Last night I heard the loudest clap of thunder and it scared me to death. I whipped my head so hard and fast towards the window that I pulled something in my neck. ... The whole side of my neck is stiff today and killing me. This is exactly what I hate thunderstorms!

Ouch! That happened to Mr. once at a Bugaboo Creek Steakhouse. The moose head on the wall behind him started talking, and he whipped his head around to see what was going on. We didn't eat there for a long time after that!

Again we marvel at the nearness of a key Milestone:
One week from today -- the HALF-WAY mark to the Season 2012!

HOW CAN THAT BE??? I FEEL BEHIND ALREADY!!!

Howdy Pardners!

I cannot believe we are into May...I kept it quiet but the Mrs. and I just returned from a cruise to celebrate our tenth wedding anniversary that took us to the Mediteranean and a few other stops in Europe. It was a dream trip and one that I will never, ever forget...In each city, I look for signs of Christmas...I found them, all over...From a Christmas tree carved from stone in Barcelona, to small Pinochio ornaments in Florence, to nativity scene postcards in Rome. Christmas was well repesented in the cities and within me. My iPod is chock full of Christmas songs all year long but I have to tell you that sitting on the balcony of our cabin, smoking a cuban cigar and listening to Christmas music as the sun sets is just about the finest hour a man can have, at least this man. I thought of this site, and the good folks here...RadioJon, Binger, Crown, Jeff Westover, Maureen, Auntie Mistletoe, folks I've literally known for many, many years now...Life is good folks, especially when you stop in your tracks, look around and says thanks!

Hey guys!! I finished a lot of my errands already. I tried to be nice and cook lunch for my mom and I but she's late! She told me she'd be home at 1:30 and I am trying to keep the food warm.

Hope you're all having a good day so far!

One of the gimmicks at Bugaboo Creek is the animation---fish mounted on plaques on the wall flap every now and then, the duck decoys' heads move periodically, and the mounted moose and buffalo heads on the wall spout commercials for the restaurant a couple times each visit. (The decor is faux Canadian mountain hunting lodge.) Not surprisingly, the chain isn't doing so well and closed a bunch of restaurants last year. (Too bad, because if you could stand the gimmicky animation, the food was good.)

Brad - A very happy birthday to your dad... I know he is still with you xo

Good evening, Christmas family. Hermione had her last puppy kindergarten class today. I am so proud of the puppy she has become. She still has a couple of issues when shet gets really tired but she has come full circle and is such a wonderful, good girl. Her graduation photo is supposed to be available this Thursday on line. I don't know if it will be but if it is and if I can copy it, I will post it here...........Now. The reason I called my self an idiot or as one of my TV heroes, Monk, says, "Here's the thing": Training on May 1 with the new company was really draining, as training always is. It was really quite confusing. The platform they work off of had about a zillion things to remember. That was okay. I still typed some reports and they all went to QA which is usual for a "newbie". In fact, I expected that. The next day I got on early in the morning, still having some trouble learning the platform but doing better. On the 3rd they made me take training a second time. If it would have helped ot taught me something it would have been fine. As it was it only wasted an hour out of the time I was supposed to be typing. That was strike one, it made no sense to me. Once I had enough documents in QA I began to review them fully expecting there to be errors as I was so new. However, the errors were NOT medical errors. Everything that was marked incorrect was something petty. At least I consider it petty to mark something wrong because a comma is in the wrong place or a hyphen. I know it is very important to be grammatically correct but in the world of transcription, believe me, doctors ARE NOT grammatically correct. As long as the content is pretty much accurate such as patient name, medications, etc., then those are the really important things, NOT if there is perfect punctuation. Plus one of the things which was marked wrong was a doctor dicated "right nares". Nares is plural. Naris is the correct word when speaking of one I believe, yet even though I typed the grammatically correct word it was changed to a plural. Strike two.

Feeling very discouraged and upset and like I did not know what they wanted, I got on really early again on Friday. By 10 or 10:30 a.m. I was out of work. I notified my team leader and told her and she said shew was aware and that "Dr. So and So should be sending in work soon...." It never happened. I checked for two hours and NOTHING. Not one stitch of work and no offer to find me anything. Strike three. I do not get an hourly wage. I get paid PER LINE. I cannot afford to sit there with NO WORK ALL DAY.

So I called my old company and they said yes, they wanted me back. Now even though I abhore 1-9 it is stable work and the work does not run out. I need stability right now before I get behind on the bills. That is why I called myself an idiot - Because I went back to my former employer, assuming they don't change their minds. I did not know what else to do.......

So there you have it....Back to the beginning again......I think.....

I think in this siutation, you made the right decision. You have to do whatever is right for you and it sounds like you did. The new company was screwing around with you and as you said, you need something that is stable. Even though you went back to your old company, hopefully you will now get treated better there or something will come along better in the mean time. Praying for you! Hugs!

SUGAR....Hope your neice had a nice birthday and hope your getting enough sleep.. day of tomorrow !!

Thanks, Shellie12! She had a great party!
