The 300-Day Window to Christmas 2012 has been thrown wide and the view of double 200's is great!

Join Carl and crew today for a fun-filled visit to our friendly resort of choice.
Don't know exactly what parlor game Mr. C has planned but apparently it involves jumping through the 'Pines' French windows to capture something with 200's in it.
(Do you think the door prize could be $200? Or better yet, double-$200??)

It just keeps getting warmer here in the morning.
We are starting today at 49 degrees with the threat of rain.
(Seems like warmer weather almost inevitably brings rain with it this time of year.)

Well I posted a few days ago that I was in the market for a new car, I also said I was going to wait until near the end of the year. Well I just couldn't wait!!! After some research and online searching, and agonizing if I should do it now, I did find a pretty good deal on a 2009 Toyota Camry. I was afraid that if I didn't jump on this I would regret it. I know it is a very dependable car and has the highest safety rating, and will be much better on gas than my Grand Prix was. I have mixed emotions about the whole thing, I love the car, and am happy with it overall, but as I said in my original post, I hoping to go another year or two before having to do this. But all is well, it's a good car and I am very happy with it.

Good Wednesday morning, my Christmas friends!

It's Pinesday, Leap Day and 300 day to Christmas Milestone day....Wow!

I'm feeling a little worse this morning, doggone it. A little achy, draggy, sleepy, headachy...you get the idea. I hope it's not the flu. I'm a wimp when it comes to even low-grade fevers. If I get to 98.7°, I have to get under the covers with Tamiflu and Alka-Seltzer Plus and Tylenol. :-?

We've been hung up on watching the Little House on the Prairie marathon that Hallmark Channel has been showing. Last night was the episode where Mrs. Oleson adopted the mean little girl, Nancy, that acts just like Nellie. I think my Nancy got a little tired of my jokes about her name being Nancy, too. Funny stuff!

Welcome to Pinesday! I have today off. They are painting at work and I cant be there with my asthma. So I'm relaxing at the pines. Carl just got me a cup of coffee! He is also making bacon and eggs! Woo! Just listening to Christmas tunes on my computer. I kinda went over my cap for my internet, whoopsie! By the way. Does anyone know how they get those nice themes on facebook? I can see some people have nice ones and I want to set mine to a Christmas one. We are getting some wet snow/freezing rain today. I don't want winter to go. I know it comes back soon but still. lol. Good Morning MMC!!!!!!!! It's going to be almost 70 degrees here today. That's just crazy. We should have high's in the upper 30's right now. My plan for today is to clean out my pantry and all of my spices. Then I will be heading to the Pines for some fun. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!

woohoo, a new car. i bet cah is styling driving now?(not that she wasn't before) cool for you guys. i had a camry & have nothing but good to say about them. unfortunately, as my rents have aged & sons gained girlfriends ours got too small for everyone so i traded in on a 7 seater ford explorer. never owned a ford in my life but i enjoy it & the fact that when we travel we have room for everyone. tha gas mileage isn't goodthough, makes me wish for the camry back!!

Trust me, nobody was styling before in that other car. I was just telling CAH that it got to the point I was embarrassed being seen in that old car. But I got almost 10 years out of it, it was a good car for a long time. I know the Camry has a great reputation as a good reliable car.

I like that paint job, I am going to see if I can get my car painted like that.

my allergies have been totally whacked lately so i cleaned this house top to bottom, dusting, sweeping, mopping, etc. the cleaning, of course, did a number on my allergies but in the long run they should get better.

Winter storm warning, with heavy snow expected by late afternoon ... I'm already frightened about the drive home. I think there's going to be a heavy workload today, so leaving early may be out of the question ... hoping the roads stay manageable until I can get home. Wish me luck!

It's getting closer out here 80-90 some odd miles west of you, I can smell the snow in the air, it should be here about the time I leave for work around 11:30am. I work until 9pm so it could be bad, they were calling for 2-4 inches last night over a 36 hour period, but now they are saying 3-7 inches with a possibility of a foot!

Good morning from a soon to be winter wonderland,


Work will be beckoning in a bit, just resting before I get ready. My youngest woke up just after 5am and proceeded to wake everyone up, I am a bit tired. Happy Leap Day, and another month just about over so were that much closer to Christmas.
