Sitting here now watching race coverage....looks a little gloomy in Daytona....

Going to catch up from yesterday.....see ya in a few...

Good Morning, Everyone!

Crossing over the mid-point of our weekend, we are confronted with this:
Days to the Season: 261
Days to Christmas Day: 303
Hey!
UNDER half a week off now from the the 300-day Christmas Day Window.

Chiller here this morning, where we started off just below freezing under calm, clear skies.
We should reach the low to mid 50's by this afternoon with no precipitation in signt.

Will you have a Super Sunday?
Time will tell.
With the magic of the Christmas Season as your guide, I predict success in that regard!

Wow is right!!! Who would have thought that the 11th place car going in to turn 4 would have won. I saw an interesting fact this morning. Out of the 79 cars in the truck and nationwide race, 65 of them were involved in wrecks.

Gloomy is right. It think it's going to be a long day.

By the way Xmas365, we were talking about the Lawnmower/Frankenstein dance one of the kids is doing on Charlie Brown Christmas dance scene. Our son said he always thought it was "The Zombie" LOL.

Made,
Go to my facebook page and look at the Maxine cartoon from yesterday on racing. I didn't know how to insert it here. I thought about you when I read it. I also like the one about an Oscar from today.

Good Morning MMC!!!!!! It's going to be a sunny day here in central Indy with a high near 50 degrees. I only have one thing on my agenda for today. Racing. I'll be watching all of the prerace coverage this morning and then hopefully a race this afternoon. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hear, hear!!!

A good time was had in the Greasy Skillet last night as always. It would be awesome if more could join us on Facebook and join in on the fun. It might not be your style of music (bluegrass) but it is fun to listen to and chat with everyone. I'm not into that style of music myself, but it is broadening my appreciation and knowledge of music as well. RJD does an awesome job hosting the show!!

Love the animated graphic! Now I can see all the dances!!!

To add to what SIT said about The Greasy Skillet Show. It would not be music I would listen to on a regular basis but the most of the songs I never heard of are interesting and some have comical titles and/or lyrics! Hearing RJD's commentary between sets of music is well worth it and give you a smile. I also look forward to the shout outs and that southern accent is awesome!

I'm not on Facebook, and I spend my Saturday evenings with Mr., so I don't join in the communal fun---but I've heard some of the Greasy Skillet broadcasts and I heartily concur with all the above recommendations! Listen in when you can! There are even online recording apps that can save it for you to listen to later in the week. (Note to self: Remember to set up the recording time next week, you dope!)

Bright and sunny, cold and windy today! Nothing much going on here, which is a good thing, because I slept terribly last night. I just finished a website update and will probably do some laundry and some grocery shopping. (Exciting, huh?)

We'll probably run some movies later on in honor of the Oscars (we want "The Artist" to win everything---what a great movie!), but we won't be watching the awards. We usually run something that never saw an Oscar nomination, or obscure vintage films that were nominated for awards.

I am going to google The Artist to see what it's about. Hubby and I don't go to the movies often. The closest one is a little over 45 minutes away.

And i thought my town was way behind. we might not have much else but we have a movie house. lol

Great siggy!

I guess it is in the eye of the beholder

I see Linus & Sally doing the grape stomp.

The curly red haired girl the bail out the canoe

The girl in the green dress is "puttin on the deodorant."

I can't think of anymore right now.
