Christmas Countdown - 2012

Good Morning MMC!!!!!! It's going to be another hot one here in central Indy with a high around 85 degrees. I broke down last night and turned on my air conditioner and it looks like it will be back on tonight. I have to babysit today. My brother in law doesn't go in until noon so I got to sleep in at least. Tomorrow I have to be out there at 6am. I think my aunt is going to come by after she gets off of work and watch the kids until my BIL gets home. That way I can go to the Pines. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!

warm here too, was just telling my son that if this keeps up we may be putting the airconditioner in earlier than ever before!

Hi everyone!!!

I know, I know, it has been a while. Things are gearing up with the business. We have hit the ground running and WOW!!! Business is a booming!!! I cannot believe the response, so needless to say, with that much to do working two full time gigs is a lot. Looks like I am going to leave the company I am with our small business has gotten so big we are now looking at a larger garage to house the trucks and looking at buying a new/used one.

I tell you all though, Christmas is not far from my brain, I also think about all of you and wonder what you are all doing. Did I miss this months Member of the month?!?! I must check, I have voted non-stop for one particular person I so hope to see that one win!!! Must check and see... I know I saw Shellie's win much deserved and awesome.

I hope things in your personal life are well that everyone is good, happy, and Christmasy!!!

Remember, I think it was Erma Bomback who said... "Stop trying to be happy, just be happy, trying means you may not be able to be, do not let anyone steal your happy!!!"

I love that and this site is one of my Happy Sites!!! Ahhhh, Christmas, I found a cool recipe I am going to test this weekend for Christmas Eve. Oh, and this year we are going to Bethlehem, PA during Christmas Eve it is nicknamed Christmas Town!!! I cannot wait to see it!!!

Wednesday. Pines Day!

Is it truly Wednesday already? Oh, that's right. I haven't been around for a couple days. Sorry about that. Much of my downtime at work right now is reserved for job hunting. No luck as of late. But, that's how it goes. I will continue my search!

I hope everyone had a wonderful first day of Spring yesterday! Like much of the continent, it felt more like summer than spring! Temperatures in Ottawa reached 25C (nearly 80F). That is easily a record breaking high for this time of year. Surprisingly, on such a beautiful day, the gym was packed. After the gym a friend and I took advantage of the weather and ran some outdoor sprints. It was beautiful... Well, except for the fact that they felt a little rough.

Nothing new on any fronts here. The days keep flying by and I have about seven more days (not including today) of work left. The only good part is that my dad should be visiting during the first non-working week. Although I want to transition into another job immediately, it will be nice to spend a few days with him!

Well, I guess I should get back to work. I'll do my best to check in sometime this afternoon. We have nearly completed a massive backlog in forms (from 3000+ to only 38 remaining), so I think that my downtime will even further increase by this afternoon! It only took about five months.

Looking forward to some acupuncture.
I always feel better after 1-2 hours with needles all over my body.
But it hurts more each week to 'put them in'..
Especially on my hands... But it's worth it.

I will be leaving for work in a few, JP is home sick from school today, he woke up in the middle of the night and got sick. Second time with this viral thing for him. My wife is coming home to take over watching him for the second shift. I am just looking forward to my day off tomorrow.

good morn'in ya'll!
my sis did pretty good in her surgery. the doc had to do a little more than anticipated. it took about 3 1/2 hours. poor thing had to stay in recovery until around 5:30pm though because they had no rooms. my b-i-l said there was 5 in recovery waiting on rooms yesterday afternoon. my sis actually called me herself last night. she said she had some pain but was ok. she wanted me to thank all ya'll for your prayers-they work!! the pain in her left leg was constant from the pinched nerve before & she said it was already gone!! thank God!! the doc ordered the nurses to have her "undone" from all the "stuff" by 6am this morning....i guess he's wanting her up & moving. i sure hope there's not alot of pain w/ that. again, thanks for all your prayers guys, she means the world to me!

I am so glad to read that your sister is doing well. I touched the screen and prayed for her when you posted she was having surgery. I know just what you mean - my sister is my whole world almost xo

Good evening,

Nyquil made me sleep like a baby last night, I felt pretty good all day today. LC had a great day today, they threw him a party at daycare and he made out like a bandit, they are all so nice there. We took him to BK for dinner, because that is what he wanted for his b-day dinner, he and JP had fun there.

I am having a very bad anxiety night, and I am out of my Rx, just have a few things on my mind bothering me and I feel so helpless when my anxiety acts up.

I finally got my new pair of glasses, it is amazing how much clearer they are than my old ones, which were 7 years old. The prescription is actually weaker than my old ones, my eyes improved.

Late shift tomorrow, then day off for my foot appt. on Thursday.

Sorry to hear about your anxiety it can be a real pain. hopefully you slept better last night and goo luck with your appointment on thursday

It isn't pretty but hubby is in the Septic (Sewer) Pumping Business. We expanded about the middle of Jan. And when he was small it was nice I did the paperwork a few nights a week, but we bought another business in an area we have wanted to get a foot hold in what we New Yorkers call THE POCONOS. Yup not too far from Pocono raceway and well, we knew it meant more work but WOW, we are already looking into hiring someone we didn't think that would happen until next year, out advisor/accountant was very helpful, but none us expected to amount of calls. We are very happy, no doubt with the out come.

I got all my e-mail issues resolved this morning. I had all the server information to plug in, I just needed my password reset for my previous Outlook Express account. Once my ISP did that, it took me like 3 seconds to finish setting up my e-mail. I have done it before and I couldn't understand what I was putting in wrong. At least it is FIXED.

Wes saw his cardiologist today and everything looks really good. So far, so good ! xo

i get off work @ 1pm today & my son is to get my daughter from school so i think i'm gonna cut the grass this afternoon. i'll have to find a mask in hubby's shop 1st because it's so dry out & pollen has the air a bit yellow/green!
hubby emailed me that the company he's @ is taking them out this evening. told them to bring cameras because they're gonna get to see some of the sights. happy for him as he really enjoys that stuff.

Going to head off to kids company soon, start of another session, doing the cake decorating again.

It is nice and warm out again today, looks like my one and only tulip will soon bloom. (I planted a case of 100 bulbs 2 springs ago and got 1 tulip and 2 daffodils and one flower that I do not know)

I've really been missing the Christmas season a lot lately.
I found a really cute shirt that I ordered the other day- it's Clark's Rant from Christmas Vacation. Makes me smile =)

To all the animal lovers out there, I found a company that makes homemade Chicken Jerky- yes, made in the USA!! It's a company out of Maine. It's called TriPom Chews if you want to search it, and I bought some for Harlowe & she loves them! Very happy find, especially since I quit buying the ones that are made in China, per our vet recommendation. Glad I did, they've been in the news quite frequently =( We even wondered if that's what was causing Harlowe her liver problems initially. Anyways, check them out.
They're for dogs & cats :grin:



It's funny, a lot of you are having unseasonably warm temps, and Vegas has had unseasonably cool temps?!?
Back to the high 70's & low 80's by the weekend. Truly crazy weather.

Not much else new. Just work & work! Just wanted to say hello :smile:
