Seawaters Update!

I was expecting her daughter to call but guess what? Cherylle called me herself and sounded very well considering what she just went through. The surgery was expected to last 5 1/2 hours but only took around 4! She said she is in a little pain and tired but doing good. Her request to the doctor is that she wanted an IV with coffee and Chardonnay.

She wanted to thank all of you for your thoughts and prayers and said they worked! I did tell her that we are all talking about her on here and couldn't wait to hear from her.

She said she might try to pop in on here tonight.

I am like you all and stunned that Cherylle called me herself! I never spoke with her on the phone before and when she said, "Sheila, this is Cherylle", I paused and said, "Cherylle? or Cherylle's daughter"? Her throat was just a little scratchy but she sounded so alert! She said her throat felt a little sore. That sense of humor is the same on the phone as it is on here. It was great to hear her joke around after going through that!

I am just so relieved she got that over with! She expressed her gratitude for all of you several times.
Thanks for being the info provider, CAH!
Carl is typing this for me, so please excuse the errors. I HAVE to say that PRAYER WORKS!!! This whole ay has been nothing short of MIRACULOUS!!! I will tell you about the miracles when I can type at home. It i very hard for Carl to type on my tablet! AND that might be TOMORROW!!! I have to take a walk, so TTYL.
I'm so happy you're back with us, Cherylle! Get some rest and take care of yourself!

Good morning, Christmas friends. God is SO GOOD! I will save that until I get home. Back in the 60s I read an "article" from either Cracked Magazine or Alfred E. Newman. It was a comparison of the lives of Abe Lincoln and JFK. After each comparison, the author would write, "Pretty eerie!" Well, this morning, the nurse tolme about the patient next door. Her name is Cheryle (so close to my spelling!) AND her last name begins with W! "Pretty eerie," huh?

So glad you are doing well!!! When I got home from work last night Sheila told me that YOU called her instead of your daughter, and how well you sounded. That is AWESOME!!!! God is so very good, and does answer prayers, I will continue to pray that you continue to do well in your recovery and all of this is past you now!cheesy

So great to see you doing so well. Tarheels, especially those from Gaston county, are just naturally tough. We are continuing to pray for you and your family.

More high school baseball today and tomorrow. It is a great time of the year with baseball. Our son is a sophomore now. Going back to t-ball, we have spent most of the last 11 springs on baseball fields. I will so hate to see it end. Like Brad said, it would be great to keep our kids young forever.

I taking tomorrow off so it may be Monday before I am back on. Have a great day and weekend everyone.

Seawaters just called me and said she is going home today!!! She sounded fantastic! The battery on her laptop (or ipad) was going dead so she couldn't post but wanted to thank you all again and for being a family to her.

Such good news!

Great to hear, C-A-H!

Carl called and said in honor of Seawaters, she can have all the fired twinkies she wants to eat today for free!
With the complimentary beverage of her choice!

(That thoughful camel.)

Good afternoon, MMC!

Well, Palmer is home now and she has to stay in her crate as she wants to run around and get into things and I cannot have her stitches breaking open. She was spayed yesterday - normally a routine operation, but with her past medical problems, there was a higher chance that she could develop complications. She got the all clear, though, and I just have to keep tabs on her stitches for the next 10 days. The hard part will be keeping her out of mischief.

She was so happy to see me this morning - started purring right away cheesy

Thank you to all who asked about her!

Have a MERRY day!!!

We are here now, Lindsay is in seeing the doc I am in the eaiting room talking to you. Not impressed that there is no hot choc at the snack shop!

Wonderful to hear from you, Seawaters. Keep on improving. Stop by whenever you can!! :???:

Good afternoon, everyone!

I need to get back to work. But, I thought I would stop by real quick. It's a dreary day in Ottawa. The good part? Temperatures are at around double digits again. While walking to work this morning, I also noticed that there is basically no more snow - only banks from plows, shoveling, etc. Also, the forecast for the next few days has changed and there should be no fluttering snow. Hooray! Maybe this early Spring will stay in Ottawa?

The gym last night was fun. Just as I was finishing, about four or five friends came in for their workouts. It's always good to see friends/teammates training hard, too. Although I'd like a night off, I think I may be heading to Carleton tonight for another workout. Tomorrow will be my off evening. Even after two days in a row - working a few different things, of course - I am still feeling quite refreshed.

Well, I should get back to work. Glad to see that everyone is in bright spirits today. There is only a couple more hours left in my day and then there will only be one remaining day before the weekend!

Have a great Thursday, everyone! The weekend is only a day and a half away! Oh, and our next milestone is closing in, too!

Happy to hear all is well with her, hope the recovery goes by quickly.
Harlowe is sending her get well soon hugs =)

My parents came over and it was very warm outside. They were wearing short sleeved shirts. 10 minutes later they stepped back out and it's cold, that north wind is blowing! It started out in the upper 60's and quickly falling into the mid 40's. Gotta love Texas weather! :-D

I think Christmasstar turned those fans on high in our direction. Thanks! =)
