seems odd to me to hear of school being out already, ours is not out until the end of June. (but then it is not on again until after labour day in Septmeber)

The schools here get out this week. Then they will go back the first of august.

I know!!! They were half a second a way from launching but they got some high pressure readings on one of the engines. So the computer aborted it and now they are going to go check that engine this afternoon to see it there is anything wrong with it.

I am popping in and out as I do some yard work and listen to my neighbour complain about how my flowers smell. (sweet williams, violets and marigolds with hosta in the back) But she does nothing with her yard, not even keeping the lawn trimmed. (I live in a row house)
(of course, the clouds of cigarette smoke do not seem to bother her at all !)

Good Morning MMC!!!!! It's going to be a hot one here in central Indy with a high of 86 degree's today. So most of my day will be spent watching Indy 500 qualifying and then the nascar race in front of the air conditioner. The first thing I have to do though is run to the grocery store to get some snack foods for tonight since my cousin is coming over to watch the race. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!

Morning, gang. I have an announcement to make.......

There are no more school related items on my agenda. I will be home every night this week (first time since Christmas). No ballgame duty, no ceremonies, no banquets....nothing. Just me and the wifey....and I plan on absolutely spoiling her with my presence (or cursing her...depend on how you look at it). We have four days of school left, but all testing days. I have been in high gear planning next year because I want to be able to get a list of important summer dates out before we leave.

I'm so relaxed right now, I didn't realize the tension and pressure that had built up over the past several months. The coffee is good, the martins are flying, the breeze is blowing.....and Bing Crosby is singing White Christmas on iTunes....and now I'm going to twitterize MMC....

The weather here is Beauitful...lows at night in the low 60's and highs around 80,it's the calm before the storm as far the heat goes,although the Southeast is suppose to be below average re: summer temps but I have never seen a "cool" summer down here..maybe that just means it won't be as oppressive!!

Good evening, dear Christmas family

It has been a little while since I was here I think. I am so tired tonight that I didn't really read all the posts.......I am just hoping all are well.

Not much going on here and that's a good thing I think. I am settling down to watch Harry Potter And The Prisoner of Azkaban....One of my favorite "Harry" movies.....Okay. I confess, I have a thing for Sirius Black (Gary Oldman) !! But I love all the Harry movies and books also !! Still looking at pictures and vidoes on my iPod of Ivy and crying.... Whoever would think a little 12 pound pup could leave this big of an impact ?? I just hope she is well now...

I wish there was something I could do to take away your pain, just know I am thinking of you & sending you hugs. Ivy will always be with you...just like they say, dogs leave pawprints on our hearts!!

My neighbour is on the left and her little girl keeps saying "but that is our spot mom" and then mom quickly hushes her and tells her to be quiet and get inside.

food dehydrator is now full of fresh sliced onions (thank goodness for food processors!)
I set it outside in the back since I do not want the house to smell like onions for a week!
(my neighbour ought to love this!! LOL)
I had a 10lb bag of them and noticed some where going soft so thought I had better get them dried so I did not loose them all.

tomato and lettuce planted! I put the lettuce in an old stove converted into a planter because we have a few rabbits here who think lettuce was planted for them. I am going to put some pots on the side and back top and plant a few things in the trough at the bottom too. Have to figure out what now.

this was a new perfection oil cook stove, but due to over 1/2 of it missing and very rusted I was told it was worthless. To bad, it was made in 1917. But at least it has a new purpose.
