Well I remembered why I was staying up late. It was to check the ShopNbc schedule for the 25th. Unfortunately it looks like they won't be having a Christmas in July event this year. Which is kind of depressing. On the bright side though, at least they're not going to make some half hearted attempt at it like they did last year.

Not got much to do today, the same old daily housework then thats it!! One of my daughters is going to her friends for tea after school, she was so excited this morning! Im thinking about taking my eldest clothes shopping for some bits to take on her school residential trip.

He really went all out with the fireworks.
But how about that one burst that came up in the shape of a red white and blue camel?
Wasn't that just a bit over the top?

Didn't cool things off too much, though, owing to the extremely high humidity.
We hit over 100 again yesterday.

Wayne (Snow-in-Texas) just got very lucky!!!
This morning we were getting ready to take a walk and he noticed he could not find his phone anywhere. I told him I bet it fell off his clip at the lake last night when we went to see fireworks. We drove out there and I started calling it and sure enough it was laying in the grass ringing near where we were sitting last night! Lucky we got it before someone else did and also glad it didn't rain last night! He had a missed call from work! It was just a reminder for him to come in early.
We went ahead and took a walk out at the lake after we found it.

It is actually raining a little here as I sit and catch up on posts and drink my coffee. Clancy is on top of her "house", Wish is on the back of the love seat snoozing and Hermione is playing with one of her toys. Smokey and Lily are about doing "kitty things", (climbing, etc) and I am of course typing.
I got quite startled last evening as the phone rang at 10:15. I HATE when the phone rings at night. It always makes me think there is something wrong with someone. It was my sister just calling to talk as their power was out. I guess they had a HUGE storm with hail and all. It completely missed us though, which is very odd because usually when my sister's area gets hammered with a storm we usually do to. I am just so glad she and Wes were safe.
Back to work for me in just about an hour and a half. But it's okay, just today and tomorrow and then the weekend. I can't WAIT until next Friday. I am hopefully going to get a shot to get these allergies under control again. It has been just horrid since the shot wore off from last time.
So excited that the Hallmark Ornament premiere is Next weekend also !!! Hurrah !!! There are so many I want but not sure how many I will actually get. I hope the weather is a little cooler that day and that my sister and I have fun.
I don't have any plans at all this weekend. Just trying to stay cool. How about everyone here ?? What are you planning this weekend ?
Made - You asked about the fuel lines on my husband's truck. I guess they do have to replace all of the lines and the quote they gave my husband on the fuel pump was $500 Plus. Still I think that is an outrageous amount to fix something. But what can a person do ? We can't afford a new vehicle right now.
It sounds like everyone enjoyed their 4th of July yesterday. Once again I just stayed in because every time I went out it felt as though the heat was crushing me. I walked around the yard a couple of times with the furkids. I wanted to get Wish back inside quickly though with his poor little heart the way it is and my breathing being like it is right now so we did not stay out long.

XMas - Those headaches are concerning me also. Have you always gotten "heat" headaches ??

Aww... Thanks! I'm not an expert at staying positive, and definitely have my moments, but I when I'm down I try to remember the good things in life and throw out the "JUNK"!
