Christmas Countdown - 2012

Good Thursday morning, my Christmas friends!

I NEED A HAIRCUT!! I've needed one for a couple weeks now, but for some reason I haven't been able to get an appointment worked out.

I used to go to the local barber shop. You know, with the rotating pole outside, and you go in and shoot the breeze with the other guys till it's your turn. You could even get a straight-razor shave and a hot towel! I miss that.

A friend's wife opened a beauty parlor (as we call it here in the south), and he hinted that I should support his wife with my business. I didn't mind at first, but now it takes forever to get an appointment...forget about just walking in...and no shave...and no talcum powder! Shoot, I have to stop her every time before she puts hairspray in my hair!

We'll see how this one turns out today at 4:30. She could at least put out a couple hunting magazines. I've read all the Cosompolitan, Glamor, and Redbook I can stand!

YES MILESTONE DAY!

This year is going by faster then last. I keep my ipod touch with me when I go to the store. Just in case I find a hint of Christmas/Thanksgiving/Halloween to share the good tidings with you all! I haven't seen anything yet. Soon I will take a trip to Michaels Craft store! Any of you remember White Rose Crafts and Nursery? They went out of business a while ago, 2004 I think. They were the ULTIMATE store. It was like Michaels and Hobby Lobby had a baby. When I was little, Mom would take me. I would look for Christmas stuff and didn't want to leave. *ahhh* those were the days! Well hope everyone has a great day! Oh yes and I'm getting my Christmas music fix right now!

Right now the craft stores are putting out the patriotic goodies for the Memorial Day/Flag Day/Fourth of July season. They even have the red-white-and-blue decorations out at the supermarket, trying to get folks in the spirit for outdoor grilling. I don't see much love for that season on the Countdown, but we enjoy it ... I keep a mess of John Philip Sousa DVDs in the car, and we sometimes like to drive around with the windows down blaring Sousa as we go about our errands! cheesy Then after July 4th it's time for Christmas in July, updating the lists and addresses in the notebook, and compiling clips for the annual Christmas DVD.

Well here we kinda celebrate it. You will hear fireworks going off in the neighbourhood. Its only a couple of months to July as well!

I love the 4th of July because it lets me bring out my inner pyromaniac. I just don't like the heat that comes along with it.

Good Morning, MMC!!

...Almost Friday!

I am happy, I finally completed my collection of Peter Falk- "Angel Max" Christmas dvd's!! The movies are "The Town Without Christmas", "Finding John Christmas" and "When Angels Come To Town".

What are your plans for the weekend?

We have some friends in town, so we're going to meet up with them on Friday afternoon. I'm taking a half day =)

Continued thoughts & prayers are with CAH, SIT, and Seawaters. And of course anyone else who needs them. xo

My brother's boss just let him know that the higher-ups of the company feel that his job is now "unnecessary" and he will probably lose his job at the end of this year.

An hour left of the work week!! I have not stated packing yet but I will in the morning. I plan to leave around 8am and get to Tallahassee around 10 am. Brandi is working all weekend grading papers and getting ready for finals. The last day of school is 2 weeks away,although the University here is having graduation next sat(may5th) BTW VSU where are you???there are so many old pals here who I have lost touch with over the course of this year. Anyhow I hope everyone is having a good day....I will talk to you guys later!!
 
@CAH and SIT- _Prayers going out to the both of you in this time of loss for CAH Uncle..I will be thinking of you guys!!!

Also I read today is Milestone day! whoo hoooo! 1.3 of the way there!!!
