It was 80 this morning, but 92 this afternoon---that's what I meant by midsummer! No, our midsummers are hotter than 80! We're going downstairs in a bit where it's cooler.

I will take 92 degrees for midsummer too! It's hot but nothing like that yucky 100+ that lingers on for a month or longer.

I think you mentioned you are near the marathon? I heard the temps affected a lot of runners. That is too hot for running!

I think we got our temperatures reversed because it has been cool here in Texas all day.

Yes, the runners pass a couple miles from here about noontime, but we don't have much interest in it. They start in Hopkinton and end 26 miles away in Boston. Way too hot here today for that kind of exertion. I think we're going back down into the 60s tomorrow. Back to work ... bleh ...

What Christmas movies do you have on Netflix? I joined Netflix, but I am not sure how to do a search for the ones that would interest me.

Ya know, it's funny...I have most of them on DVD, but watching them on TV makes it all the better!! We are lucky, especially since we cancelled all of the HBO's & Cinemax, etc. when we switched to Netflix. For some reason, we still get the Encore Channels, regular & HD. Must be a part of our extended cable or something, so I do appreciate them =)

I've been watching Christmas movies on the Encore channels lately. They've had Jingle All The Way, Home Alone, Lovely, Still, etc.

In fact, The Santa Clause 2 is on Encore West right now!!



But, I do have a few in my Netflix Instant Queue like Yes, Virginia, Snowglobe, Santa Claus: The Movie, Christmas Cupid, 12 Dates Of Christmas, Desperately Seeking Santa, and The Christmas Bunny.

I just go online, sign in to our account, and do searches by entering "Christmas", or an actual title like the ones ^^^above ^^^, and then they start recommending/suggesting them to you. Let me know if this helps. If not, I can go onto their website at the same time, and I can help you out that way.

Let's face it if he was on the Capitals, I would love him. I hear people say the same stuff about Ovechkin, but since he is a Capital, I don't care. I did hear that Crosby got into a fight the other day. Maybe he isn't so bad afterall.


Well on the subject of hockey, I see the Caps lost tonight.

Good evening,

Late night here, just like when I first joined, my father and his fiancee came over for dinner tonight. We made beef and chicken kabobs, baked potatoes, and corn on the cob, the food was very good, but the temps. in the house almost hit 90*F, so we turned our AC on in April. Six Flags tomorrow, it won't be as hot, but with 4 kids it may be a long day.
The Bruins won another 1 goal game, but it is starting to turn nasty, not Pittsburgh vs Philly nasty but it is getting physical, it was a very good game, I can't wait until Thursday's game.

story time!

My son went to see the Harlem Globe trotters last year with his best friend Russel. They both bought the basket balls, but only my son managed to get some signatures on his. Well, his friend (has downs syndrome) was so upset his ball was not signed he was crying so my son traded balls with him. So Ray came home with an official basket ball, but no signatures. He said he did not mind because after all it was Russell's birthday! (do I have a sweet son or what!)

Fast forward to last week....

My girlfriend took her daughter to see them and I talked them into taking Rays basket ball with them and the entire team signed it !!!!
I am so excited! Want to keep it for his birthday, but I really do not think I can sit on this until November.

Oh my..
This brings tears to my eyes... ♥

I would have given him the ball at once! =]
(and taking pictures of him getting it! ♥)

Happy monday MMC!!

the girls went back to school today after 2 weeks off, the house has been so peaceful today haha!! Got to start getting ready for work soon, then after work pick up a few bits from the supermarket!

nothing better than not having to get up early w/ them to get them off to school, but then after they have been home awhile, nothing like sending them off & having peace to your self. i totally understand that! good to see you claire!!

good a.m. ya'll!!! my boss called me yesterday w/ a question & heard how bad i sound & told me to take today off too as it's very slow in the shop. thank goodness, i was wondering how in the world i was gonna be able to go back today!
i didn't see where cm3 had posted anything about Ivy. gosh i hope everything's ok.

i'm gonna try to give Daisy, my toy poodle, a bath today. she doesn't really like them but we gotta do what we gotta do!!!

i think i've totally lost my Christmas feeling! i wish i had it right now so badly. think i'll listen to some Christmas tunes & look for it.
