Christmas Countdown - 2012

We are a full month ahead of last year's pace. Coach made post 8480 last year on 4-22. I thought we would be behind last year at this point.

That is so exciting! I have a feeling that we will probably pass another month or so up before the season approaches.

Hey everyone! Things are crazy down here...working llike a dog!! and jordan is not giving me a break at all tonight!Lol the little rascal and determined to keep me up all night I think! well I miss you guys maybe things will calm down next week! take care!

I am sorry that you are so busy with work! I am sure once work calms down, then Jordan will give you a break. Things always work out that way, don't they? I hope things calm down for you!

good morning fellas.....been some time that Kandice and I been home from work and kindergarden.....she got hit with a bug and it came with various conditions....coughing, sneezing...then switching to headache, fever and throwing up....and I am down....once again with a bronchitis.....anyhow...we are in good spirits and will walk to the doctor since the weather is so so nice....it will do us both good

I am so sorry to hear that you both are sick! I will keep you both in my prayers that you get better soon. Poor Kandice, so many different things she got hit with. Throwing up is the absolute worst so I hope that has passed for good. Bronchitis is of course no picnic, so I hope it leaves as quickly as it came. Hope the doctor gives you some good news, or at least some good medication!

hubby will be going to Belgium today & thinks he'll be able to call me....we'll see! i've never went a week w/out talking to him, heck i've never been a whole week w/out seeing him!
prom is tonight for an area high school. we are busy @ work.

my niece goes to that high school & is a junior. this would have been her 1st prom, she had gotten her dress, shoes, made her hair appointment & stuff...well she was getting out of her mom's car @ school on Wednesday & fell. she hurt her foot. that baby went on through part of the morning hurting & by 10 or 11 am her foot was blue. she kept an ice pack on it for the day. ended up she stayed home yesterday & her mom couldn't get her an appointment w/ an orthopeadic (spelling) until this morning. it's the outside part of her left foot i think. her foot is black now, no prom for her tonight! they said she was crying because of it. i feel so bad for her!

my sis is home from the hospital. she's walking alot. she says she hurts really bad when she gets up out of a chair. she tried to lay in bed but that hurt too much so she's in a recliner. she has the back brace but as of last night she wasn't wearing it. says she's gonna put it on 1st thing this morning. of course i fussed @ her about that (strictly out of love). told her it would probably help w/ the pain of getting up. she said, i don't know, i think it would be more aggravation. i'm like yeah vicky, they gave you the back brace just to aggravate you!! c'mon. i will be sure & call her late morning to make sure she's in it by then.

I hope that you get to talk to your husband tonight! Awwww I feel so terrible for your niece! I know how exciting prom is, I can only imagine how she feels being unable to go. It wouldn't shock me if you came back and said that she tried going anyways because that's how determined some girls are about it! I hope that your sister starts feeling better, back braces are so uncomfortable. She can heal a lot quicker by wearing it.

Good Morning Everyone!!!!!!! It's going to be a rainy day but that's okay with me because the rain is bringing in cooler temps. Today's high should only reach 70 degrees. My brother in law is off of work today so no babysitting for me. Instead I have to run by the bank and then head to the grocery store. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!

Hope your errands run smoothly for you! The weather is going to be 81 degrees here today, but then tomorrow we're starting to get cooler, too. Oh well, I think 80's is a little too hot for March anyway.

I have been so sick the past two days with the flu. I actually had to call off of work last night, which is something I hardly ever do. I am sorry I never checked in, but I just wasn't feeling up to it.

I hope you have something good for dinner! Rainland does not sound fun - it just does nothing but make me sleepy! I love cake. My mom just made her homemade specialty last night and it was delicious. She makes her own frosting and I love when I get to grab a spoon and get the bowl clean by eating it all. Hope you get/make a cake that you enjoy!

It is warm and kind of muggy here today. We are expecting the same weather as Made today (since our states are neighbors we get a lot of the same weather) . Right now it is kind of overcast and the pups are outside.
I am getting really excited for Christmas in July. I can't wait to read all the comments on here and to go ornament shopping with my sister !!!!

Now, Christmas family, I would like to ask your opinion. While I make pretty good money with the company I am with, I am not nor have I ever been happy working for them. In your opinion, is it better to be happy in your work and maybe make less or is sticking with a well paying job that you are not happy in the way to go ?? I know that the decision is mine ultimately but I just wanted to get some feedback.

I am SO GLAD it is Friday. I still miss my regular schedule which they tell me was "temporarily"changed. That is one thing that upsets me. It is small but there are a lot of small things that are starting to build up.

I hope all are well. Made, still praying for your niece. Seawaters, of course you are in my prayers still. MG Ramsey still praying for your mother and your family.

I know that I am a lot younger than everyone else, but I do have an opinion on that subject. I honestly believe that you should work for a company that makes you happy before anything else. Out of my parents, my mom has a job that she loves, and my dad has a job that he hates. My dad doesn't enjoy what he does at all. When he gets home from work, he's not happy because of the hectic/long day that he had, and then he can't even relax that evening because he is already dreading the next day of work. I would never want to dislike the job that I have as much as he does. My mom loves her job. She is satisfied with where she is at and enjoys what she does. I think it would be much better to make less and be happier compared to making more and being miserable. As they say, money can't buy happiness! Life is too short to be unhappy about an occupation. Enjoy your Friday!!

CM3, for me, happiness first! I can speak from experience. I helped manage apartments and got a free home and decent pay. I was not rich but comfortable and MISERABLE at the same time! The job was great, some of the residents, not so great. There were a lot of good people but had to deal with a few that made life miserable and the bad part was having them as my neighbor since I lived on the property. I just don't deal with drama and negativity too well and that seemed to be common where I lived. The gossip was out of hand too and got sick of it. Some of them thought I was the "go to" person to gossip about others. I finally had to put a stop to that! Some people handle that kind of stress well but I am one that doesn't.

Now I am in a job that pays WAY LESS but I am very very happy! I wouldn't trade it for the world. We do make ends meet but with less money. I am happy and that is what matters most to me.

I think it you have to be happy. It doens't matter how much money you have if you dread go to work everyday. That's why it's taking me so long to find a job right now. Sure I could go out and get a job working retail somewhere pretty quick but I wouldn't want to get out of bed in the morning. On the other hand my savings are eventually going to run out and I may be forced into it but I would keep looking for something that made me happy even if it was less money.

The calzones were very good tonight, but work will be early enough, my Bruins are out in Seawaters neck of the woods (sort of) in San Jose and the game starts at 10:30 so I will catch the highlights in the morning. My wife just started reading "The Hunger Games" tonight, I have no interest in it after hearing what it's about and reading the synopsis, I know it is the biggest thing going but I can't handle the violence between children. It really disturbs me. Just my opinion, we can't agree on everything all the time. cheesy

Nyah, just tired and sick and tired of these tubes! Sorry if this is TMI. I have tried to read the posts and had lots of difficulty getting on yesterday. I had to go in and redo my password to my Nook, but since I am a touch typist, it is difficult to reply. Right now, I am using Hubby's computer because mine is so slow that it would take forever to go from page to page here on the forum.

Has anyone heard from Seawaters? I even sent her a PM a couple of days ago to check on her and have not heard back. Just hoping she is okay!

We had a very sad day last Wednesday, and I didn't post anything about it because I was so upset. Hobbs the Wonder Dog passed away, we think it was a stroke. We buried him in our back yard with his best friend Sandy, and thought we weren't getting any more dogs. Inflation and all, you know. But before two days were out, we both changed our minds. The house was just too quiet, and there was nobody to lick the plates when we were done eating.

So this morning, we went to the Anne Arundel Co. Animal Shelter, and came home with Victor. Victor is a mixed breed; he's part Jack Russell, but that's all we know. He is bigger than a Jack Russell, but what else he is is anyone's guess.

Anyway, here are a few pics of Victor to brighten your day.

Victor was as good as gold on the ride home. He was even reasonably well behaved in PetsMart. I took him next door to meet my Mom, and he washed her face very nicely. We are all very happy!

Oh-he came with the name "Victor", and I wondered "Why Victor?". But then it dawned on me- He looks like the "Victor/Victrola" dog.
