Good Morning everyone!

I just heard from MsChristmas and she wanted me to pass along that the surgery went well and thanks for all your thoughts and prayers. She is resting up and hopes to be back on here soon!

Thanks for giving us an update. I was thinking of her this morning.

Good Morning, Everyone.

Rise, shine and smell the fired twinkies baking!
Which reminds me -- big news from the 'Pines!
More about that later.

First, the count:
Days to the Season: 279
Days to Christmas Day: 321
Barely over half a week off now from the one quarter Season mark!

Still chillier this morning at 34 degrees, 3 degrees colder than yesterday.
But it's calm and beautifully sunny with little chance of precipitation.

Alright!
In a press release from none other than Carl himself, and in an unprecedented move, it has been decided to move next week's open house back one day to Tuesday to coincide with Valentines Day!
And what a bash Carl has planned! You don't want to miss it.
Special fired twinkes, super decorations, new coffee blend.
It will all be there.

For today, though, enjoy the 'Pines' standard open house complete with the usual first free fired twinkie and glass/cup of the beverage of your choice.
See you there!

Have a Wonderful Wednesday and a Happy Hump Day while enjoying a Perfect Pines Day, Friends!

I also need to run by the grocery store because I'm out of peanut butter and that amounts to an emergency here. After all of that I'll be heading to the pines. I can't wait to see that Carl has come up with this week. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hmm... Do you think Carl should make a Peanut Butter Coffee Blend?

.....Crown and Binger....A big thank you to you both for what you bring to this forum .....Every time I drink a cup of tea I always say "Here's to Crown" and every time I am getting ready to sit down and work my shift I always have a nice hot cup of coffee and dedicate it to you Binger !!.....
Awww!
Blessed be the peacemakers.

tex you've all raised a fine young man. i don't like the title of "step" myself. my oldest daughter (from another mother) knows it too. he's your son (from another father). when my daughter & i introduce each other, of course we don't say what's in parentheses, just mama or daughter. i mean we know what we are.probably no big deal to you but you know we women can be sensitive. lol. anyhoo, i would be shouting from the rooftops...which i'm sure ya'll are. i can't imagine his excitement as he graduates. wow!!!!

You are right, I usually do refer to him as my son, I guess I just wanted to be clear that I am not his biological father, although I couldn't be prouder of him if I was his actual father.

My dad just gave us some good news, he is going to try to stop smoking. He has been smoking for almost forty years, so it's about time. He has a really bad cough from it.

Keep him in your thoughts for good luck. He tried before and successfully stopped for 2 months but then he started again. I really hope he quits for good this time.

I'll say a prayer for him.

My little girl(Lily, 6 month old golden doodle) was spayed yesterday. I had a restless night sleep taking care of her as she was not doing well. I took today off so that I could take care of her Whitley girlfriend studied. She's doing better but we have to be real careful that she doesn't get too riled up. We don't want her breaking open her wound. I'll grab my phone and post a before and after. She looks rather comical with her cone.
I'd love to see a picture of your golden doodle. We have a cockapoo, and she is great! She ride with me everywhere I go!

ETA: nevermind; I should have read further. Thanks!

I just watched that show Heat Seekers again, and now I want to try the Satan's Tongue hot fried chicken, it's at a restaurant in Nashville, so I need to add that to a proverbial bucket list.

That doesn't sound very appetizing to me.

Good Luck at your appointment today!!!!!

Happy Pinesday to everyone! Haven't had my morning tea yet, and I need it to clear the fog.

MerryCarey... How are you ?? I hope you are well.

We're doing well (although Mr. still hasn't completely lost the cough he got from his cold a few weeks back ...). I got some good news/bad news on the estate front this week. The bad news is that the executrix refuses to produce estate account documents on the grounds that they may incriminate her ... pretty near proof that she has taken the liquid assets. The good news is, there are now sufficient grounds for having her removed as executrix, which will get us one step further toward finally settling the estate. What a mess. Dad's been gone since October 2010, and I don't feel as though either of us can rest easy until this is settled.

See you there!

Will he make a formal announcement tonight, as a follow-up to the press release? Sounds like quite an event in the works!

Make sure you get someone to take pictures because we want to see that!!!!!

Never mind the pictures ... I'd like to see VIDEO of that!

It's Charles Dickens' 200th birthday ... hooray for the author of "A Christmas Carol"!

If the Nook Tablet is anything like the Kindle Fire, you'll have to restrain yourself. The Fire makes it too darn easy to browse and shop for books, music, and movies online, and WAY too easy to buy instantly. I'm grateful that I'm not the impulsive type! But I'm getting spoiled by having movies, music, books, apps (including Tapatalk), and games all in one tablet.

Happy Belated Birthday to Mr. Dickens!!!!!!!!!

Amazon's one click buying is bad. I find myself buying apps all the time just because they look cool.

Sunday afternoon before the big game, we went to the grocery store to get some chips & dip. As I was driving out of the parking lot, another car backed out a parking place and hit the side of Nancy's car! I was so mad, I was stomping around the car looking at the damage and grumbing out loud. Grrrr! Then the other driver got out, and she was a little 16 year old girl who had just gotten her license, and she crying uncontrollably and apologizing. Then I felt bad for raising so much sand after it happened. So, Nancy and I wound up consoling her till her mother arrived, then she started crying harder! Oh, well. I told her that these things happen, and that I had caused a few fender benders in my time, too. She finally settled down, and I taped some plastic in the window hole (IN NANCY'S NEW CAR!!! GRRR!!!), and we went home. Today I have to drive it to Statesboro to the auto body guy to get an estimate.

At least no one got hurt. EXCEPT OUR NEW CAR!!! GRRRR! :x

That's a bummer but I'm glad no one got hurt. I hope you can get it fixed quickly.

OH I Needed this smile today :) I hope you are ALL DOING GREAT! I am hoping this mom of two thing starts to be less busy - as awesome as it is.. I am TIRED ;)

I hope to also get in here more often :)

Good morning,

Not much to report this morning, just waiting for my Dr. appt. I'm a little nervous about what he will tell me, my foot is feeling a little better, but probably not well enough to go back to work. Still waiting on word about my short term disability, I guess it is better than nothing at this point.

Have a good day!

I was exhausted yesterday when I arrived home from the doctor. It was about 5:45 p.m. My surgery date has been set with pre-op the week before. The pre-op is a week earlier in case I develop any infections between now and then. I have to be infection-free prior to surgery. The surgery will take about five hours, maybe a little longer. The reconstruction will take place pretty much at the same time, well, just a little after the mastectomies. My last day of school for this school year will be February 28. Since this process of chemo and reconstruction will take quite a while, I may have to work until December 2012 after all. Darn it!!! But I need the insurance! I hope everyone has a great day. CAH and SIT, you guys have SO MUCH to be proud of!!! Like I said, I wish your son had been in my class!!!
