Sorry, double post.
Well, the first day was spent rafting on the canoe. I'm not as young or as good as I once was, but I gave it heck! With this huge cut on my leg and the bruise on my ribcage from where i landed on a rock, I'm pretty sore. Really sore. Tomorrow we are getting on the lake, so it should be easy......I hope.
That is a good idea! What CD are you going to get?
I would love to have an old-fashioned bicycle, but nowadays it would have to have a John Deere seat or one just as wide!!!
see there merry....if you weren't so good @ what you do they wouldn't earmark stuff for you.
i do hope you find a bike you like. i love those kind you're talking about. none of the bells, whistles, speed, & shiny bits just a regular bike. my daddy comes across them sometimes & i always take them for a spin around before he sells them.
Here is another picture of Gaylord Texan Hotel lobby at Christmas time. That will be a great place for all of us to stay for our Christmas gathering! Isn't it beautiful?!

She is doing good. Her pain is down to a 5 from a 9. She recently started complaining about her jaw though so they are going to do an mri on monday to see whats going on.
I remember when I got my first job at napa and had to be on my feet all day. My back killed me for a about a week but then it got better. My recommendation. Good shoes and gel insoles.
I'm been listening to Christmas music all day while at work; I going to stay in my cool mode and crank the AC at home and watch the Polar Express tonight!!!
Good afternoon, MMC!
I am being very lazy today due to the heat. I am now over half-way through the book Solice mentioned in an earlier post, The Forgotten Garden, by Kate Morton - it's good!
I hope everyone is having a good day and staying cool!

I haven't decided yet ... I've been too busy to review my Amazon wish list! I'll let you know!
Oh, c'mon, surely you exaggerate!!
When I was a kid, my dad bought an exercise cycle with an enormous seat. "Wow!" I said, "an elephant could fit on that seat!"
"Watch it!" he replied.
Yes, that's true. It was a slammin' workday, though. I came home and took a nap for about half an hour until Mr. came in.
I think I've found a plain-n-simple bike I like, but whether I still have enough strength in my legs to pedal a one-speed and whether my ol' body remembers how to balance are big question marks!
The jet is fired up!!! All aboard. Hmmm. Now we just need to get someone on here who owns a hotel. Maybe that will have to be a grand prize for some sort of contest!
I had another thought: maybe they would let us be night security and we could take turns sleeping there! One of us would stand guard at a time, and if we weren't sleepy, we could shop!!!

We have the Gaylord Texan hotel here that really does it up for Christmas. Here is their lobby. Wayne and I drove out there last year on the way to the mall but they had something going on that day and the traffic was bad. We decided to skip it. We are not too far away from it so we will probably go this December. We have talked about staying there sometime. You can get a room overlooking the lobby.
Come join us too, MerryMistletoe!

Okay, who wants to buy it? Shall we all go in together on this?
My sister's father in law is trying to get rid of his 3 wheel bike and I think the seat on it is pretty darn close to the size of a john deere one. Do you want me to load it on the Jet so you can try it out?
I am off to the doctor for a blood test so I can get chemo on Monday. TTYL
Guess who's super-awesome supervisor let her leave work early?? Yup, ME!! I caught the 2:34 bus and was home before 3!!! I think now would be a nice time for a nap.

Okay now! You have my interest from a 30+ years die hard Beatles fan!!! I have seen a few tribute bands, who are you going to see??? To think you forgot about it? He he! I count down the days to see anything to do with the Beatles! =)
Texas largest Christmas store is now opened!!! 65,000 square foot building loaded with Christmas goodies! Wayne and I will be going there real soon!!!
Who all wants to join us???
Good morning!
Another day staying home because of the heat. I have to keep changing the outdoor fur kids water as their bowls are heating up so fast the water is undrinkable. Poor babies! I have several cats and kittens missing. I hope they are just hiding out in a cool spot - that is usually what they do during days like these.
Right now it is comfortable in the house - the northern and western windows are open and cooler air (less than 86 which is the indoor temperature at the moment) is flowing in. I also found a fan we had used years ago and it is going in the kitchen. I was so happy it still worked! I'm trying to get as much cool air inside as possible before I shut all the windows. I also found a box fan, but it needs major cleaning and I have to unscrew the front and back to get at the inside. Unfortunately, the house gremlin seems to have hidden all the screwdrivers on me
Take care, Christmas family, and stay cool and hydrated!!!
