I am starting to feel better too, back not nearly as sore today. Feet a little better too. I will make it, just have to keep pushing! When I get my first paycheck I am going to get a good pair of shoes for sure!

After my foot injury I know how important good shoes are, no more scrimping on those for me. Also try a good set of insoles or arch supports. They keep my foot from hurting.

Another busy day at work, if it's not one thing it's another. With CAH's pictures of the hotel and word that the Christmas store is open, I just want to be able to open mine sooner rather than later. :-? Have I said I hate summer? Enough with this heat already.

well i think i'm in a pity party mood.
why is it i feel like i'm in a house w/ strangers. no one does ANYTHING i ask of them w/out an argument (or atleast hostility).
i wanted to get so much done around here today since we are having people over tomorrow for a late july 4th celebration. sighhhh

my brother, sil, & a friend came over this afternoon to hang out @ the pool. my hubby had told them that was fine but that we would be inside working. when they got here he was finishing the mowing & weedeating & just stayed out there w/ them...sigh again!!! the kids managed to do their chores but, like i said, not w/out fussing about it.

later i asked 1 of them to go to the grocery store so that i could bake a few things tonight for tomorrow. it never happened, everyone wants the fun but no work. uugghh!

sorry for the rant but i have to vent some where.

Good evening, Christmas family

Wish is at my side asleep, Hermione is asleep on the back of the love seat and Clancy is on the couch snoozing. I am watching The Chronicles of Narnia, The Lion, Witch and Wardrobe. It is one of my favorite movies !! I especially LOVE Aslan (who is of course an allegorical Christ) .......How I wish I could go to Aslan's country after work most evenings. I would throw my arms around his big golden mane and just hug......

It was 100 degrees here today. Our air is struggling as it is 20 years old...I just hope and pray it makes it !!

CAH...When you go to the Christmas store you will have to take pictures and maybe another video !!!!!!! Also, you have to take note of any polar bear ornaments and stuff they have and photograph those too !!!! xo

Well, It was a great evening, got home from work, had to do a few errands (getting ready for a party tomorrow) and then came home a chilled for the rest of the evening. I watched the Polar Express and also Harry Potter and the Chamber of secrets!
I won't be here tomorrow, have to party all day; Yea, I know, priorities, priorities....But, a Dad has to do what a Dad has to do!:lol:
No seriously, We are going to have that graduation party for my daughter tomorrow and it sounds like it's going to be the hottest day of the year...
Well, we have the 30 foot pool, giant slide (remember this?)

and pool and plenty of food and cold drinks... Hopefully, it will be a nice day, even with the heat! So, I'll see you all on Sunday!~ Maybe I'll let Carl borrow the slide for the Pines next Wednesday.......

Currently, we stand at 74 degrees here in the capital city.

Well, today I go out car shopping with my niece.
Should be fun until the heat builds.
(Nothing like being in an asphalt parking lot with triple digit temperatures!)

Good Friday evening, my Christmas friends!

Gosh, I can barely keep up with the posts! I've been on the go here in the mountains. I stop for a few minutes to try to get caught up, but it just doesn't happen.

We're having a great time, and staying on the road. Another busy day tomorrow, then home on Sunday.

I have loved the Beatles since I graduated high school.

Awesome! I have not seen them. Have you heard of Rain? The guys that played in Broadway not too long ago? Wayne and I have seen them 4 times. They are absolutely amazing! First time I saw them was 2 years ago, had front row tickets and ready to "pick them" to death. I told Wayne that I was a little afraid I would be disappointed. NOPE! They blew me away and it was as if I was watching The Beatles, themselves, live!!! They had all their mannerisms down, singing, the way they dressed, etc. They changed into different costumes throughout the show displaying the years of their looks changing.

When they tour here they usually perform every night for a week. I was so impressed that when we saw them for the first time, sitting in the front row, we went back the very next day to see them again, upper balcony. We did the same this year too when they came in town. We sat in the front row again then went back the very next day. Upper balcony on the 2nd day.

I have seen a few other tribute band but Rain is the best so far.

Please give me a report on what you think of these guys you will be seeing. HAVE FUN! Be sure to, "Twist and Shout"!

I'm jealous now. :-?

OMG! Thanks for the reminder! I actually came across a video that I took last year with YOU in mind and never got it uploaded to youtube! I forgot all about it and discovered it the other day. It was taken at that store with polar bears. I will get that to you real soon!

I am in such a good mood today!

Over the past few days we have started receiving hospital bills for when Wayne had to stay there with his heart problem. My jaw just dropped when I saw how much everything cost, which is not unusual to be that high. Insurance is covering a lot but our balance is still insane. At first I was thinking how are we going to pay for all this?

Now I look at all these bills as a blessing! Wayne got thoroughly checked over, blood work done, every possible test on his heart and all came back looking great! I stayed with him every night at the hospital, everyone there was so nice, he got the best care and I was glad they fixed his heart rhythm. The hospital stay could have been tragic but it wasn't! I feel a sense of peace that he's doing well!

These bills are worth every penny to me just to know he is healthy!

I think we are going to do something Christmasy today. We just might go to that very large Christmas store.

Thank you, snowflake! I still haven't seen any of them, but it was so hot yesterday that the other cats stayed in hiding, too. I'll look later this morning when I feed them. My goodness, that is going to be hot! Is there humidity with the heat? Stay cool and hydrated!

Walking shoes - I got mine on Amazon. They were supplied by a store that caters to nurses. There is such a big difference between those shoes and my old pair of tennis shoes I got at a department store. The cost was only a bit more and there was free shipping, too!

No, I haven't found them yet. The neighbors were shooting fireworks all around us last night, so if they are in hiding, it will be a while until they come out. Breakfast is in a few minutes, though, and some might show up then. It saddens me, too.

Reading through these posts about people having fun, enjoying glimpses of Christmas, relaxing with pets, struggling with bills, dealing with bosses and so much more. Made me realise we have become like family. I know I love to come here and catch up with what is going on with everyone.

Made, have they got that fire under control at the State Park? I am not sure if it has been on the news, I haven't had the tv on.

They got it put out in about 2 hours. It burnt 27 acres but most of that was an open field they use for big groups to camp in and just a few acres was actual woods. They got lucky with the wind coming out of the south yesterday. If it had been blowing from west like it normally does it would have blown it right into the campgrounds.
