I was busy with Wayne and his health issues last week so I missed your DH's birthday. Happy Birthday!!!!

I am trying to stay current with the Countdown. I have been having trouble staying on top of it for several months now! I think things are getting back to normal now. =)

Good evening, Christmas Family !

I am SO GLAD this week is over.

I was thinking about QVC this afternoon while I was typing and I really hope they have those Christmas trees like they had last year.......the ones that have not electric cords but the lights come on when one section is plugged into another.....One of those would be dandy for my sister !!

Has anyone started their shopping yet ?? I hope to start saving money at the end of July..

My old iPod finally died. I had sent it to The Pod Drop (they are EXCELLENT by the way) and they called me today to say that it needed a whole new board which I could buy a whole new iPod for so I told them to just recycle it. There was no charge either !! I have my "adopted" iPod and believe you me I am keeping it AWAY from all water !

It is time for me to pick out a movie. I usually watch one of the Harry Potter movies or sometimes one of the Narnia movies......I guess those two are my way of "escaping" to another land when I have had such a week.

Everyone take care and I hope and pray all are well. Thank you for all your positive posts about my learning to be an editor. My plan is (hopefully) to become good at it and then move on to another company. The one I am with has upset me one too many times and if I am a good editor another job will be no problem....

well, that evening went totally different than planed!

Got called to pick up my son from work because he was feeling dizzy and had ringing in his ears. After being in emergency 3 hours found out that his hemoglobin levels were dangerously low (normal is 14 his was 4) He has had this before because of his hiatus hernia. So he is on iron tablets again. Will have to take him to our doctor again next week. I think we will have to investigate to make sure his hernia is not bleeding again.

I am tired, but want to watch Nik Wallenda walk the tight rope across Niagara Falls

Really small. Our population is somewhere around 150 - 200 people.

Mayberry, NC is New York City compared to Bellville...but I love it!

That sounds just like the size and the kind of place that I always dreamed of living in, a small town or just outside of one....:-D

All this hustle and bustle around here, l mean, I don't live in the city, I live in the suburbs, and even around here, it is getting so crowded, as the time is going by. The traffic is a nightmare every morning and evening coming to and from work, and getting worse each year. It seems as every place I look, I see another housing development going up (I was just saying the other day to someone, that it seems like if there is a tree standing around here, someone is going to cut it down to build another house). I dream of one day, moving out west somewhere's, like Montana, Utah, Idaho, buy some land and just live life.... Now that would be a way to live, a little slower and more peaceful...Ahhh, It is a dream I have!

Another simply wonderful day weather-wise here yesterday with pleasantly warm temps, low humidity and gentle breezes. More of the same is predicted on through the weekend.
The first half of June 2012 is going down in my memory as one of the best ones I've ever experienced.
We show 59 degrees here at this hour in the capital city.

Thank you! I still can't realize it's on its way. I was slammed at work today---three brochures and a course schedule with tiny print, plus a few other jobs. Before I go out on vacation, they shove as much as they can across my desk because they can't trust a temp the way they can trust my eagle eye. It's flattering, but a nuisance. I'm so tired and relieved to be through with the workweek that I feel like having a cry. That, and I'm expecting a box from Florida with my dad's ashes and some other items that the current executor found in the house.

I use to have all my Christmas shopping done before November when I had a lot of people to buy for. We now draw names and just buy for the grandchildren so I don't have as many to buy for. I actually wait until October or November to start shopping. I get done with it all quickly!

I think it's going to slow them down a little bit but not much. My bet is that the leaders will still be running close to 200mph if not over it during the race.
