Re-reading my post I only criticized one teacher who was rude during a meeting and walked out in the middle of it. It caught everyone off guard because it came out of nowhere. Not cool.

I have liked every teacher that my children have had except this one was hard to communicate with. I think highly of teachers and have always had a good relationship with majority of them.

Sorry if I came across as "teacher bashing" and offended anyone. That was never my intent. I am just proud that my son overcame the one and only teacher that didn't believe in him. I am proud of his efforts and what he has accomplished.

Again, I thank all teachers for their hard work! cheesy

I do not blame you at all for your comments. I have had a few teachers who were honestly awful. That is not saying that I am anti-teacher or that I disrespect anyone that is a teacher, but I haven't had good experiences and neither has my brother. Some people are amazing teachers, however. They are extremely passionate, kind, helpful, genuine, and really want the kids to learn. For most of my schooling, I didn't have this.

My first grade teacher was one of the meanest people I ever met. My mom had a serious surgery that year and I remember I was crying during the pledge of allegiance and she told me to suck it up and shut up. Being a six year old, that was extremely rude and hard to take. She used to keep kids who didn't cut perfectly in at recess. I remember the one time I didn't cut something out to her liking and she screamed and screamed and made me cut over and over and over.

Now my second grade teacher was the absolute worst. My mom had another surgery that year and this woman was just RUDE. My mom talked to her ahead of time so the woman would be nice to me and she was just plain rotten. The one day she told me she knew my dad did my hair because it was messy. Gee, thanks. Then she accused me of cheating this one time because I looked over at the clock. She used to scream so loud at my class that kids three rooms down would hear. She didn't care if we learned or not.

My English teacher in the seventh grade was also awful. She used to write rude comments on people's papers such as, "Dumb sentence." "What were you thinking?" Like you don't do that to a kid's paper, you should be explaining what they need to do in order to fix it.

All of my teachers in high school were too involved in drama and gossip and didn't care about teaching us anything. I had maybe three good teachers in high school and that was it. I had the best luck in middle school with teachers who just focused on teaching.

That being said, I understand your rant. I am not bashing teachers in general, just a couple that I have had. There are so many great people that I know looking for jobs in teaching and it's a shame because some of the ones around here are extremely mediocre and don't care about students really learning.

Whew finally got though the countdown. I missed you all this weekend/beginning of the week. I haven't been able to checkin since Friday! It's been a rough one but pales in comparison to what many of you of you are going through.

My little girl(Lily, 6 month old golden doodle) was spayed yesterday. I had a restless night sleep taking care of her as she was not doing well. I took today off so that I could take care of her Whitley girlfriend studied. She's doing better but we have to be real careful that she doesn't get too riled up. We don't want her breaking open her wound. I'll grab my phone and post a before and after. She looks rather comical with her cone.

Jennifer glad to hear your mom is doing well and that there is no cancer.

(((Seawaters)))) keep up your high Christmas spirit!

Everyone else glad to see you're doing well and for those that are sick get feeling better!

Good evening,

Everyone is asleep, I am watching the cheezy Brady Bunch movie from the early 90's, nothing else is on tonight. We did have a yummy dinner of Porterhouse steak, and homemade strawberry shortcake for dessert, I love it when the local grocery store has great sales. I don't remember the last time I cooked on the grill in February, maybe 8-9 years ago when we had a covered porch on our apartment. I am having a terrible "I miss Christmas" night, I guess it's only 10.5 months away, decorations go up in 9 so I guess it's not that bad.

I will bid you all adieu, have a great night.

Well my wife mentioned how well her son (my step-son) did in college and already has a job. I just wanted to chime in and say how proud of him I am. I have only known him for 8 of his 21 years, but I have seen such growth in him in that time, but especially when he started going to college and now that he will be working soon. I will admit that I am a little surprised, not how well he did in college, I know he is smart, I was just afraid he wouldn't stick with it. But he not only stuck with it, he went above and beyond what he needed to do. My wife mentioned that he struggled with algebra, well he wasn't satisfied with just squeaking by, he did everything he could to try to get an A. He ended up with a B, which I told him that was great considering how much he struggled with it, but he was disappointed.

Yes she was telling us and you should be proud as well as you have been part of his life to and helping him along. Wood you tell him to get a b in something he strugged with is brillant an A in anything is really hard to get
He deserves credit as he seems to have worked hard ok somtimes with a push but sure we all need a push sometimes good luck to him in his new job so lucky to get one so quick

oh iliam i'm sorry your little lily is not recovering as well as hoped. ya' know that's a rather yucky feeling & she looks young so her little tummy is probably doing flips from the anesthesia & what little one doesn't want to move around? bless her heart & bless you for taking such good care of her!!

tex you've all raised a fine young man. i don't like the title of "step" myself. my oldest daughter (from another mother) knows it too. he's your son (from another father). when my daughter & i introduce each other, of course we don't say what's in parentheses, just mama or daughter. i mean we know what we are.probably no big deal to you but you know we women can be sensitive. lol. anyhoo, i would be shouting from the rooftops...which i'm sure ya'll are. i can't imagine his excitement as he graduates. wow!!!!

dawg, i hate you are so worried. remember you're not the one on trial, even though it feels like it up there. you will not sound stupid in your responses silly!there are no right or wrong answers for you. bless your heart. this is undue stress you don't need! honestly, you probably won't be asked a whole lot of questions. they have all come to court & few they ask questions to & others they don't even call up. i think they have everyone come for a "just in case" thing. take care dawg!

happy Pines Day ya'll!!

Good morning! Hope you're all having a nice day so far! I had a great night at work and now I'm ready for an even better day of sleep. It's my day off!!! Yahh!!!

We're supposed to get 2 to 4 inches of snow, so I guess we will see.

Well, ttyl. I will catch up here on little later on.

Good Morning everyone!

I just heard from MsChristmas and she wanted me to pass along that the surgery went well and thanks for all your thoughts and prayers. She is resting up and hopes to be back on here soon!

Good Morning MMC!!!!!!!!! It's going to be a cold here in central Indy today and the big snow storm last night only produced a dusting. I have to go babysit this afternoon and then my sister wants me to help her do her taxes. I also need to run by the grocery store because I'm out of peanut butter and that amounts to an emergency here. After all of that I'll be heading to the pines. I can't wait to see that Carl has come up with this week. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!
