Wayne and I were going to go to the "year round" Christmas store today but it's closed? They said it will be opened for business later this summer so we will go then. We might head over to Hobby Lobby and check out what they have there.

This evening we plan to tune into the Greasy Skillet Show! For more info on that, just check out my link below. Who else will be joining us?

Good Morning MMC!!!!!! It's going to be another hot day here in central Indy with a high in the 90's. At least there is a slight chance of rain. I have some errands to run this morning and then I have to go babysit while my mom and sister go to a baby shower. Then it's off to dinner. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!

Same here. Not much chance of rain until tomorrow, though - we really need it! The city has posted a lawn-watering ban effective until September. I'm out in the country, and the grass is turning brown already

It is really quiet in here right now, I think I will put on some Christmas music. I found Michael Crawford's CD at a garage sale and have been saving it for such a day as today.

Saturday hello! The weatherman says we're going to have a gorgeous weekend!

All this hustle and bustle around here, l mean, I don't live in the city, I live in the suburbs, and even around here, it is getting so crowded, as the time is going by. The traffic is a nightmare every morning and evening coming to and from work, and getting worse each year. It seems as every place I look, I see another housing development going up (I was just saying the other day to someone, that it seems like if there is a tree standing around here, someone is going to cut it down to build another house).

I grew up in Frederick County when it was cornfields and cows and small towns. Now the small towns are spreading out into housing developments, and the cornfields are growing shopping plazas. Most of the farmers have sold out to the planners. Last year I got lost a few miles from my hometown---there were so many new streets and the road configurations had changed. The changes are so many that, in a sense, the place where I grew up is gone---"you can't go home again."

well, that evening went totally different than planed!

Got called to pick up my son from work because he was feeling dizzy and had ringing in his ears. After being in emergency 3 hours found out that his hemoglobin levels were dangerously low (normal is 14 his was 4) He has had this before because of his hiatus hernia. So he is on iron tablets again. Will have to take him to our doctor again next week. I think we will have to investigate to make sure his hernia is not bleeding again.

I am tired, but want to watch Nik Wallenda walk the tight rope across Niagara Falls

How scary..I'm glad he is ok now, CS. I will keep him in my thoughts & prayers!!

Good morning, snowflake! Since I wasn't feeling all that great, I spent the evening by reading and playing with the cats. How was your evening? Did you watch any new Christmas movies? Hugs for you and Harlowe!!!

I'm sorry to hear that, Meceka. Hope you're feeling much better today!! Reading & playing w/ the cats sounds pretty wonderful, though =) I was asleep by 9:00, so I didn't do a whole lot myself. I was beat! Thanks for the hugs, we are sending some back to you guys!!

How are you all today?

I am doing especially good this morning, I got the best night of sleep that I've had in a long time. Feels great!

Laundry is going, vaccuuming done, and coffee brewing. Not a bad start!

I just put in a Christmas CD- it's one of my faves. It's called Crooners Sing Christmas- and it has some rare live recordings from Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole, Bing Crosby, and Dean Martin. Music to my ears!!

Think I will shower soon, and throw in a movie.

BallCoach- Forget everything I said about the leaders going 200mph during the race. Nascar has decided to change the left side tires on the cars because some of the teams were having issues. So who knows what's going to happen now.

Not much going on here today. It is really very warm and looking like showers from time to time. I hope to see everyone at the Greasy Skillet tonight !! Remember to put on your dancing shoes !!!

it is much the same here. Only difference is we are busy changing a couple of bedrooms around. My son wants the smaller room to sleep in because he has the whole basement for his stuff. Easier to keep clean he says.LOL what a practical guy!

So the other larger room is going to be the guest room / junk collecting room. Going to put all the stuff in it my daughter who is away at collage left here. This way I get my living room back!

Can I wear my red shoes?

It's pretty quiet here today for us, too. It's actually been really nice!

We just grilled out- we had pork tenderloins, broccoli & cheese, and dinner rolls. Sooo good!

I went Father's Day shopping for Adrian- got him a hardcover Marvel Comics trivia book and his favorite cocktail ingredients- Bombay Sapphire gin, some tonic water, and limes. He likes to have one of those every once in awhile, so at least we'll have some in the house.
And a super cute Father's Day puppy card from Har!! We should be all set.

I went to Marshall's while I was out & about, and was hoping they'd have the start of their Fall/Halloween decor out, but no such luck. They actually did have a few winter sweaters, though! Some teenage girls were complaining about them, they wanted more tank tops & shorts. I just had to laugh to myself!! I was kind of excited about them =]

I've been thinking about Fall all day. So, I threw in the original Halloween dvd. Love that movie, so creepy, and lots of cool fall scenes & pumpkins. Jamie Lee Curtis is pretty awesome, too!

Maybe I'll hunt down some of my fall {decoration} pictures & come up w/ a game plan for decorating this year. If I find them, I'll put them in an album on my profile.

We are just going to chill, take Harlowe on a walk when it cools down some more, and then hang out on the patio. Maybe throw in another movie to wind down before bed.

Sounds like you had a very nice day! When I was Father's Day shopping I saw a couple of the Halloween movies but decided not to get them. After reading your post I wish I had!!
