Big news! William (3 years old) decided to use the potty! He asked when we were at a friends house and just went. We are so proud of him!

Congrats to William! That's so great. Hope he continues to do well for you guys! :???:

Howdy Pardners!

I cannot believe we are into May...I kept it quiet but the Mrs. and I just returned from a cruise to celebrate our tenth wedding anniversary that took us to the Mediteranean and a few other stops in Europe. It was a dream trip and one that I will never, ever forget...In each city, I look for signs of Christmas...I found them, all over...From a Christmas tree carved from stone in Barcelona, to small Pinochio ornaments in Florence, to nativity scene postcards in Rome. Christmas was well repesented in the cities and within me. My iPod is chock full of Christmas songs all year long but I have to tell you that sitting on the balcony of our cabin, smoking a cuban cigar and listening to Christmas music as the sun sets is just about the finest hour a man can have, at least this man. I thought of this site, and the good folks here...RadioJon, Binger, Crown, Jeff Westover, Maureen, Auntie Mistletoe, folks I've literally known for many, many years now...Life is good folks, especially when you stop in your tracks, look around and says thanks!

It sounds like you're trip was wonderful! Happy Anniversary to your wife and many more great years to you guys!

Love the picture! She looks so cute! Congrats to Hermione!

Hey everyone! How are you all doing? I am well, just have been so busy the past couple of days. I worked some 12+ days and just a little bit of overtime the others. It's been so busy at work, so I was glad to have the day off today.

Not much going on here today. Tomorrow, I HAVE to get more house cleaning done. DH has to go teach tomorrow and the kids have daycare, so hopefully I can get a good bit done.

I'm glad to be all caught up on the posts again - it's amazing how much we all talk! What a great family we all are! :)

Well, I am off to do some reading, then I am going to head to bed. DH is working, so it's just the kids and I tonight. Talk to you all in the morning. God Bless and keep smiling!

Good Morning MMC!

busy this morning already...put fondant on 8 little cakes for the kids cake decorating class this afternoon. Going to drop them off at the church before I take my son to work.
Now have to finish putting everything together to tell the Christmas story to the kids. Have to dig up my little Christmas tree yet. The story is done as an acrostic using each letter of Christmas to tell the story.

I am looking forward to some fun at the pines after this busy day ends!

Peak-of-the-Week Greetings, my Friends!

Once again we crest the summit, pause, and look at the view to the Weekend.

Now, let's view this:
Days to the Season: 188
Days to Christmas Day: 230

Now UNDER a week remains until that all-important the 50 percent mark to the Season.
(Wow! Nearly half way through the wait. Just WOW!!)

Cool but comfortable here in the capital city at this hour where out thermometer read 67 degrees at the start of its journey to the mid-70's by this afternoon.
Rain is in the forecast.

Allright, Folks.
Carl awaits all comers at the weekly 'Pines open house.
This should be a standard one, but stay tuned for next week when the theme will revolve around passing the half way mark.
No telling what that camel has planned (both in the door prize and the coffee blend departments).
Sounds like one not to miss!

You have a Wonderful Wednesday, Everyone!
Not to mention a Happy Hump Day (as Carl likes to call it).

Good morning, MMC!

I can't believe that it is already Wednesday! I feel as if I was just complaining about Monday being here. Happy Hump Day & Pines Day! I think Carl is anxiously awaiting for the festivities to begin this evening. He still is in partying mode from Cinco de Mayo and is revved up on tons and tons of coffee (with some liquor mixed in there). I am looking forward to the fun at the Pines tonight!

I woke up around six thirty this morning which is considerably early for a summer day. I had to do some work, though, so I was on the phone for about an hour or so. I am surprised at how cool it is outside this morning. It is hard to believe that it was close to ninety degrees a couple of days ago, and now it'll only be in the sixties. I hate the dramatic temperature changes we get here!

I am still very sleepy but I am going to go ahead and get ready for my day! I can't believe it is almost nine in the morning, it still feels like it should be seven or so. I hope you all have a wonderful day and that work is not too hectic or stressful for any of you. Take it easy and prepare yourself for a night at the Pines! :]

Jayish, Happy Anniversary! It sounds like a wonderful cruise you went on! I hope you post some pictures! (Maybe you did, I just haven't looked yet). Sure sounds more scenic than the one Wayne and I went on in October. I did just like you and searched for Christmas goodies but did not find a lot. I did come home with a Christmas Nativity from Mexico on that cruise and a Carnival Cruise Christmas ornament off of the ship.

It was gorgeous over in Europe, not too hot, a bit of rain early in the week but how bad can it be to be rained on in France!!!

I took a cruise to Mexico some years ago that left out of Long Beach California and found the coast to be absolutely beautiful! Some of the ports were very nice too but the poverty of Mexico is striking...Encinada in particular was tough to see some areas...But it is a gorgeous country though!

I will post some photos!!!

My granddaughter will be here shortly. She ask, almost everyday, to hear Mele Kalikimaka. She even gets her mom to play it all the time. Her mom (my daughter) is a college teacher and one day she was at her desk and heard her co-worker quietly start singing, "Mele Kalikimaka" and she turned to him and loudly sang the rest, "is the thing to say on a bright Hawaiian Christmas Day"! He didn't realize she heard him. They started laughing and she told him how her daughter loves that song. This just happened a couple of months ago so it's nice to sing those tunes during the "off season"! =)

Made- I am so sorry - Did I read that your little niece is having arthritis again ?? That poor little lamb.......

Anything new on your niece?

She is defintely in a flair right now. Both of her knees are really swollen and she has started complaining of her elbow which never hurt her before. The doctor's started her on steroids last week to try to get it under control but so far they haven't really helped. The good news is she didn't react to the Orcenia and she will go for her second infusion next week.

Caninemom3- Hermione's pick is adorable!!!!
