How many of you have Good Friday off? This is the first job I ever had that doesn't have it off. They used to have it off, but because their customers changed, so did that. It is a logistics company with several clients, so we have to work with our client's schedule.

I know this post sounds like I hate my job, I really don't. I am just blowing off some steam. Overall it isn't a bad job, but like any job it has it's times that just try my patience. Not to mention that I have been waiting over a year for them to put me on first shift. But all is good, beats the heck out of being unemployed like so many are these days.

working in a flower shop we never have Good Friday off either. that really bites, we usually go to my sister's @ Easter & i would much rather leave out to go a little earlier in the day, as a matter of fact, i may try to get off a little earlier this friday.

Had a big meeting today in Edinburgh and came away feeling less than adequate! Don't know if I said but I've been appointed as an exam setter for our Registration qualification. Anyway, we set the exams and they sat them at the beginning of March. We marked them (THAT was an eye-opener) and today was the day we made our report to the exam board (which I was elected onto too). The first paper had a pass percentage of 78; the second paper had a pass percentage of 27 and the third had a pass percentage of 80 odd. Guess which paper was mine?! The thing is these exams are checked, double checked and triple checked before even getting as far as the candidates and were deemed fair and well rounded. They ended up dropping the pass mark and sent 2 of the borderline papers out of the room with the other setters to see if they could find more marks than I'd graded them to try and get them a pass mark. They came back with another 4 points which meant passes. I feel I've been too harsh and if they found 4 points for those, what could they have found in the other papers??? Seemingly my standards are too high. Since when did this become a bad thing??????

Oh well, back to the drawing board.........

Life is so hectic lately, I went out and did our Easter shopping for the boys, while I was out shopping I received a call from LC's daycare he is running a fever, so I had to pick him up, thankfully I got 99% of it done, just have to find a certain book for JP. So LC is here with me now, I am trying to get him to take a nap, so I can get this house cleaned up for Easter, JP's birthday, and my sister is visiting from South Carolina the day after JP's b-day April 14 and staying for 5 days. I feel so relaxed at Christmastime, yet this time of year I feel so rushed and stressed.

Easter break in Norway is longer than in many other European countries.
The Easter holidays start Wednesday afternoon before Maundy Thursday,
and end on Tuesday morning after Easter Monday.
Everything is closed and nobody works this days..
The shops are up a short time at Saturday.

And the kids get their break the Friday before this weeks.
So with the weekends they got 10 days off from school! =]

i don't understand why we don't do more in America to celebrate Easter. i think too many people don't want to upset a few & blow it off. ticks me off sooo badly.

No...that would be lovely. As Xmas said, some of the schools in some of the States are still open, which is really sad. I'm Catholic and Holy week is very important to me. I wish the USA looked at Easter more importantly, but doesn't. Enjoy it.

Good evening, everyone. Hope you're all doing well. The family and I just got back a little bit ago from a nice walk. It was enjoyable. I work tonight yet, then I am off tomorrow. I'm happy about that!

I have a little running around to do tomorrow, but that is about it. DH is working, so the kids will be at daycare. We're going to color Easter eggs and then we're taking the kids to see the Easter Bunny tomorrow night. Hopefully they won't be scared - EA loves Santa and talks about him all the time, but didn't want to sit on his lap this past year. I guess we will see how she does with the bunny.

They're having a party at daycare on Thursday for EA, but since she only goes twice a week, she will miss it. It's a bummer for her, but hopefully one of these times she will make one of the parties. It seems like she always misses the parties.

Well, I'm off to take a nap. Hope you're all enjoying your evening. Talk to you all tomorrow. Maybe I'll check back in if I can't sleep. Hope all of have a great day tomorrow!

Good evening,

Just sitting here watching my two favorite teams in all of sports duke it out, Boston Bruins vs Pittsburgh Penguins, it is 2-1 Pens in the lead, my Bruins have second place in the conference all wrapped up, so it is more important that the Pens win to stay ahead of the Flyers. Either way it's hockey, and I will enjoy it no matter what.
I found the book I wanted for JP on Amazon, it should be here on Thursday, plenty of time for Easter.

I am so glad today is over. I actually bought myself something that was really kind of expensive. I NEVER do that but this is something I have wanted for 13 years. I found a decent price on Millennium Bride Barbie which was a limited edition back in 1999. She is wearing a gown with Swarovski crystals sewn all over it and she has a cathedral veil. She is so BEAUTIFUL !!

I hope everyone is doing well and I hope everyone has a very Christmassy evening. I have been trying to say the rosary every night of Holy Week. I am quite upset that I don't get to go to church on Good Friday this year.....But I will try to say some extra prayers in honor of the day.......

What's up, Christmas gang? Tomorrow is the day....the best day of the week...well, besides Friday...and Saturday...and Sunday....it's Wednesday at the Pines Day! (But please don't say anything to Carl about it being the 4th best day of the week!)
