Keeping you all in my thoughts & prayers~

I watched a Christmas mystery movie last night, called Shadow Island: The Last Christmas. I thought it was good! I love mysteries & Christmas, so it was right up my alley. It had beautiful winter & holiday scenery, was filmed in Canada. Breathtaking!!

Hope all is well. Been a busy month. Seems like I have less time to come on here when I am job hunting. Looking for a job. Too bad it is nearly impossible to find one when you're overqualified for everything.

Thank you for your thoughts and prayers, everyone. Mr. is staying home from the office today to get some sleep. It was a rough night for him.

merrycarey, i will be in prayer for your hubby, his father, & the entire family. this is such a hard thing. take care...you & your mr. , my friend!

can't take strong chemical cleaners either. bleach & Tilex are the worst to me. sure hope that headache goes away quick, fast, & in a hurry made!!!

Yesterday we planted a Linden tree in memory of my brother in our back yard. Our neighbors had given us a gift certificate to a nursery, so that is what we used it for. I hope it makes it. It looks so nice back there! We also planted 2 other tree's, a red oak & a red maple that I ordered from Arbor Day - they are a couple of twigs, so we'll see if they come around. It's a fun experiment!

I better get back to work.

hey holiday!!!! big wave:hi::hi: just wanted to tell you, you probably already know though, about the trees you planted....be sure to water them DEEPLY!! it helps the roots get better established faster. you'll see....they will be beautiful before long!

I'm weird about chicken. I'll eat boneless skinless breasts but I won't touch it if it's still on the bone. I'll fix a whole turkey though and it doesn't bother me.

this sounds just like my son, Seth...boneless chicken. by the way, are you close to Indianapolis? my hubby is there working. staying in a town called......oh my goodness, i forgot it! starts w/ a G. i'll ask him again when i talk to him tonight.

My mom is having the same problem. You would think with 20+ years of retail management experience it wouldn't be to hard for her to find something but everyone here is just looking for entry level people.

by the way, are you close to Indianapolis? my hubby is there working. staying in a town called......oh my goodness, i forgot it! starts w/ a G. i'll ask him again when i talk to him tonight.

I live about 3 miles outside of the city limits.

hey ya'll! trying to get my chaps; kids, children, rugrats, dependents to do their chores. why is it so hard when i tell them & their dad can tell them & it's as good as done? oh never mind, i know why. dad's are more disciplined & serious. i'm 'bout to go all Madea up in here if they don't get mov'in though.

finding myself in a true rutt w/ my job. not really enjoying any part of it right now. from this weekend till memorial day there's something scheduled, & i've gotta work all of it. uurrgh! i wish i could just go back to staying home again. there's always plenty to be done @ home, for the kids, for my rents & other family members. anyhoo.....

wow, wouldn't it be great if it were already Christmas time again??

Good afternoon, MMC! How are you all this fine Monday? I'm well. I just got home a little over an hour ago from the dentist - one of the places I hate the most. I went for my regular exam today. I have to go back on Thursday, so yes I have to get a filling...which I hate.

I made it almost 26 years and never had one and this will be my 2nd one in 6 months. I take super good care of my teeth, but he says this one isn't a cavity or anything, but he "just wants to fill it before it becomes a problem." Whatever...I still have to sit through all that pain. Hopefully it won't take too long and it will be over before I know it. Heck, my epidural for babies didn't take as long. That is much I hate the dentist and filling. I have had braces...the whole 9 yards. Okay...enough about that!

Nothing going on here this evening. Just work, like usual. Our shed/garage came today that we've been ancipating the arrival for, except they forget to put the shutters on. Hopefully they will bring them back pronto and get them on. Oh well...stuff happens I guess!

Well, I am off to get caught up on the rest of the posts! Talk to you guys all later! Have a great rest of your evening. Thinking about all of you and saying prayers for all of you who need them.

No problem! Jennifer Finnigan stars in it, and I guess there's a whole series of her mysteries, although I believe only two have been released thus far. They take place at her family's lodge resort. Beautiful!! The other one that was released is called Wedding For One. I found them on Netflix, if you subscribe to it. :grin:

Well, today (1st) was suppost to be the day we moved to our new home. Unfortunatley a planning problem two weeks ago put paid to the whole thing and we are back to square one. Bit depressed to be honest, but it just wasn't meant to be. Onwards and upwards.

Technically that's where I live but I'm actually closer to Indy. That's where my sister live's though and I do most of my shopping out there so I don't have to deal with the crowds in Indy.
