Christmas Countdown - 2012

I hope everyone had a good first half to their weekend!

I had a fun day with my family and friends. I got a lot of cleaning done this morning which made me feel good to get it out of the way. Then my family grilled out steaks for dinner and they were delicious. We invited my grandpa over and played corn-hole for a couple of hours with ourselves and family friends. My best friend moved home from college and we spent the evening hanging out, had a drink, and playing with his new puppy. The puppy is by far the most adorable little guy I've ever seen, he's only 2 months old. What a great day/night!

I am watching a show, unwinding, and then I am off to bed. Night everyone!

I had to look up what the corn-hole game was, turns out we play it here but call it the bean bag toss. Played it often with my kids but wore it out and never got a new one.

Good morning, everybody! Once again, I'm sitting on the deck drinking coffee and watching the birds. They are putting on a show this morning. I'd say I have around 30 flying (they don't all live here) and they are even swooping down to around 6 ft from me. I love it!

Yesteday was great! Yard work, house work, sleepy time, race, and hot wings for supper. It was really nice. I'm going to do more of the same today, except that I bought a bike yesterday and I plan on riding that again. I had one right when I started the board, but someone stole it. 40 pounds later, I must do something.....

CM3, good luck with the iPod...I dropped mine in water right after Christmas....after a fews days it was back to normal. It has some weird kinks like not being able to turn off and the battery isn't as good, but it's still good.

Hallmark ornament premiere!!! I forgot!! When is that?

kinda bummed cos my best soccer team lost the champions league final yesterday being the better team and all.....but they didn´t take advantage of their chances and that punished em in the end....chelsea played horrible...they didn´t really play at all...but they used their one chance from a corner that tied the game that ended in the penalty shoot-out...horrible.....But congrats to Chelsea....they were lucky in the end and took home the trophy....well done Chelsea

always a downer when your favorite team looses.
My favorite dance teams are not in the finals on dancing with the stars.
oh well, I guess we have to move on!

Morning! Went running this am and now I am sitting with my gigantic cup of coffee! Not even 9 am and got laundry washed and folded, got the kids some bagels, and have a poundcake baking for dessert at my grandparents' today. Wooo hoo! It's supposed to be a beautiful day here - hope everyone has a lovely one!

I just put ingredients in bread machine for some potato bread...new recipe, will see how it turns out.

Good Morning MMC!!!! It's going to be HOT here in central Indy today where we already stand at 77 degrees. I'm getting ready to head to church and then it will be back home to try and stay cool. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!

sounds like a great morning, I love to sit in my back yard in the morning, by afternoon it is not possible because the full sun is on it and it is like sitting in an oven.
I want to get a bike again, was looking at some nice ones downtown. The one I like was yellow with poka dots and a wicker basket on the front.

Thanks, Coach !! I am crossing all my fingers (and toes !) that my Ipod will live. The Ornament premier is July 14th and 15th !! I cant wait either !!

anyway, I went out barefoot and the cement was so hot my feet feel burned now, ouch!

I hope your feet feel better soon! It is gorgeous over here, too - just way too humid for me. Salad sounds yummy!

The front of my apartment gets full sun from noon to 8 o'clock and it's just like an oven. The screen door can get so hot that it will burn you if you touch anything other than the handle. I also have to put a baby sock over my door knob so I don't burn my hand when I open the door. My neighbor planted a tree when they moved in to help block the sun but it's just now starting to get big enough to help. In another 5 years or so it will hopefully block out most of the sun.

We usually have 5 or 6 humming birds that hang around but I haven't seen them this year. Maybe they don't like the new food my neighbors are using in the feeders.

My boss is usually great, but I guess his superiors were on him so the trickle down effect runs right to me, so on the busiest day of the week we have several little projects to do instead of focusing on the customer, sometimes I question the reasoning.

Nothing new here to report. The next couple of weeks are going to fly by and be busy here for me though - we going camping this week and going outlet shopping, going to Mytrle Beach the first week of June, and of course Memorial Day weekend soon as well. It will be a fun next weeks!

Camping? Can I go? I've been trying to get some friends together to go but we can't seem to get everyone's schedule's to line up.

Wow - that's cold. My MIL loves it cold like that at their house too.

I have to set it that low if I want it to cool the whole apartment. I use to leave it at 68 but then the bedrooms where still hovering around 75 degrees. With it set to 58 the bedrooms get down to about 70 degree's.
