012!

And to mark the progress of our voyage, there is this:
Days to the Season: 281
Days to Christmas Day: 323
February 12 -- under a week away now -- the 25 percent marker to the Christmas Season!
(Movin' right along, aren't we?)

Cold here this morning (34 degrees) but at least we have started with sun this time and the promise of clear days for the remainder of the work week coupled with highs in the mid to upper 50's.
I'll take it!

Anyway. You have a Marvelous Monday in the spirit of the Christmas Season, my Friends!

Good Morning, friends!!

Didn't have a chance to stop in yesterday, but just wanted to wish you all a happy day!!

Did you enjoy the Superbowl?

I'll catch up on the countdown tonight

Hope Monday is good to you!!

Good Morning MMC!!!!!! It's going to be a chilly day here in central Indy with a high in the low 40's. I'm dragging this morning after staying until 2am to watch all of the local postgame coverage. I don't have anything to do today though so maybe I'll squezze a nap in later. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!

Good morning MMC! Just crawled into bed. I'm so tired and ready for a good sleep. Nothing is new here. Just another busy night at work.

Well, I will ttyl. Off to dreamland I go! Hope you all have a great day!

The last few minutes of the Super Bowl were intense! Good game and congratulations to all Giants fans!

As far as half time show, I have always liked a few songs by Madonna and thought she did good for being 53 years old. Before she came out on stage I told Wayne if she starts to roll around on the stage acting sleazy singing, Like a Virgin, at her age I am going to throw up! Ha ha! I am glad she didn't!

Again I don't have time to look over the Countdown. I am really behind but will catch up sometime. =)

Have a great Monday everyone!!! :!!

Monday morning ... still waking up.

I am leaving in about an hour to take my mom to the doctor appointment with the surgeon. She will find out if she has cancer or not today and she will also get her stitches removed. Although the biopsy at the hospital showed the thyroid was benign, they sent it away for better testing - so we will get those results today.

My fingers are crossed and my hopes are high!

Yay I won't be getting a gloating phone call from my friend tomorrow.! I am glad the Giants won...and glad to be looking forward to baseball season now!!!! I could not sleep so I got up to read and let snowball outside I did not get up fast enough and he had an accident on the kitchen floor...at least he always goes to the hard wood floor instead of the carpet when he has "accidents" okay will try to go to sleep again! goodnight everyone!

13 days until pitchers and catchers report for the Red Sox, I am a little leery of them this season though, too many holes right now.

I know what you mean...I never ever watched any news until 9/11..I happened to be at home that day of course you could not escape it no matter what channel you had it on,after that it was a matter of watching the news as a way to find out any info on if we were going to get hit again,,,it was like that for a year or so,but by that time I was addicted.lol and your right I remember stopping the news for a few months in the last 10 years due to the political bickering being so bad It was affecting my moods!!! if it gets that bad I will stop watching,I sometimes watch true crime stories on the ID channel but after watching too much of that you become jaded and think of everyone as a murderer or suspect! I need to read I guess...of course at Christmas time I watch hallmark 24/7..I wish they had a year around Christmas movie channel!
Yes! I don't watch the news at all during the holidays. I'm in my truck a lot, usually listening to politcal talk radio, but not during the holidays. It's all Christmas music starting 2 weeks before Thanksgiving. I wish MCR was broadcast on Sirius/XM!

Good morning, MMC! I hope you all have a good Monday back at work/school and that it flies by for you.

I am leaving in about an hour to take my mom to the doctor appointment with the surgeon. She will find out if she has cancer or not today and she will also get her stitches removed. Although the biopsy at the hospital showed the thyroid was benign, they sent it away for better testing - so we will get those results today.

After the appointment I'm going to come home, print a few things, and head to class. Going to be a bit of a hectic day, but maybe that'll make my Monday fly by quickly.

Have a good one!!
I expect you guys are confident but nervous. I pray you'll get confirmation of the earlier benign results!

Sorry about the jury duty thing, and I didn't agree with Madonna being the half-time show, either. They needed some ROCK-n-ROLL!!

I was really just posting to say that I love you sig picture!

Good morning,

Congrats to the Giants an their fans. I caught a few minutes of the game, but I was just not into it with no rooting interest. LC woke up in the middle of the night screaming with a bellyache again last night, so I will be taking him to the doctor this afternoon to make sure he is okay. Not much more planned for today.

Have a good day!

Just tell them you think drugs should be legal and everyone else should be taken out behind the court house and shot.;-)

I hope he feels better soon!!!

Good morning, Christmas friends. It is chilly here in northern California. I am only working half a day since I have to meet with STRS (State Teachers Retirement) to see about retiring. Tomorrow I will be off all day to go to the breast reconstruction doctor and to my oncologist. I hope we can get this show on the road and be done with it. At least I know my oncologist is not "cut happy"!!! As much as you can, have a great day. Good luck to your mom, Jennifer!!!

NO CANCER!!!!!
My mom's surgery just finished up, all went well. The surgery went quicker than anticipated. She has to stay until the early evening so they can monitor her, but then she can come home!

.

Doctors should not be allowed to put families on emotional roller coasters. Unless they ate 100% certain they need to make you wait until all the tests are in.
Will continue to pray for great test results.

I can absolutely 100% say that there is no cancer for my mom. We are both very relieved and so is my entire family! Now it looks like she can FINALLY relax. The only problem is my mom is extremely tired since her surgery and her head is in a major fog. The surgeon has no clue what that could be from and he has never heard of anyone being like that. He said it is unlikely it is still the anesthesia, but it still may be possible. The only other thing is that she had a nausea patch on from the surgery and took it off a couple of days ago, apparently that could cause disorientation and those symptoms. Whatever it is, we hope it goes away soon and then she should be good to go!

I just hope all of this doctor stuff is done. It's not fun worrying. Going to constant appointments and having to worry about results is seriously the worst. Health is more important than anything! Thank you all again for keeping my mom in your prayers, I said a big long prayer last night and included everyone. You have all been so nice and I love talking to you!

Seawaters, I will continue to pray that all goes well for you!

My mom is letting me miss my first class and just hang out since I drove her to her appointment and to get the bloodwork done. He made a list of lots of bloodwork to check that everything is okay from having the surgery done and because she feels so crappy.

This Monday better fly by!

I am so glad to hear that, I hope the fogginess goes away soon. Did the Dr say it could be caused by the stress of this situation?
I know when we had the tornado rip through my town last year, I felt like I was in a fog for weeks afterward just by the stress of the that situation, and seeing the destruction, and knowing how close it was to our house and being lucky it missed us.

Thank you! He didn't say anything about stress, instead he seemed surprised that she was experiencing the fogginess and almost skeptical. He said it is very unlikely it is from the patch or the anesthesia because it is almost a week after surgery, but he didn't eliminate the possibilites completely.

That is awful about the tornado ripping through your town. I can only imagine how horrible that had to be seeing all of the destruction and knowing the proximity to your house. I know I feel awful when I see any sort of destruction on TV, I wouldn't even know what to do in that situation being so close to it! I am so glad that the tornado missed your house. No wonder you were in such a fog - every day had to be a constant reminder of what happened!

Congratulations. That is fantastic news! All the best to your mom! A healthy and happy recovery for everyone!

I agree. But, I guess that football fans are going to watch the halftime show regardless. And, of course, Madonna is an easy way to attract the casual/outside fan. At least she wasn't as terrible as the Black Eye Peas.
