Prayers for Bekki and her husband tomorrow. That was so selfless what she did with hair, to help others. God Bless her. That was also nice of you to offer yourself. Keep us updated on her progress. I'll be thinking about her.
Wayne and I went to Canton, Texas yesterday to First Monday Trade Days, only opened Thursday-Sunday? (What happened to Monday??) It actually takes place those days each month before the first Monday of the month. It's a tradition that started over 150 years ago in Canton. In the 1850's it started out with people trading/selling goods and livestock. Today is spans over 100 acres of shopping and they sell just about everything from clothes, food, tools, cars, antiques, crafts, furniture and more. They even had a few carnival rides for the kids.

My friend Bekki is scheduled for her 4-5 hour surgery tomorrow morning. She and her husband have been positive through it all and on Thursday, she cut 14 strands of hair off her head to donate to a place in Toronto that makes wigs for children with cancer because she knew they were going to shave part of her head for the surgery and decided she wanted to do something more meaningful. She's bald now, but looks great! Thoughts and prayers for them would be appreciated. I offered to take the day off work and wait it out with her husband, but he said he'd be okay on his own.
Hopefully all goes well for tomorrow. and thats a great idea about the wigs. and so nic eof you to offer to take the day of

For some sneaking reason, I have a feeling I will come out of surgery with no b00*s!!! Oh, wait! That's the whole point!!! Anyway, I have lots of things to do, so I am going to put on MCR and listen to Christmas music while I work. Have a great day, everyone.

Good afternoon, MMC! How are you all doing today? As MerryM said in one of her posts earlier, my heart has been very heavy while coming here the past couple of days. I just want you all to know that for anyone who needs my prayers, I am praying for you and I've been thinking about your greatly. We're all a family here and if any of you need anything, I am ALWAYS here if you need to talk or anything like that.
Anyway, not much going on today. DH had to take a class this morning and it was in the town where he is originally from, so he took the kids to his parents, so they could so the kids. He should be home shortly. He goes to work at 4:00 and I work tonight, so my sister will be coming in later on to watch the kids tonight.
Nothing is new here. Tonight is the start of my week for me. It's going to be a busy week at work. We'll see what all it brings!
Well, I am going to go read my NOOK for a little while. Hope everyone is enjoying what is left of their weekend. I will check back in later!

Well my niece's had a good time and the youngest one decided that she wasn't going home. So it looks like she is spending the night again tonight. Which is okay because I had to babysit her tomorrow morning anyway. Now if she would just stop eating everything she sees it would help.

After we had a big lunch and a good time visiting. My cake was a hit. There a some scenes from around Stratford on it. Photographer from our local paper was there, took a picture of the whole family.

Even though we've never met each other, being that we can give each other a kind way word and offer pray when needed, I think that is a tremendous help and so much more than of us could ever ask for. :-D
I am glad you guys had such a good time! That's wonderful you get too spend so much time with them. Enjoy your time with your one niece tonight. Sounds like you'll be doing some grocery shopping again, soon!

good evening ya'll. i have been in prayer much of the day & have such a wonderful peaceful feeling now. i do believe the Lord knows each of you by your My MC name now!! lol.
it's been a beautiful day here, a bit chilly but beautiful still!
i think i may have mentioned that my hubby is going to Germany. they moved the date back to march 17th when he'll be leaving. he's very excited as he's never been there. they will land in Belgium. the place they are going to in Germany is closer than if they landed in Germany. i will be a bundle of nerves as we have never been apart like that. he's been traveling w/ work only about 3 years. places like georgia, tennessee, ohio, & even canada but never that far. the trips are very far between but his company is making lots of updates & changes & it's made it necessary. anyhoo....
daughter orders her class ring on thursday& OMG the cost. my son got his about 4 years ago & his was 2x the size of hers but due to the increase in gold prices the rings are very very expensive. the company is even offering different metals instead of gold to make it more affordable....we'll see.
both my sons are on spring break this week. i wonder what i'll get them to do for a week..hmmm? yeah right! if they can help it as little as possible.
my aunt stopped by today & brought some sweet potato pound cake. i've not tried it but the boys say it's really good. the whole family begins our diet tomorrow so it needs to go fast!
