LOL!!! You got it, Made. I fly it because my ex-husband was an air traffic controller! Your experience is as good as mine!!! You really had me laughing already!

I'll volunteer to fly the Lear!! I'm really good at it on video games and it can't be that much harder in real life.

Well it's midday!! just a few more hours and it will be the weekend! I am really looking forward to the trip tomorrow to Tallahassee,Fl...it's an hour and a half drive and I have a friend there who turns 50 sunday but we are having the "surprise" party at 5 tomorrow.. I have a buddy who lives in Atlanta who drives a harley(hog) motorcycle and is driving down to my house tonight and he will spend the night at my house and ride with us to Tallahassee to the party.IF it's warm tomorrow I will want to drive the Harley instead of the honda accord.lol!

Good afternoon everyone! Hope everyone is doing well.

Good to hear from you, Seawaters! Hope things continue to go well.

It looks like rain here pretty soon! we have doppler radar at work and about 50 miles to the north a cold front is coming through bringing rain with it. Temps will be in the 40's at night with highs in the upper 60's. then it will warm up next week back to the 80's in the afternoon and lows in the upper 50's...Everyone remember to spring forward tomorrow night too!!!at least in America!lol

Hey Dawg can you scramble a couple of fighter jets to force Peyton Manning's plane down before it gets to Denver? I don't want to hear all of the Tebow supporters complain if he decides that he likes it there.

TGIF!!

Good Friday afternoon, my Christmas friends!

I was out this morning. My daughter was singing in a school production (Grandparents Day) and it was great. We all went out to the local sandwich shoppe for lunch. I love a reuben on rye!

I just found out I have to leave early for a dentist appt. My boss is going to kill me! Tomorrow is the annual Rattlesnake and Wildlife Festival (formerly the Rattlesnake Roundup). It's a big deal around here, with tens of thousands of people coming from all around. There'll be a parade in the morning, and I have to ride in it as the mayor of Bellville...LOL. Bernie has an old '68 Ford Galaxy that he has restored. They just put the new vinyl top on a couple days ago, and it looks great!

First, however, I have to get up at 4AM to help with a BBQ chicken fundraiser for our church. Ugh. it's going to be a long day tomorrow, especially with time changing!

I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy

Last time I flushed a cache, I had to pay a hefty fine in Bangladesh...even though I was in Mississippi at the time.

Good morning, Christmas friends. God is SO GOOD! I will save that until I get home. Back in the 60s I read an "article" from either Cracked Magazine or Alfred E. Newman. It was a comparison of the lives of Abe Lincoln and JFK. After each comparison, the author would write, "Pretty eerie!" Well, this morning, the nurse tolme about the patient next door. Her name is Cheryle (so close to my spelling!) AND her last name begins with W! "Pretty eerie," huh?
I'll look for you in the next issue!

good evening ya'll!
another day @ work down now. boy am i glad! i've gotta wedding in May, it's a pretty big one. well i gave the bride a price on the flowers a couple months ago, after i gave her the price a couple days went by & while i was off she brought some pics of flowers that she likes, well.....the flowers i originally quoted her were much less expensive than the ones she chose after the quote. here's my dilemma, she lives in Australia right now & won't be back here until 4 weeks before the wedding. i called her mom & she gave me the bride's email. i had to re-figure the whole wedding, it increased by $1000. i hate when this happens, i don't want her to think i'm raising the cost just to make more $. i've sent her the new price & an explanation for the increase. i hope she understands. things like this make me wish i was still in cosmetology, atleast then everyone knew ahead of time of the cost & people generally don't question increases for more services. in this line of work most people think the most expensive flower is a rose but it's soooo not. there are flowers that cost 4x what roses do, some even higher, but very rare.
i'll feel better after i hear back from the bride. either way i won't feel as anxious as i do now. eerrgghh!
the diet is still going, i think we're gonna have salad w/ chicken breast. we all love it!!

Hope you get everything figured out it!

Glad the diet is working out!

My cake made it into our local paper....this is our former Pastor and his family holding it at their farewell party

Hi all,

Lousy day at work, bosses on my case, and my foot was very cranky and painful today. I quickly read today's posts and chose my Christmas song of the day "Riu Chiu" by the Monkees, so I am going to say good night now.

Have a great night everyone!

Sorry you had such a rough day yesterday, xmas- hope today is better for you!!

Thinking of you Seawaters!

You all are part of the Miracle Network. And, now, from Pauline Harvey, you will hear the rest of the story. (I am home from the hospital, by the way.) I want to preface this by saying I ALWAYS do what the doctors tell me to do, always.

On Monday, I went to the doctor to get the INT (intravenous nutrient therapy) and even got some $ off!!!.

When I went to my car, I received a phone call from my oncologist. He said he had set up an appointment with a cardiologist. It appears the EKG at the pre-op showed some irregularities. Then the cardiologist called and we drove to Redding. He set up a stress test for the following day to see if I could be cleared for surgery on Wednesday. Well, no stress there!!! I went up on Tuesday for the stress test and the doctor said I was FINE, absolutely no problems except for a small murmur that I already knew about!!! He did set up an appointment for me to return in a year for another stress test. He cleared me for surgery.

I had developed a BAD cough AND a cold sore from one of my students on the last day in the classroom. It was definitely a chest cold. The oncologist sent me to my regular doctor. She prescribed an antibiotic, just to be safe, and some cough medicine. My cat-sitting friend told me about Mucinex. So I bought that and some Abreva and began swilling that stuff (Mucinex) down. I sounded terrible and knew the surgery would be called off. My cold cleared up a lot and the cold sore went away completely by surgery day. The anesthesiologist check my lungs, and they were perfectly clear, even with a cough!!!

I had to have eight shots, four in each breast, to inject me with dye and radioactive material for the sentinel node excision. I felt NO PAIN WHATSOEVER!!! The radiologist was amazed. Just before the shots, they checked my blood pressure. It was 116/70!!! My pulse rate was 54!!! I was so calm, and no one could believe it. The surgery took less time than the doctors anticipated. I have honestly felt NO PAIN from the surgery, only a soreness like when you start exercising after a long period of not having exercised.

I was progressing so well that the doctor asked me if I wanted to go home. He set me up with two home-health nurses that will come daily to check on me until my appointment with him on March 15.

When I got home from the hospital, the cardiologist had left a message that after rechecking my report I did NOT need to see him in a year for a stress test, but he would like to touch base with me to see how my exercise plan was going!!!

And now you know the rest of the story!!!

Oh, the MAIN thing: when the nurses and doctors asked me why I was doing so well, I told them that I had nuns, saints, and all the angels in heaven praying for me; but most of all, I had a wonderful Christmas family that was the best support of all.

What a lovely thing to say. You are such a huge part of this Christmas family, and cherished by all. Keeping you in my thoughts & prayers everyday for a smooth recovery. xo

((((((((SEAWATERS))))))))

Solice: I hope your day gets better.

Shellie: I hope you are better soon.

Dawg: I hope you get back on track soon.

Good morning, MMC!

There is a light dusting of snow on the ground - could be the last snow of the season!

The rest of the month is going to be very busy. I am working on expanding the business - creating a logo, setting up a web page, etc. I have created logos before, but I know nothing about setting up web pages - should be very interesting! My goal is to get everything in place by June 1st, the fourth anniversary of my business opening. Wish me luck!!!

Have a very MERRY day!!!!!!!!!

GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!!!!

I think I have been to that when I was a kid my grandfather took me there and I was amazed at how they picked up those snakes!! Now when I was in college I use to go to Savannah at St patty's day!LOL talk about fun:)

Wow!!! The Colts just cut Addai, Clark, Brackett, and Bullitt. Then add to that list Wayne, Saturday, and Garcon whose contracts are up and haven't resigned and the fact that they are trying to trade Freeney.:-(

I hope Andrew Luck didn't plan on winning anytime soon.

Hi friends!!

Happy Friday to you all!!!!!

It has been a long week, and I'm looking forward to the weekend.

What are your plans?

I got a nice surprise last week- got a call from my best friend saying that she's coming to town this weekend. So, I plan to pick her up from the airport tomorrow afternoon, and she'll stay the weekend at our place. It'll be great to catch up in person!

Nascar is in town this weekend, and the traffic is crazy here. Not that it's ever not crazy, lol! Who will be watching?

Sending thoughts & hugs your way, Christmas family.

I wish all of you a lovely weekend!!
