The weather man got it right. We had a couple of inches of snow Saturday night, just like was forecast. Temp was 16 when I left for work this morning and the forecast is for another inch or so of snow tonight. Sad to say the forecast also calls for a return of the warmer weather starting Wed with highs in the lower 50s.

Thanks for the prayers and kind thoughts for my mom. She visits the doctor tomorrow and should be having a biopsy and PEP scan soon.

Hope everyone has a great day.
Oh well. No snow for me next weekend. That's ok. As long as I'm in the mountains!

I'm praying for your mom!

Good morning, Christmas family. It is a little chilly and damp here in northern California. My long-term sub is coming to my classroom after school today so I can show her where everything is and give her tips on classroom behavior. I was able to get everything copied except for the weekly assessments. I had them copied, but the other teachers decided that that was too much copying and opted for shorter tests. Oh, well, it's only time!!! I am also going to call my (previous) plastic surgeon and set up an appointment for the INT. I hope you all have a great first-of-the-week.

Ballcoach, you never did tell us your personal countdown (unless I missed it!!!). I think it has something to do with Halloween, if I remember correctly.

Well I made it to lunch time! So far this has not been a bad Monday at all though. It was hard to get up this morning because it was so warm under the covers! We are eating subway take out at work today and I ordered a philly cheese steak and am waiting for it to get here. It was 23F when I got here at work this morning but it has warmed up already to 45F high today should be 59F and 40 % chance of rain tomorrow with highs back in the 60's. So I am willing to bet this last little cold shot will be it for this winter..Bring on 2012 fall/winter it has to be better than this past one! have a good midday everyone!

Good morning, MMC!

I hope this finds everyone well!

A sunny day is on tap for mid-Michigan, but it is still very cold out. The outdoor cats are sunning themselves on the vehicles when they aren't chasing each other up and down the black walnut trees - they are so funny to watch when they are playing! There have been numerous sightings of robins in the area - I usually don't see my first one until the middle of March, so I do believe a very early spring is here.

Today I am organizing and cleaning - which is a code for hunting for that one particular piece of glass I need for the store

Have a most MERRY Monday!!!

I went to work yesterday and felt terrible all day. As most of you know I work with animals. I have this awful cold and being around multiple animals really got me sneezing. My boss let someone else take over to clean up cages and kept me out of the pet shop. I work the counter and do office work too. He saw I was feeling rough and let me sit in the office for awhile to do some computer work.

I got home to a wonderful surprise of flowers and a Beatles CD as SIT mentioned to you all. He is so sweet! That really cheered me up!

I am still dealing with the cold but I think I will be okay.

As SIT mentioned my son started his first day at his new job right in the middle of Downtown Dallas in a skyrise building. He has to dress in business clothes. I never thought I would see the day that he would not be wearing jeans and a t-shirt. He was excited!

I hope you feel better soon, dear friend xoxo I HATE colds !! Congratulations again to your son. I am sure he will do very well. xo

Good Morning Everyone!!!!!! It's a chilly morning here in central Indy with snow headed are way. They are saying we will get an inch or two so we'll probably end up getting a dusting. I feel like I'm so far behind on here. I've tried to keep up with the countdown but I haven't been able to keep up with the rest of the site. Hopefully I can get caught up sometime this week. I have a lot of running to do today though. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know what you mean, Made !! I feel like I am hardly ever on site any more but once I get my laptop back (at the end of the month) I am hoping to be here more !! Praying for your little niece and your mother's job hunting luck xo

Good morning MMC family,

Just a quick hello to wish everyone a merryl Monday. Today is going to be rather busy but I'm excited for tonight. My girlfriend and I are going out to celebrate Valentines day so we don't have to deal with the crowds tomorrow. We'll still go to a romantic movie tomorrow but hopefully at an off time. I hope you all have a great day!

That sounds wonderful !! And so wise in order to avoid the crowds !! Hugs to you and your girlfriend and of course sweet Lily xo

I am so sorry your mother has to go through this. I am praying for her as well. Nobody should ever have to deal with cancer let alone twice. I think you said she was having a PEP scan....could that be a PET scan ?? I am a transcriptionist and I don't know what a PEP scan is, however, a PET scan stands for positron emission tomography. Whatever she is having, I hope it is NEGATIVE....(((Hugs)))))

Good afternoon dear Christmas family

Today is my Monday like most people. Since they switched my schedule I am a Monday through Friday person like most. I miss my Sunday through Thursday schedule and I think I am going to ask them how long this Monday through Friday thing will continue. I don't want to upset them as this is such an AMAZING company to work for but Good Friday is a day I usually attend church services in honor of our Lord's suffering and if I am working that day I will not get to "be" with Him that day (at least that is how I look at it).

I am so, so afraid we are going to owe big time on taxes this year. I wish I knew the calculation to figure out if we are going to owe. I am the STUPIDEST person on earth when it comes to math.

Jennifer - How is your mother ?? Praying she will be back to herself soon.

Sugar - I hope that ear infection feels better soon, what a yucky thing. You poor thing. It just seems like one thing after the other.

Lauriebear- Your hiking trip sounds like it was wonderful. There is nothing like appreciating nature.

Snowflake - How are you ? and how is my little "niece" Harlowe doing ?? Clancy, Wishbone, Ivy, Hermione, Smokey and Lily send their love xo

Meceka - (((Hugs)))) to you too my dear friend and hugs to Palmer and Mouse and Bo and all the outdoor babies xo

CAH and SIT another BIG congratulations on your son !! He sounds like an amazing young man !! xo

Binger - Isn't about time for another opera soon !!??? Nobody writes an opera like you !! xo

You all should see my baby. My Hermione is now nearly 20 pounds and not yet three months old. She is looking like a Bloodhound more and more every day rather than Golden Retriever. Still working on potty training of course and working on teaching not to be so mouthy/nippy. She seems to have melted everyone' s hearts here. Even Ivy, our Chihuahua who is a bit of a bossy personality, has sort of taken Hermione under her wing. Smokey and Lily, our two kitties, just kind of look at Hermione as if to say "What are you and why are you so wiggly ?" Neither of them had ever seen a puppy before Hermione.

I hope everyone has a good day and are feeling well or better soon.

Seawaters - I have your "something special" for you if only I could get to the post office to mail it !! xoxo

(((((HUGS))))))) everyone from me, Clancy, Ivy, Wishbone, Hermione, Smokey, and Lily and also to Ella, Snickers, Harlowe, Snowball, Gomez, Penny, Chico, Daisy, Scooby, Sasha, and all furkids and even non-furkid animals who are out there xoxo

Took our son to his first day at his new job, he starts his training today. Hopefully the start of a long and prosperous career.

My mom is FINALLY back to her regular self! Thank you for keeping her in your thoughts and prayers! Apparently whatever was in her system just needed some time to get out!

Good afternoon, everyone!

Seems that I missed yesterday's milestone! I meant to chime in, but I somehow became overcome with a few other things. Too bad. Looks like I missed a good time. A Milestone is always a good time. I can't wait for the next one! Only 15 more days until 300 days until Christmas Day! Hooray!

The weekend was a nice and relaxing one for me. Something that myself and bank account needed. Kim and I stayed in on Friday night. Saturday morning, I went to the gym for a couple hours and worked out with a few people I haven't seen in a couple of months. It was fun! Saturday night, we went to the movies. I unknowingly agreed to go see "The Vow" with her a couple weeks ago, so we saw that. I have a tendency to enjoy most movies for what they are worth... and The Vow wasn't half bad. There were some funny parts. Of course, Rachel McAdams always helps, too! :)

Kim and I were suppose to go skating yesterday, but it was about -24c with windchill. Kim voted against the decision. Hopefully we can go next weekend. Instead, I was able to complete some homework and relax once again. Oh, and make some delicious ribs for dinner. I had to go easy on the eating of the ribs though, thanks to a flag football game last night. We had our first win of the season, too! Finally!

I guess it really was a relaxing but busy weekend. Fun times! I hope you all enjoyed yourselves, too. I have some posts to get caught up with! Have a wonderful Monday! We're really closing in. It's already the 7th week of the year. Only 45 remain!

I'm dreading them as well. We will probably owe in too, the question is how much?!

Good Monday morning, my Christmas friends!

I had to drive Nancy's bent-up car to nearby Statesboro to the reapir shop. The driver's window won't roll up, I had to tape a trash bag in the window. It was 17° F when I left this morning! But the wind on the trash bag made it FLAP FLAP FLAP so loud, I was almost bonkers after 30 minutes of that. My mom picked me up, then Nancy called, wanted me to go by WalMart while I was in Statesboro...grrr. I'm finally back at work!

We're supposed to go to the mountains this weekend, so hopefully they'll have our car ready by then.

I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy

Sounds like you really enjoyed that stop at Wal-Mart, Brad! What a wonderful morning!! :)

Happy Monday!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hope you all have a fantastic day!!!!!!

=)

For once I'm glad it's Monday. I was out of work sick again on Thursday and Friday, and I was getting a little sick of being stuck at home. At least I can watch the patients go by my desk here, and get a little change of scenery. I hope everyone else is staying well; there seem to be a lot of colds and stomach virus going around right now. Hopefully with the colder weather yesterday and today, some of those germs will die off.

Have a great Monday, and hopefully everyone will stay well.

I( am stuffed! Now I remember why I never eat much at lunch! Oh well...I am skipping dinner tonight because I am sure I will be too nervous to eat, this time tomorrow hopefully I will be on the way home from court...this is really really making me nervous,BUT I am not as frieked out as I thought I would be. Yeah I am nervous but it will help no one if I hyperventilate(sp)!!!! I will just do the best I can with the questions I am asked..I swear my buddy better appreciate me for this!lol I am suppose to be testifying with the hopes of helping him out. His wife did him wrong and cheated on him and did alot of harmful things...I just hope he finds peace..Iam so grateful I did not have this bad of a divorce with my first wife,we kept it peaceful..well pretty much...Hope everyone has a good afternoon!!! We are almost done with Monday!

Remember, Folks.

The Shispering Pines open house is moved back in the week one day to tomorrow to coincide with Valentines Day!

Get ready for Carl's big V-Day bash!

AMEN to that.

Having lived as one of us, He understands having to work for a living. He knows where your heart is ... that's where He'll find you.

For the work you do at home, do they withhold taxes? If not, maybe you should pay quarterly taxes to avoid getting hit big-time in April. Mr. does some freelance work, and I keep track of what comes in and pay quarterly federal and state taxes if he gets a significant amount of freelance work in a particular quarter. Our"tax lady" gave us the percentage number.

My mom is FINALLY back to her regular self! Thank you for keeping her in your thoughts and prayers! Apparently whatever was in her system just needed some time to get out!

So glad to hear that---it's so awful when something's wrong and you can't find a way to "fix" it. I'm glad it went away on its own.
